Miranda Cosgrove is leaving the television world for the real world. The actress spoke to E! News last night at the Young Hollywood Awards and talked about the final season of iCarly , which is currently shooting. “Everybody’s been crying,” Cosgrove said . “But it’s nice because everybody’s moving on to new things. But we’ve all had so much fun doing the show. It’s definitely sad.” And where is Cosgrove off to now? College! “I’m going on a little summer tour and then I’m going to start at USC in August,” she said. “College is awesome. I guess I really don’t know what to expect because I’ve been home schooling a long time. She eventually left when she realized that her life as a celebrity was very different than that of the other students there. “I was in denial,” Watson told Britain’s in 2011 shortly after deciding to leave . “I wanted to pretend I wasn’t as famous as I was. iCarly: iSoundtrack II features original songs from Nickelodeon cast and hits by Katy Perry, Ke$ha. By Jocelyn Vena Miranda Cosgrove Photo: MTV News Miranda Cosgrove is currently in between seasons of her hit Nickelodeon series, “iCarly,” but that doesn’t mean that fans can’t dance their butts off to some of the show’s choice tunes. On Tuesday (January 24), the teen star dropped iCarly: iSoundtrack II , and it’s certainly filled with just enough Carly musical goodness to keep everyone at bay until the next season of the show kicks off. Featuring original tunes from Cosgrove and her “iCarly” castmates, the album also includes hits like Katy Perry ‘s “Hot N Cold” and Ke$ha ‘s “Blow.” For her part, Cosgrove recorded her songs during her 2011 Dancing Crazy Tour , making the experience that much more frenzied in the best way possible. “It was kind of crazy and chaotic, because I’d have a day off and I’d be in Boston or I’d be in New York and I’d go in the studio and work on these songs,” Cosgrove told MTV News. Cosgrove recently dropped the track “Million Dollars” off the record and elaborated a bit about why she wanted to record that song. “It’s kind of about like I was in a relationship and the person meant everything to me and then — I don’t know — it’s that feeling that you have when you break up with someone and you’re kind of questioning everything,” she said. “And you don’t really know what went wrong and you really cared about the person. So I mean I just try to do songs that are different experiences I’ve been through and stuff that I think people that watch my show can relate to.” While she is looking forward to releasing this new batch of music, she certainly isn’t ruling out hitting the studio to work on some of her own tunes. “I really want to. I love music and I love going on tour,” she said. “I think touring is one of my favorite things because I get to meet all the people that watch the show and are into the music. Miranda Cosgrove Drops Second ‘iCarly’ Soundtrack
‘iCarly’ star’s driver was the most seriously injured in the ‘life-threatening’ crash. By Jocelyn Vena Miranda Cosgrove Photo: Michael Buckner/ Getty Images After news broke on Thursday that Miranda Cosgrove had been injured in a tour bus accident, new details are emerging about what is being described as a potentially “life-threatening” accident. The “iCarly” star and her fellow passengers, including her mother, were shaken up by the crash, according to multiple reports. On Friday (August 12), Cosgrove, who had yet to comment publicly on the accident, took to Twitter to let her fans know she’s doing fine and appreciates all of their support.”Thank u so much for all your messages,” the teen star tweeted . “They mean so much to me. Yesterday was extremely scary & I’m just so happy everyone’s gonna be okay.” TMZ reported that it was dark out when Cosgrove’s bus came across a semi-truck, en route to Kansas, the next stop on her Dancing Crazy Tour. The singer/actress’ bus driver decided that instead of trying to swerve out of the way of the truck, he would hit the brakes and face the vehicle head on. He was the most seriously injured of the group, and was airlifted to a local hospital, where he received as many as 45 stitches. He is currently in stable condition, according to sources. Photos from the crash show extensive damage to front of the bus and the semi-truck appeared to have overturned onto the side of the road. “Miranda’s mom was on the bus with her and got really beaten up by the crash,” a source told People. “She’s expected to fully recover, but it’s scary because the driver was hurt, too, and he’s in really bad shape.” The source added that the teen star was “really shaken up” by the crash. “A piece from the tractor-trailer went straight through the windshield and the driver’s arm was sliced all the way through,” according to the magazine’s source. Cosgrove had been sleeping on a couch at the front of the bus when the accident occurred. Those sleeping in the bunks farther back were not injured.
