A man in northern China filed a lawsuit against his estranged wife this month after he deemed their newborn to be “incredibly ugly” and blamed the child’s appearance on his mother’s unattractive genes. And the guy actually won $120,000 as a result. Chinese Man Sues Wife Over Ugly Baby Jian Feng said in court documents that he married his wife “out of love,” but that the couple began having “marital issues” soon after the birth of their daughter. She was ” incredibly ugly ,” Feng said. “To the point where it horrified me.” Feng initially accused his wife of having an affair, only for the truth to eventually come out: She had spent in excess of $100,000 on plastic surgery, duping Feng into believing he had married a natural beauty. Appalled by this instance of false advertising and angry that he did not learn of it until after the couple had procreated, Feng took his wife to court and was awarded $120,000 in a settlement. Equally incredible? The outpouring of support – FOR FENG! – among social media users in China. “When you are in a true relationship, you tell your spouse everything. Past present and future – if not, then you don’t respect them,” one male wrote on Facebook.
Alanis Morissette is being sued by a former nanny who alleges that the singer never paid her overtime or allowed her to take breaks during 12-hour shifts. Morissette, 39, and husband Mario “Souleye” Treadway have been sued by ex-employee Bianca Cambeiro, who filed the claims in court papers Thursday. Cambeiro cared for the couple’s son Ever, who turns three on Christmas of this year, 3-4 days a week. And boy, those 3-4 days a week were rough! Bianca says in court documents that she began working for Alanis Morissette in August 2011 at their Brentwood, Calif., home for the rate of $25 an hour. Sounds like a great gig, right? Not so much, Bianca says. Asked why she wasn’t being paid overtime, Alanis’ accountant allegedly said , “We don’t do that.” And her complaints don’t stop there by any means. Cambeiro claims she was prohibited from leaving the baby’s room while it was sleeping unless one of the parents or until the day shift nanny relieved her. According to the documents, the ex-nanny seeks no less than $100,000 for a list of reasons, including emotional distress, attorney fees and lost wages. As a non-exempt employee who worked over 10 hours a day, she claims she was legally entitled to a minimum of two 30-minute meal breaks each shift. Morissette’s camp has yet to respond to the lawsuit.
That must have been painful. Man Brands His Girlfriend’s Genitals The low morals a person must have to brand a human being is disturbing. According to Mail Online An Arizona landscaper has been arrested for branding his girlfriend’s genitals with his initials. Christopher Lynn Jackson, 49, of Chandler, is accused of drugging the unidentified woman at a baseball game, who later awoke in pain to find him with branding equipment and a butane torch. She then found the letters ‘C’ and ‘J’ branded onto her ‘v*gin*l area’, Gawker.com reported. Jackson, the owner of a landscaping business called Lawn Tamers, apparently bragged to his now ex-girlfriend about having done the same thing to other former girlfriends, according to court documents obtained by New Times. He told the woman ‘her vagina was his’, after the incident in May. The incident was only reported last week when the woman finally built up the confidence to come forward. She claims the former couple were at a baseball game when Jackson asked her to go out dancing afterwards. The victim told Jackson she was too tired, so her offered her ‘energy pills’, which actually made her pass out. She awoke to find the assault taking place. You cannot possibly be serious… Phoenix Man Kills Wife And Son Because He Thought He Gave Them AIDS Via PhoenixNewTimes Eugene Maraventano, a 64-year-old Goodyear resident, told police this weekend that he stabbed his wife and son to death and failed to kill himself after multiple tries over the course of the next four days. “I killed my wife and I killed my son; I can’t kill myself,” Maraventano told a 911 dispatcher, according to court documents obtained by New Times. Maraventano told the dispatcher that he stabbed them both to death and added that his wife had cancer, according to the documents. Police arrived at the house and found Maraventano covered with blood and with wounds to his chest. He was taken to a hospital, and police found the bodies of his wife and son in different rooms of the house. Maraventano was interviewed at the hospital, where he started by saying he used to live in New York, where he “frequented with prostitutes.” He thought he may have contracted HIV or another disease and passed it on to his wife, Janet. Janet started to get sick recently, so Maraventano thought his wife might have had cancer or possibly something he gave her. Since tests showed she didn’t have cancer, that only left one option, in Maraventano’s mind — though it’s not clear why he told the dispatcher that his wife had cancer. Of course that is the only logical answer…SMH Maraventano said he made the decision to kill his wife about two weeks ago. He’d debated using a knife or buying a gun. He settled on the knife, even though, he said, he’s “not a violent person,” according to court documents. Four days earlier, while his wife was sleeping, he finally acted, stabbing her twice, he said. Maraventano also decided to kill his son, Bryan, because he “plays video games all day, has no girlfriend, and must be handicap[ped] because he can’t get a job.” Maraventano went down the hallway and knocked on Bryan’s door. Lil Wayne was hospitalized again earlier this week after suffering multiple seizures, according to reports, having gone through a similarly scary episode last fall. Sources close to the rapper say he suffered seizures Tuesday night after shooting a music video in L.A. and was subsequently taken to Cedars-Sinai hospital. He was released hours later, early Wednesday. Weezy’s doing better now , according to TMZ. Lil Wayne has acknowledged he’d been prescribed seizure medication by his doctor; there’s no clear report on what triggered his collapse this time around. We’re glad he’s okay.

A deposition surfaced this week in the Kim Kardashian divorce case that appears at first glance to be bad news for her … but may actually hurt Kris Humphries more. In court documents, a producer of Kim’s reality show admits that he re-shot her reaction to Kris’ marriage proposal, her discussing their split and other scenes. Kris, who has been angling for an annulment on grounds of fraud (rather than simply divorcing Kim) since 2011, reportedly feels “vindicated” by this confession. A strange sentiment, since it may actually derail his case. First, the producer says Kim was “completely surprised” and “didn’t give a good reaction” to Kris’ proposal, so she asked that it be re-shot for the show. Shocking, we know. Keeping Up is scripted and staged. Their marriage was a sham in the sense of values, for sure. Everything she does is micro-managed. But in terms of an actual conspiracy against Kris? From a legal standpoint, all this does is HURT Kris’ big argument, as he is alleging that she fraudulently induced him to marry her for her own gain. Kris Humphries Proposal Prep That was a pretty big stretch anyway, but this deposition confirms that Kris proposed and she was – gasp – surprised! As in she didn’t see it coming! Hard to argue that someone defrauded you if you propose and they say yes, even if they re-shoot it for TV. Kris also knew, obviously, that they re-shot it. As far as re-shooting and/or misleading edits of scenes after the couple split up … they had split up by then and he agreed to be on a show that has editors. She may be putting on a Poker Face at the moment, but Lady Gaga must be in a foul mood today after MGA Entertainment slapped the singer with a $10 million lawsuit because the manufacturer alleges she and her management company backed out of a deal between the two sides. MGA claims Gaga acted in “bad faith” after initially agreeing to include a voice chip with the doll and have it ready for sale by Christmas. Now, the company believes, Gaga is attempting to delay the item’s release to coincide with her new album in 2013. In its Manhattan Supreme Court suit, MGA asserts that Gaga and her team “engaged in intentional and deliberate delays” to prevent it from meeting its summer deadline with distributors. Lady Gaga has not seen the court documents, her spokesperson tells The New York Daily News , but is “confident she will prevail.”
The L.A. County D.A. is far from pleased that Dr. Conrad Murray wants judge to spring him from jail while he appeals his conviction for involuntary manslaughter. Prosecutors assert that Murray, who was convicted and sentenced to four years in prison for his role in in the death of Michael Jackson, is a danger to society. According to court documents, the D.A.’s office says Murray’s shown zero remorse for “reckless and criminal conduct that directly caused Michael Jackson’s death.” In other words, the D.A. says Murray just doesn’t get it, a key point of their argument, as they say he could engage in the same conduct again if he’s set free. The D.A. also claims Murray is a flight risk who is terrified of jail and who no longer has strong ties to California now that his medical license has been revoked. As for Murray’s grounds for appealing the conviction, the D.A. claims they bogus – the judge’s decision to exclude Dr. Arnold Klein’s testimony in particular. Klein gave MJ Demerol shots in the months preceding his death, but the D.A. says no traces of the drug were found in MJ’s body at the time of his death. Thus, there’s no evidence to suggest Murray’s conviction was unfounded, at least in the eyes of the people who put him away … and probably everyone else.
