Kim Davis Thrown In Jail For Refusing To Issue Gay Marriage Licenses A county clerk in Kentucky who has repeatedly defied court orders by refusing to issue gay marriage licenses will appear before a federal judge who could hold her in contempt of court. Vis LEX 18: Rowan County clerk Kim Davis has been summoned to the hearing at 11 a.m. Thursday before U.S. District Judge David Bunning. He’s also ordered all of Davis’ deputy clerks to appear. Bunning could hold Davis in contempt, which can carry hefty fines or jail time. Davis stopped issuing licenses to all couples in June after the U.S. Supreme Court legalized gay marriage. Despite rulings against her, she’s turned away couples again and again, citing her Christian beliefs and “God’s authority.” The couples who originally sued in the case have asked Bunning to punish Davis with fines but not jail time. A federal judge has ordered a defiant Kentucky clerk to jail after she refused to issue marriage licenses to gay couples. U.S. District Judge David Bunning told Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis she would be jailed until she complied with his order to issue the licenses. Davis said “thank you” before she was led out of the courtroom by a U.S. marshal. She was not in handcuffs. Davis has refused to issue marriages licenses for two months since the Supreme Court legalized same sex marriage. The Kentucky clerk claims that her Christian faith should exempt her from signing the licenses. A federal judge is warning deputy clerks in Kentucky that they must issue marriage licenses to gay couples or face fines or jail. U.S. District Judge David Bunning already jailed Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis for refusing to comply with his order. She was led out of the courtroom by U.S. marshals on Thursday. The judge gave the deputy clerks time to go meet with public defenders and said the hearing will resume at 1:45 p.m. Do you think Kim Davis should be jailed for her beliefs??

Uncomfortable Jurors Sent Home Early After Watching Full Freaky Flick In 50 Cent Trial

Jury Adjourned After Watching Sex Tape In 50 Cent Trial 50 Cent is currently standing trial for his “Pimpin’ Curly” leak of Rick Ross’ former girlfriend’s sex tape a few years back. To gauge the evidence, jurors had to sit through the entire sex tape — completely unedited — during session today. Apparently they were supposed to be paying attention to 50’s crude insults throughout the tape’s narration…however some people were so off put by the afternoon porn session that the judge sent everyone home early. Via PageSix : A raunchy sex video played Friday in a Manhattan trial involving the rapper 50 Cent was so graphic that the judge gave jurors an early start to the weekend after they squirmed in their seats throughout the 13-minute screening. The amateur porn features the ex-girlfriend of 50 Cent’s rival, rapper Rick Ross. Lastonia Leviston is suing Fitty, as he is also known, for putting it online with commentary trashing her. Fitty, who narrates the tawdry flick as his alter ego “Pimpin’ Curly,” taunts Ross saying, “Your daughter come out of that …” and calling her a series of derogatory names. Leviston gave birth to Ross’ baby. The video was made with a subsequent boyfriend. Most jurors were visibly uncomfortable by the sex video — with one tightly crossing her arms and turning her body to the side. As the screening ended, just before 1 p.m., Judge Paul Wooten turned up the lights in the courtroom and said to the jury, “Good news. It’s Friday. It’s sunny and you get an early day.” SMH. That can’t be good for his case.

Sterling “Steelo” Brim Accused Of Sexual Assault Steelo Brim, best known for re-mixing blooper reels and making off-color comments on Rob Dyrdek’s “Ridiculousness” stage, has been accused of sexual assault. Adult film star Mary Jean went to authorities to report that she was groped and punched in a vehicle where Steelo was the passenger…however Steelo insists that the only victim here is him. Via TMZ : MTV’s “Ridiculousness” star Sterling “Steelo” Brim is accused of sexually assaulting a porn star in NYC, but claims it’s BS, and she threatened to concoct a phony rape story … TMZ has learned. Law enforcement sources tell us Steelo and porn star Mary Jean were hanging out Friday night, but she claims things went south fast. Mary says she told cops … while she was driving Steelo wanted sex, and when she refused he grabbed her crotch, punched her breasts, and said “this belongs to me.” Here’s where the story gets really strange. Steelo says Mary refused to let him out of the car, and threatened to tell people he had raped her … if he got out. Steelo says he weighed his options and decided to leap from the moving car. He says he tucked and rolled on the street … injuring his arm and his Rolex. Steelo denies assaulting Mary … who went straight to police after he escaped, and reported the alleged sexual assault. Mary denies blocking Steelo from getting out of the car, and says he could have fled at a stop light. She says she was trying to take him to police. Police are investigating Mary Jean’s claims. Steelo tells us he hasn’t spoken to cops yet, and no charges have been filed. Pretty bizarre story, right? Suge Knight Rushed Out Of Court In An Ambulance…Again

Suge Knight Taken Out Of Court By Ambulance Poor Suge just keeps collapsing and having medical issues left and right. The former mogul had to be carted away by a medical team from an LA courtroom once again on Thursday for undisclosed ailments. Oddly enough, this court appearance had nothing to do with the hit-and-run death case he’s also facing, bur rather the September incident in which he and Katt Williams were accused of stealing a fan’s phone. Via PageSix : Former rap mogul Marion “Suge” Knight was taken from a Los Angeles courthouse for an undisclosed medical issue. Knight was scheduled to appear in court Thursday for arraignment on a criminal threats charge and for a scheduling hearing in a robbery case, but he never appeared in the courtroom. Los Angeles Superior Court spokeswoman Mary Hearn says Knight was taken away by ambulance but there was no information on why. The Sheriff’s Department did not have any immediate information on Knight’s condition. Knight was charged with robbery after a photographer reported that Knight and comedian Katt Williams stole her camera in September. Knight has pleaded not guilty to robbery and prosecutors recently added a criminal threats charge. Do you think Suge is just stressed out…or playing up his “ailments” to get a little sympathy from the justice system?

The Grey’s Anatomy Season 11 star and husband Chris Ivery have welcomed a baby girl via surrogate, with Pompeo herself confirming the exciting news via an adorable photo of Ivery and their newborn daughter. “Sienna May Ivery welcome to the world. We love you more than words can say,” Pompeo wrote as a caption to the image. Pompeo and Ivery have a five-year-old daughter named Stella Luna, with Pompeo added on her WhoSay account: “Sienna was born via surrogate & I would like to thank my whole @ShondalandTV family for helping us enjoy these first few weeks privately.” We send our very best wishes to Ellen and Chris, along with Stella and Sienna. Bad Judge Season 1 Episode 1: What’s the Verdict?

Kate Walsh made her full-time return to television tonight on Bad Judge Season 1 Episode 1 . The former Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice star appears here as Rebecca Wright, an officer of the law who knows how to have a good time away from her chambers, but who punishes residents of Los Angeles inside the courtroom. Despite her wild child ways, she’s known for being tough and well-respected. But Wright also possesses a reputation for unorthodox behavior, which includes creative rulings and saying everything that’s on her mind at all times. This is where Bad Judge mines most of its premiere humor, but nothing Wright says is really all that provocative. It’s also unclear how she even rose to this position of power when her personal life is such a mess. We’re not judging (pun… intended!) the number of male suitors who come calling on Wright here. Nor do we care that she doesn’t want to settle down with them. But it’s a tad difficult to believe that Rebecca can be so naughty away from the courtroom and still have worked hard enough to wear the robe in the first place. Norwich Mom Danielle Gendron Thrown Out of Court for Breastfeeding Infant Son

Hot on the heels of Gisele Bundchen’s breastfeeding photos , a Norwich, CT mother has come forward to share her tale of being thrown out of a courtroom there when she began to breastfeed her 3 month old son. Danielle Gendron was in court to testify but was waved out by a marshal when her son, Maddox, needed to eat. Norwich Mom Thrown Out of Courtroom for Breastfeeding “I went to feed him and the marshal just, you know, she immediately just waved me out,” Gendron says. “That’s never happened to me so I wasn’t sure she was speaking to me at first so I kind of looked around and she was like ‘you get out.'” Because of her removal from the courtroom, Gendron didn’t get the chance to take the stand. The state of Connecticut is one of 45 states and the District of Columbia which have laws protecting the rights of mothers to breastfeed in any public or private location.  Sadly, Gendron’s story is not an anomaly. Earlier this year, Laura Trickle was nearly held in contempt of court for being unable to attend jury duty and care for her infant child at the same time. A judge gave her the order to feed her child by bottle or find a babysitter. Jessica Moser was told to give her baby formula so that the child could spend the night with her father. Gendron, it seems, is just the latest in a line of mothers to be shamed for breastfeeding.

Whitey Bulger Verdict: GUILTY Of Federal Racketeering, Murder

The verdict is in for James “Whitey” Bulger, and the infamous Boston mobster was found guilty of federal racketeering and some murders, as expected. The man who eluded FBI investigators for 16 years after building a reputation as one of the city’s most ruthless mobsters was convicted of 11 killings. Whitey Bulger Guilty Whitey Bulger, 83, was charged with participating in 19 murders as well as 13 counts of extortion and money laundering, among various other crimes. The jury concluded he was directly involved in 11 of 19 murders, and also found him guilty on weapons charges, money laundering, and conspiracy. He faces life behind bars. As he left the courtroom, he reportedly gave the thumbs up to his brother Jack, while someone yelled, “Rat a tat tat, Whitey.” Jurors took more than four days and 33 hours of deliberations to convict Bulger, in what amounted to a sensational, headline-making 40-day trial. Specifically, they said his connection to one of the many murders – the shooting death of Roger Wheeler – was proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Convicted hit man John Martorano testified in the trial that he shot Wheeler in the head after the executive finished a round of golf at a Tulsa country club. The killing was sanctioned by Bulger, head of the Winter Hill Gang. Though jurors said Bulger’s involvement in the the murder of Michael Donahue in 1982 was also proven, the victim’s son Tom Donahue was shocked. “I’m not satisfied with the verdict – he should have been guilty for all those murders,” he said. “He should have been found guilty of everything.” He added of the mobster, “He doesn’t care about anybody he killed, he doesn’t care about anybody he extorted, he’s just a sick psycho individual.” In closing arguments during the trial, prosecutors called Bulger a “vicious, violent and calculating” criminal who methodically hunted his victims. Bulger had long been one of the FBI’s most wanted criminals when authorities astonishingly captured him at his Santa Monica, Calif., hideout in 2011. His former henchmen testified against him, including Kevin Weeks . The two gangsters shared volleys of profanity and shouting in the courtroom, as Bulger lashed out at Weeks for saying he was worse than a murderer. In any case, Bulger will never again see the light of day.
