Kandi Burruss Says She Believes In Pre-Nups Before Marriage Via Bravo Just last week, RHOA Kandi Burruss announced that she was officially engaged to her producer-boo Todd Tucker. A few hours ago, Kandi took to her Bravo RHOA blog to talk about her excitement in planning her dream wedding and who she will, or will not, be inviting. Well, if you haven’t heard I’m engaged! That wasn’t on any of the episodes. That just happened on New Years. Todd popped the question. I was shocked to find out that at the same time Gregg popped the question to NeNe! Congratulations to them! I guess love was in the air for the beginning of 2013. We all are starting our year off right. I am happy, excited, and curious about what the future holds for me and my family. I have so much to think about now, so much to prepare for. I’m clueless. We don’t know if we want a destination wedding, or if we want to do it in Atlanta. Do we want a big wedding or a small intimate one? Do we even want a wedding? Should we just get married privately and do a big reception? Well, I think I’ve axed that one out already. I think we’ll do a more intimate one, but if we did it in Atlanta, that’s not going to happen. It would turn into a HUGE wedding, because I have way too many family, friends, and people in general that I know, who would be offended if they’re not invited. Hmm… this is going to be crazy. I guess I’ll have to get advice from the other ladies in our circle. One interesting topic that the Xscape chanteuse touched on candidly was her belief in prenuptial agreements. This part is for you Todd. Since I’m newly engaged, I’m going to touch on a couple of things in the last couple of episodes that would be related to marriage and family. First I’ll go back to my conversation with Porsha about pre-nups. I do believe in pre-nups. I know that some people feel if you are truly in love and are planning to be dedicated to your marriage that a pre-nup somehow means the person requesting the pre-nup is expecting the marriage to fail. I don’t agree. I feel like it’s a safety precaution. Just like if you have a fire extinguisher in your home it doesn’t mean you expect it to burn down, but you’re just prepared to put out the fire before it starts if need be. I’ve had friends and associates who didn’t get a pre-nup say “they didn’t need one,” “she or he would never do that,” etc. But then later when they got divorced, things got ugly, and the person tried to get everything, they were like, “I would have never thought they would have done that to me,” “she or he is not the person I married,” blah, blah, blah. I feel like people do some crazy and vindictive things when they’re hurt, so I think there should be agreements set in place while everyone is thinking clearly. That way if D-day ever comes (and hopefully it won’t, but if it does), then it doesn’t have to get uglier and more hurtful than it already is. I hope Porsha and Kordell’s marriage lasts for a lifetime, but I will say that I was shocked when she told me that they didn’t do a pre-nup. I don’t know why I was shocked, but I was. Well, some people like things the good ol’ fashion way, and there’s nothing wrong with that. To each his own! Spy Kid Alex Vega is a lot of fun….I was having this conversation yesterday about how girls under 25 are so much better than girls over 25 and not for the obvious physical appearance advantage but across the fucking board…they are just more fun….it’s like they were exposed to the internet at a young age, grew up watching sex tapes and nipple slips, totally exposing themselves on social media for strangers being totally normal…equipped with a camera phone to put themselves on blast and fashion styles that are sleazy, erotic, leggings and short shorts….because not only do these girls take awesome pics of themselves and not give a fuck….they always wear thong bikinis like they were the one piece of yesteryear… I am so into this….
Rob Parker, the ESPN commentator who made slick remarks about RGIII and his “blackness,” has made his first comments since being suspended. He states that the idea behind his views are based on conversations within the black community. According to Washington CBS Local: Shortly before Robert Griffin III led the Washington Redskins to the team’s first home playoff game in 13 years, an ESPN commentator who questioned the quarterback’s standing as a black man made his first on-air comments since his suspension. Rob Parker, who was suspended last month for referring to the rookie quarterback as a “cornball brother” with possible Republican leanings, offered his first on-air interview since the incident on ESPN. In an interview with WDIV-TV in Detroit, Parker, a contributor for ESPN’s “First Take,” clarified that the controversial segment came from normal, everyday conversations that happen in the black community and was not intended to be directed at Griffin. “It was just a conversation that’s had in the black community when athletes or famous entertainers or whatever push away from their people,” Parker said. “That’s what it’s about.” Parker added: “The whole thing is, and I want to make this clear, I wasn’t saying he wasn’t being black enough. When people say that, it’s just not true. I was saying these are conversations that take place once a guy pushes away. It was never aimed at him, [nor] was I calling him that.” Before the segment took place, Parker said the staff had gone over what he had planned on saying during a pre-production meeting. He said that the ESPN staff had an idea of where the conversation was going to go, but that it wasn’t meant to slam RGIII or be malicious. “It was never to condemn the young man,” Parker said. “RGIII is a great, young man with a bright future.” SMH. Nice save, buddy. On a sidenote, RGIII (and his doppelgänger Pusha T) need to retire those braids….STAT!!! Discuss…

She sells a mammoth number of records, and she pens personal tracks that create buzz over her personal life. Is she writing about John Mayer here? Jake Gyllenhaal there? Swift never says, but the conversation alone keeps her an integral part of the Zeitgeist. Of course, Taylor did engage in two high profile relationships as well. Everything seemed serious between her and Conor Kennedy, until the pair simply split and she quickly rebounded with Harry Styles of One Direction. They are still together. But Swift remains above the fray throughout; she is never caught in any scandal and continues to rake in the awards, winning two Grammys in 2012. There’s also this: Swift was just named the Most Charitable Celebrity of the past 12 months. Yes, it’s very good to be Taylor Swift. And with the 23-year old embarking on a new tour this March, it’s hard not to imagine her sitting once again on this same list a year from now.
I honestly cannot believe I am making another MBE. I got tickets in June for a VIP package for Philly. It wasn’t a meet & greet package but I was still happy. On November 3rd I went up to Philly to try and find Justin. The concert was Sunday so I decided I would try and find him the day before . I got to Philly around 8 a.m. and had no sign of Justin at all. I drove around all day and got nothing checking every place. Around 1 p.m. Dan tweeted he was at a restaurant. I went there and followed him out of the restaurant, got a pic with him, and ended up loosing him. We drove around and we saw tour buses. I SCREAMED AND RAN OUT OF THE CAR. We ended up meeting all of the dancers. Nick later told us that Justin wasn’t with them. It was 7 p.m. now and I thought I had no hope. We left and drove around. We checked some more hotels and decided to stay at one and wait. We ended up walking in and out of the lobby twice. I walked back in to check one more time and walked right into Kenny and Allison. I KNEW JUSTIN WAS STAYING AT THIS HOTEL. I ran to the side of the hotel and there was Justin’s tour bus. I freaked out. There were only ten of us there and I was telling everyone to calm down or Justin won’t come over. Justin walked out of the bus after 45 minutes and I called him over because I told everyone to stop talking and don’t scream. I said, “Justin please come here. I have a gift for you.” He goes, “You have a gift for me?” and I said, “Well not really.. for you but for your hamster.” He said, “My hamster? Pet Smart?” and he came over to me and took the present. We took a picture and he then took some with the other people and left. I thought honestly Justin could care less about my present. The next day I went back to the hotel. This was the day of the concert. I met Justin’s grandparents and Scrappy. We waited until around 3 p.m. and there was about 40 people there at this time. I thought there was no way Justin was going to stop. They were bringing Justin’s luggage to the bus and what do I see on the luggage – MY GIFT! I was freaking out. I couldn’t believe he kept it. It was 3 p.m. and Justin walked out of the side. I called him over saying, “Justin can I please get a picture? I’ve been here since 7.” He came right over and only took a picture with me and left. I felt bad but I knew I worked hard. The concert was amazing and I had awesome seats. Two weeks later Justin posted on Instagram and my gift was in the background on his tour bus. I was dying. The Real Housewives of Beverly HIlls brought back “Oy, Faye” to do Kyle’s dirty work. We recap all the bullying and back stabbing in our THG +/- review… We revisit Paul and Adrienne’s tirade at Mauricio’s event and Kyle’s very upset about Brandi throwing out the F-word. Hmm…apparently Paul screaming and calling Brandi a b*tch multiple times is OK though because in Kyle’s opinion he’s just defending his wife. Minus 12 for the double standard. Taylor’s practically hyperventilating. That type of violent behavior from a man towards a woman hits all of her buttons but Kyle’s got little sympathy for the former abuse victim. According to Kyle, “This is not about you, Taylor. Moving on.” Minus 15 . Taylor takes her moment to make a dig about the tendency these women have for exploiting personal issues to the public. She’s still ticked off at Camille for revealing her husband’s abuse on camera. Camille insists this is completely different but minus 20 because how the heck are we suppose to know if no one will let the viewers in on Adrienne’s big secret? Finally Kyle gets around to telling off her sister. Plus 10 . Kim definitely could have picked a more private moment to break the bad news…whatever it may be. Kim insists she was just being a good friend…but she fails to realize she was being a lousy sister. But Kim does bring up a good point. This entire mess started because Kyle pushed Brandi for answers about her rift with Adrienne. Minus 9 . She got her answers. Be careful what you wish for. Yolanda manages to stay out of the fray. She’s off with her personal trainer and now I see how she keeps her model figure. Plus 18. Not to mention that her trainer is 57 and looks 37. Talk about a testament to the power of exercise. Kim takes her son Chad who is turning 21 to Vegas for his birthday. Before going she checks out the AA meetings there. Plus 25. That’s a positive step for being prepared for the inherent challenges of a party town like Las Vegas and shows that Kim’s taking responsibility for her sobriety. She also blew off her sister who didn’t get an invite to the party. I suppose Kim just didn’t need one more stressor and right now that’s what Kyle is for her. Luckily for Kim, she’s out of town when Kyle manages to throw yet another dinner party from Hell. Kyle considers disinviting Brandi but decides that would be rude. Minus 20 because apparently letting one guest bully another isn’t. So once again we get to spend an evening with Faye. Why? The woman is a loud mouth bully. She’s also a good friend of Adrienne so anyone with half a brain can see where this is headed. Brandi admits she would have backed out of the party if Kyle had wanted her to. Plus 10. I’m sure she wishes she had. Instead Kyle encouraged her to come so she could deal with Faye. Brandi tries to side step the issue but Faye’s not about to let it go. Then Faye and Kyle insist that Brandi needs to send Adrienne flowers and an apology. Minus 13 . Seriously, does anyone think a bouquet of flowers is going to fix this? Everyone at the table is completely uncomfortable except for Faye who is in her glory. if Kyle wasn’t the biggest trouble maker of the group she’d tell her guest that this was no longer a topic of discussion and move things along. Minus 22. She’s not about to do that because she loves the drama as much as anyone no matter what she says. When Marisa tries to point out that this is a private matter between Adrienne and Brandi, Faye will have none of it. Not only won’t she let Marisa have a part of the conversation, she continues to harass Brandi until she leaves. Minus 25. With all of their talk about mean girls, Kyle and Faye only need to look in a mirror to find them. Episode total = -73! Season total = -171!

But viewers of Fox5’s Good Day New York discovered this for themselves last week, as the veteran actor was previewing his Showtime drama’s Sunday finale when co-anchor Dave Price had to peace out.
