Lin-Manuel Miranda Honors Orlando Shooting Victims with Sonnet

Leave it to Lin-Manuel Miranda to find a powerful, unique way to honors those killed in the Orlando shooting early Sunday morning. The creator and star of Hamilton, which dominated the 2016 Tony Awards last night, made a powerful statement while accepting the Tony Award for Best Original Score (Music and/or Lyrics) Written for the Theatre category. It was written in sonnet form and it opened by thanking his wife, before Miranda moved on to paying tribute to the 50 victims who were killed inside a gay nightclub . “We chase the melodies that seem to find us until they’re finished songs and start to play,” Miranda said. “When senseless acts of tragedy remind us that nothing here is promised, not one day.” He later added: Love is love is love is love is love is love is love is love cannot be killed or swept aside. “I hadn’t written anything going into today. I hadn’t heard about the day’s events until after our Tony rehearsal,” Miranda said backstage after the ceremony, during which Hamilton won 11 awards including best musical. “I’d always had this time between rehearsal and tonight to think about what I’d say if I was lucky enough to be called up, and it sort of informed all of it… “We live in this world where beautiful and horrible things exist at the same time and often on the same day. … Theater doesn’t exist without the LGBTQ community. It’s the cornerstone of our industry.” Earlier in the Tony Awards, host James Corden also honored the victims of the Orlando shooting. “Hate will never win,” he remarked in pre-taped remarks before the event began. Take a look at Miranda's full sonnet below and join us in honoring those who died in this senseless act of ignorance, hate and cowardice in Orlando.

Adobe Creative Suite 5 Launch Live Broadcast Updates

It’s currently the Adobe Creative Suite 5 Launch and the Live Stream for the Adobe CS5 Launch is avaiable on Adobe’s Official Website. This is our live blogging updates for the Adobe Creative Suite 5 or more simply known as Adobe CS5. So far the highlights of the event with the new suite from Adobe stems from the recent aquisition of Omniture. Adobe is making Omniture the cornerstone of their new Creative Suite 5 Product Family (Adobe Photoshop CS5, Adobe Illustrator CS5, Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, Adobe Dreamweaver CS5, Adobe Flash Professional CS5, Adobe AIR). As most Apple iPhone users and recent iPad have been experiencing, both products are just incompatible with flash. Much of the incompatibility has been publicised with Apple giving much importance of developing applications that are developed with Apple’s tools than Adobe’s ideas of creating flash applications that will in turn be native Apple Applications. Adobe aims to narrow the gap and improve their Creative Suite family line to be more compatible with mobile products with the new Adobe Flash Player 10.2 and Adobe AIR 2. As mentioned by the Wall Street Journal in one of their articles, Adobe took a nosedive in it’s revenues by falling 18% last year. Adobe and CEO Shantu Narayen hopes to increase revenues with the launch of their new Adobe Creative Suite 5 Features and other products that are planned to be launched soon like the Adobe’s release line-up includes the various editions of Creative Suite 5 a, Photoshop CS5, Illustrator CS5, Acrobat 9 Pro, Dreamweaver CS5 and Flash Professional CS5. The major upgrade includes native 64-bit support in Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects for the creation of high resolution projects.
