The products that she sells are inspired by her grandmother’s recipes that were passed down through different generations in her family for over a century. Stepping into entrepreneurship was no easy feat for Riley. Like many Black founders she struggled with securing funding for her business. The lack of financial support didn’t deter Riley from making Mama Biscuits a success. She continued her passion for cooking and as word spread about how delicious her biscuits were, she built a demand. Her company is the country’s first gourmet biscuit baking company in the DMV area. “I want to give my customers and future customers the gift of eating our Artisan sweet, savory, gluten-free gourmet biscuits. I ship them all over the United States and would love for each household to experience them,” said Riley in a statement. “I never take anything for granted. No matter what opportunities come your way always remain humble. Opportunities aren’t given to everyone.” Riley also uses her company as an avenue for social good. She donates biscuits to local food pantries that serve the homeless and plans on launching a culinary education program for youth. That's why she could be going to jail very, very soon. 1. LOCK HER UP As you may remember, Farrah got arrested last summer after causing quite the scene at a hotel in Beverly Hills. 2. Setting the Scene She and her daughter, Sophia, were staying at the hotel, and while Sophia was sleeping in their room upstairs, Farrah thought it would be a good idea to hang out in the lounge and cause a scene. 3. Makes Sense She got into an argument with other hotel guests — several witnesses said that she seemed very intoxicated — and when a security guard came to handle the situation, she assaulted him. 4. Girl, Stop She hit his face with her forearm, and then she grabbed his head in her hands and shook it, which, you know … you can’t do that. 5. Ugh And then when police responded to arrest her, because of the assault, she threw out some “go f-ck yourselves” and “don’t you know who I am?!” nonsense. And, again, you can’t do that. 6. The singer took to Instagram to express her love for new husband Liam Hemsworth. And there’s a lot of love. In honor of their first Valentine’s Day together, the singer shared several never-before-seen photos to her social media accounts on Thursday from her and Hemsworth’s wedding. Which was an intimate and secret ceremony that was held at Cyrus’ home in Tennessee on December 23, 2018. “My Valentine every single day,” she captioned the first image, which shows Liam with his eyes closed and her with her mouth wide open. Typical. In another, Cyrus thanked her 6 foot 3 husband for “always bending down” to hug her. She then promised to always meet him “in the middle” on her “tippiest toes.” “I love you Valentine!” She wrote. And while we love getting a glimpse at their adorable faces, we want more!! And she provided. Sharing an enchanting photo of their simple wedding cake, which Hemsworth can be seen smiling behind. The next three photos were solo shots of Miley in her striking off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood wedding gown. Two of the photos also showed off her delicate wedding bouquet which consisted of white and pale-colored flowers. But before the singer released the photos from her special day, she shared something else that offered, well a little less taste. The 26-year-old shared an extremely cheeky snapshot to Twitter and her Instagram story from her Bangerz tour , which showed her legs raised in the air as she wore a high-cut bodysuit. Miley attended the film’s event for her beau, even posing for photos on the red carpet alone and with Rebel Wilson. A source told People on Tuesday that although Liam was hospitalized, “he was at home resting and will be fine.” In another Instagram post, Miley left a flirty message for Hemsworth while posing in front of a photo featuring him playing a saxophone. Which is something he does at the end of the rom-com satire. “Getting sick blows. But so do I. Get well soon babe. I love you,” she wrote. “Play that sax you sexy f -.” which followed with heart and kissing emojis. Liam issued a statement on his Instagram account after the premiere, as well, where he apologized for missing the event . Folks, we really didn’t think it was possible, but somehow, Meghan Markle’s awful family got even messier this week. And just when we were convinced the situation couldn’t get any more ridiculous, the Markles went ahead and dragged George Clooney into it. To be fair, Clooney willingly waded into this swamp when he compared Meghan to Princess Diana . But he probably never imagined his stern warning to the British press would lead to such a harsh rebuke from Meghan’s loser father and half-sister. First, Samantha Markle lashed out at Clooney : “Hey Looney Clooney! Your lawyer wife should have taught you not to make statements without full facts,” she tweeted. “I doubt #GeorgeClooney would ghost his mother for no legitimate reason. Be quiet Georgie.” Now, it’s Thomas’ turn, and as you may have guessed, his remarks are just as asinine. Speaking with TMZ, Tom blasted George’s comments as “frustrating” and “irresponsible.” The site reports that Thomas took Clooney’s remarks “as a dig” and encouraged the actor to “do a little research before he talks about Meghan and her father.” It seems the part of Clooney’s comments that really got under Thomas’ skin had to do with a letter the elder Markle received from Meghan, As you may have heard, Thomas sold Meghan’s letter to a tabloid, and the whole world wound up reading the Duchess of Sussex’s private comments. “I can’t tell you how frustrating that is, just seeing them broadcast a letter from a daughter to a father,” Clooney said during a recent press conference to promote his new series, Catch-22 . “She’s getting a raw deal there, and I think it’s irresponsible and I’m surprised by that.” As TMZ points out, it seems that George’s comments are aimed more at the press than at the Markles. Still, Thomas is the one that made the letter public, so it’s not hard to see how he might interpret the comment as shade. Along with his wife, Amal, Clooney attended Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry back in May. Sources say the couples are close, and Amal has helped Meghan acclimate to life in London. We have a significant update in what has become one of the more bizarre stories we’ve seen in awhile. And that update is this: Two men have been arrested in conjunction with Empire actor Jussie Smollett getting savagely beaten in Chicago last month. According to TMZ, a pair of brothers from Nigeria named Olabinjo and Abimbola Osundairo have been taken into custody by the Chicago police department. They have been labeled “potential suspects” in this beating, as opposed to mere “persons of interests,” which is a key distinction. As previously reported on The Hollywood Gossip and via other outlets, the siblings were picked up at O’Hare Airport on Wednesday night and subsequent had their home raided. Police reportedly found shoes, a laptop and other possible pieces of evidence there that may link them to the Smollett investigation. But here’s where it gets interesting and sort of troubling… Smollett had previously told the cops that his attackers were white. He claimed they screamed that he was in “MAGA Country” at the time of the incident, while also screaming racial and anti-gay epithets in his direction. Now… is it possible that two African-Americans could have uttered these words? Sure. Anything is possible. But the brothers had also previously worked as extras on Empire. Their attorney has confirmed to a CBS affiliate in Chicago that they knew Smollett pretty well. Now… is it possible they therefore knew where he lived and knew his whereabouts on the night of the alleged attack? Sure. However, there’s been rather serious talk that Smollett actually staged this assault and both the skin color of these suspects – and their connection to the actor definitely gives us reason to consider this theory. We really don’t wish to speculate too much on such a sensitive and seemingly wild/horrible possibility, but the ABC affiliate in Chicago alleges that he was about to be written off Empire. Presumably, turning himself into a victim of a hate crime that received national attention would have made Smollett into far too much of a sympathetic figure for producers to follow through with this plan. 20th Century Fox Television and Fox Entertainment, however, released a statement in response to the rumor that Smollett was being fired, dismissing the rumor out of hand: The idea that Jussie Smollett has been, or would be, written off EMPIRE is patently ridiculous. He remains a core player on this very successful series and we continue to stand by him. To review, Smollett has claimed two men verbally berated him with racist and homophobic slurs early in the morning of January 29. He says they poured a substance, believed to be bleach all over him; and tied a rope around his neck. Speaking to Good Morning America on Thursday after the beating, Smollett challenged his critics and insisted he’s telling the truth. “I’m pissed off,” he told Robin Roberts early in their chat, citing the criticism he’s received from doubters of the attack. “They called me a f—-t, they called me a n–ga. There’s no which way you cut it,” Smollett said, adding: “I’ve heard that it was a date gone bad, which I also resent that narrative. I’m not gonna go out and get a tuna sandwich and a salad to meet somebody. That’s ridiculous. And it’s offensive.” As for why he waited a short while before calling the police to report what happened? He cited the idea of “pride” and explained: “We live in a society where, as a gay man, you are considered somehow, to be weak, and I’m not weak. I am not weak. We can’t believe we’re writing this, but … … a new development in the Jussie Smollett investigation has caused authorities to wonder whether the Empire actor actually staged his own attack late last month. As previously reported, surveillance footage taken from the vicinity around where the alleged assault took place early on the morning of January 29 depicted two men walking down the sidewalk . Police released photos of these two men and labeled them as “persons of interest” in the investigation. Here is one of the images unveiled to the public by the Chicago PD a couple weeks ago: According to TMZ and other outlets, the two men featured above were picked up by cops at O’Hare Airport on Wednesday night and taken in for questioning. Moreover, per WBBM TV reporter Charlie De Mar, the homes of these individuals were raided yesterday. Now here is where things get legitimately weird and troubling: The suspects are of Nigerian descent and both appeared as extras on Empire. Multiple insiders have told the local ABC affiliate in Chicago that police are investigating whether Smollett worked with these two men to stage the assault because Smollet’s character was being written off Empire. To be clear, no one associated with the police department has commented on this possibility just yet. However, Rob Elgas – a reporter at ABC 7 in Chicago – Tweeted the details of this theory on Thursday evening. He added that Smollett did not appear for a scheduled interview on Thursday. Brad Edwards, a reporter at CBS Chicago, has also cited a source who said that investigators believe the “non-cooperating 2 witnesses are co-conspirators in a potentially staged attack.” Smollett and his team have claimed on numerous occasions that the star was approached by two assailants around 2 a.m. on January 29. They say these assailants hurled racial and anti-gay epithets in Smollet’s direction; that they screamed he was in “MAGA country;” that theu doused him in bleach; and that they tied a rope around his neck. The attack made national headlines, with 2020 Presidential candidates such as Kamala Harris and Cory Booker commenting on the hate crime and President Trump also labeling it as “horrible.” In the days since, however, some people have questioned the validity of Smollett’s story. They’ve wondered why he didn’t call the police right away and why he’s seemed hesitant to turn over his cell phone, and/or non-redacted records for his cell phone, to the authorities. Smollett, who si 36 years old and who has been openly gay since 2015, appeared on Good Morning America on Thursday . He fought off tears at various points while talking to Robin Roberts and addressed those who doubted his story. “You don’t even want to see the truth,” he said of these critics, adding: “It feels like if I had said it was a Muslim, or a Mexican, or someone black, I feel like the doubters would have supported me a lot much more. A lot more. “And that says a lot about the place that we are in our country right now.” Roberts asked Smollett about the time lapse between the attack and his 911 call, to which Smollett said the following… Jussie Smollett Speaks on Horrific Attack “There’s a level of pride there. “We live in a society where, as a gay man, you are considered somehow, to be weak, and I’m not weak. UPDATE : A lawyer for the two suspects has talked to the aforementioned CBS reporter, Edwards. She’s confirmed that the men do know Smollett from their work on Empire, telling the journalist: “They do know Jussie. They have worked with him on Empire. My preliminary investigations show that on set it’s very tight. “They’re all very cordial with each other, so they’re baffled why they are people of interest.” Edwards writes that police took bleach, shoes, electronics, receipts and other items from the home of these men — and he quotes a “TOP SOURCE” who sayss: Indicators point to Smollett orchestrating the event. This is a truly crazy twist. We aren’t about to rush to judgment in either direction, but we will keep readers apprised as more news breaks. UPDATE : 20th Century Fox Television and Fox Entertainment have released a statement in response to the rumor that Smollett was being written off Empire. A n act of kindness displayed by three young Black men from Florida has warmed the hearts of people across the nation. According to Yahoo Lifestyle , a video that captured the men helping an elderly couple into their car has gone viral. A police officer in Florida recently saw three young Black men helping an elderly couple, and decided to film them and share it with the world! As Griest tried to assist his wife with sitting in the passenger’s seat safely, her legs gave out. The group of men— Freddy G , Marty , and Joc Koe Stoe —stepped in to ensure that she was okay. “We didn’t even ask if they needed help — we felt comfortable giving them a hand right away,” Marty told the news outlet. “I kept thinking, ‘She could have been my grandmother.’.” Officer Kenesha Carnegie from the Levy County Sheriff’s Office captured the special moment on camera and posted the video on social media. The video has now garnered millions of views. “I look over and three men were assisting the couple — it was a beautiful thing to see,” said Carnegie. “I know these men from the neighborhood, and I wanted them to have that moment to show who they really are.” The elderly couple—who have been married for two decades—were thankful that the men gave them a helping hand. Their family is also grateful that the men were there to help too. Their grandson Tommy Griest came across the video on Facebook. “I was scrolling through and saw my grandmother’s purple outfit. It’s been over four months since Bill Cosby reported to prison to begin serving a 3-10 year sentence on sexual assault charges. Throughout the lengthy downfall that led to the 81-year-old’s imprisonment, Camille Cosby, Bill’s wife of 55 years, stood by his side. Court reporters were quick to point out, however, that toward the end of Cosby’s trial for the rape of Andrea Constand , the disgraced comic was supported only by his legal team. Insiders now claim that as the evidence mounted, Camille realized that she had been in denial for decades and that Cosby was, in fact, guilty of the horrendous crimes he’d been accused of. Now, Camille is reclaiming her freedom and sending a clear message to her monstrous husband: If you ever get out of that place alive, don’t come looking for me. According to Radar Online, Camille has yet to visit Bill in prison . And sources close to the 74-year-old say she’s soon to deliver a devastating blow by filing for divorce from Bill. “Camille is actively getting advice from several of the top divorce lawyers in the country,” an insider tells Radar Online. “It’s only a matter of time before she files the papers.” The source says Bill was initially in denial about being rejected by Camille.
