Four Star General Under Investigation Over Inappropriate Spending Guess those Secret Service agents who got popped with them hoes in Colombia aren’t the only gov’t cats feeling the isht hitting the fan right now. Gen. William “Kip” Ward has been under investigation for about 17 months, and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta is expected to make a final decision on the matter before the end of the month, according to several defense officials. The defense officials said Ward is facing numerous allegations that he spent several hundred thousand dollars allowing unauthorized people, including family members, to fly on government planes, and spent excessive amounts of money on hotel rooms, transportation and other expenses when he traveled as head of Africa Command. A four-star general is the highest rank in the Army. While the exact amount of alleged misspending was not disclosed, the estimated total raises comparisons with the $823,000 allegedly spent by dozens of employees of the General Services Administration, who were accused of lavish spending during an October 2010 conference at a Las Vegas resort. Officials described the investigation to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because it is a personnel matter and the report on the investigation has not been released publicly. The Defense Department inspector general has completed its investigation into Ward’s activities, and the issue is under legal review. Dang, they think this guy spent close to a milli! No wonder the country is in debt… And apparently because of government laws he might not suffer much more than a demotion. SMH! Source
Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine says President Barack Obama somehow “staged” the recent Colorado shooting as part of a conspiracy to ban guns. Seriously. In comments that may put even Ted Nugent to shame, Dave suggested that Obama was behind the massacre perpetrated by James Holmes … and a lot more. At a Tuesday, August 7 performance in Singapore, Mustaine told the crowd, “Back in my country, my president … he’s trying to pass a gun ban.” “So he’s staging all of these murders, like the ‘Fast And Furious’ thing down at the border … Aurora, Colorado, all the people that were killed there … and the beautiful people at the [Wisconsin Sikh temple].” The rocker continued, “I don’t know where I’m gonna live if America keeps going the way it’s going because it looks like it’s turning into Nazi America.” One major hole in Mustaine’s “theory” (besides basic facts): Obama has not made any push for gun control in the wake of these tragedies. In any case, Mustaine is not a big Obama fan. He endorsed Rick Santorum for the GOP nomination this spring, and has been part of the “birther” crusade. In an interview with Alex Jones (below), Dave wondered why no one has tried to impeach Obama, “With all of the proof about his birth certificate being fake.” “And you see the signs in Kenya that say ‘the birthplace of Barack Obama.’ Hello?! C’mon, guys. How stupid are we right now?” A very good question, Dave. One that’s left us speechless.

A new survey shows most numbers are up when it comes to teens and that mary jane , drinking, and more. Looks like that stick-icky is being bought by teenager’s more often than we thought. While Mayor Bloomberg is trying to make the whole city healthy, our kids are going to pot! The percentage of city teens who get high on weed jumped to 17.7 percent last year — by far the highest rate during Hizzoner’s 10-year tenure, according to a new health survey obtained by The Post. The blunt figure is up from the 12.3 percent who smoked weed in 2005. “Every kid my age does it, but it is not a good thing,’’ said Catherine Reyes, 16, of Brooklyn. “They can end up in bad situations.” The boost in marijuana use was just one of the alarming findings in the biannual youth-risk behavior survey put out by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention… The same report also found that nearly a third of underage teens drink booze. In another blow to the health-conscious “Nanny’’ Bloomberg, the statistics show that many city kids are big couch potatoes, too. More than one in four — 28 percent — are overweight or obese, and 21 percent still drink sugary soda, although that’s down from 28 percent in 2005… Part of teens’ problem is 80 percent don’t get the recommended 60 minutes of daily exercise. Nearly six in 10 kids said they don’t have daily gym class in school. In New York, it’s not a requirement in high school. Half of the teens surveyed don’t even ride a bike. Instead, 44 percent play video games or surf the Web for fun on school days, and 38 percent watch more than three hours of TV daily…For many teens, sex seems to be their only physical activity. Nearly 38 percent said they’ve already had sexual intercourse — almost half before age 13. Despite the findings, a Health Department rep insisted, “New York City youth remain in better shape than their peers around the country when it comes to physical education and obesity, as well as rates of alcohol and illicit drug abuse.” Tell us what you think about youngins these days tokin’ at such an early age? Sophia Bush stars on Partners , a CBS sitcom that debuts next month and which focuses on the close bond between two best friends, one of whom is a homosexual. In light of that subject matter and in the wake of the recent hullabaloo over Chick-Fil-A and the comments made by CEO Don Cathy, the former One Tree Hill actress recently went off on the topic of religion, gay marriage and equal rights. And we mean OFF . “Here’s my issue,” Bush tells E! News. “It shocks me how many people come to their defense, first of all. I’m sorry, it’s 2012, if you really think it’s OK to deny anybody their basic human right of loving who they choose to love, you can go f-ck yourself, honestly. And you can print that, because I’m done. I am so over it.” She wasn’t done, either. Take in her passionate stance below and then chime in with your take on gay marriage. “Be a kind person… The reason I take issue with it is, especially in America, we are told that this is the place – give us your tired, give us your hungry, give us your poor – where anybody of any race, of any belief system, can come and have a shot at the American Dream. Have a shot at equality. Oh wait, unless your skin is a certain color, unless you have a certain sexual preference. That’s not what it says on the Statue of Liberty. We are all supposed to be equal here. “When you use God as an excuse to hate people and you use God as an excuse to cut people down, first of all, I think it’s insulting to God. And second of all, you’re missing the point. Because we’re not talking about chicken. We’re talking about the fact that every kid who reads that article, every kid who hears that said, every kid who sees a bunch of people wearing confederate flags and ‘God Hates F-gs’ T-shirts, showing up at Chick-Fil-A and eating chicken nuggets, you’re telling those kids that they don’t matter. And that they’re less important than other kids in this country. “My God loves everybody, and if yours doesn’t, that’s your prerogative, but don’t tell me how to live my life and don’t tell my best friends that you’re going to take away their rights,” Sophia concluded. “Because I will march you into the ground. I will argue you into the ground. I will petition you into the ground. I will not sleep, I will not stop, and neither will so many people in this country and in this world. It’s not right.” WHAT IS YOUR TAKE ON BUSH’S STANCE?

He did it in 2008 in Beijing. Could Usain Bolt pull off the feat again in London? A few days after his masterful performance in the 100 Meters , Usain Bolt took to the track again today and attempted to become the first sprinter in history to earn Gold in both the 100 and 200 in back-to-back Olympics. Read on to learn if he had reason to celebrate… YES! Bolt once again blew the field away, leading a Jamaican sweep of the top three spots by finishing in 19.32 seconds. Yohan Blake and Warren Weir took second and third, respectively. The lightening quick athlete can now equal his performance from four years ago if he leads his country to Gold in the 4X100 relay. Do you dare doubt that he will? Said Bolt after the race, while acknowledging his respect for Michael Johnson: “I’m now a legend. I’m also the greatest athlete to live.”
