Isht just keeps getting messier between these two . Angela Stanton Sues Phaedra Parks For Defamation Angela swears she’s telling the truth. Come on you knew Phaedra was off when she took that big wad of cash outside the courtroom. According to Rhymes With Snitch Everybody knows Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Phaedra Parks is suing Angela Stanton and Vibe Magazine for defamation over Angela’s memoir, ‘Lies of Real Housewife. Now Angela turns the tables on Phaedra by filing a defamation lawsuit of her own… Angela’s lawyer, James Radford, explains the new filing, “We have filed our own claims for defamation, tortious interference with business relationships, punitive damages, and attorneys’ fees.” “Phaedra Parks’ lawsuit and the tactics employed against Ms. Stanton and her publisher have undermined Stanton’s ability to market the intellectual property that is her compelling personal narrative.” Hopefully these ladies can settle their differences on “RHOA” or “Fix My Life.” We love us some angry bird beef.

Eff This Ain’t Isht Thug: Jury Sentences Shaniya Davis’ Killer Mario McNeill To Death

May this sick muhfugga rot in hell. We have been waiting for justice for Shaniya Davis for nearly four years and finally her killer has been sentenced. Via Fayetteville Observer reports : Jurors on Wednesday took 39 minutes to recommend that Mario McNeill be sentenced to death for killing 5-year-old Shaniya Davis in November 2009. A few “Amens” could be heard from the side of the courtroom where members of Shaniya’s family were seated. Senior Resident Superior Court Judge Jim Ammons didn’t waste time after sentencing the defendant. May God have mercy on your soul, he told him. “Stand up, Mr. McNeill. You did not have to kill that child,” Ammons said. “Take him out of here now.” McNeill, 33, was cuffed and hastily led from the courtroom by the bailiffs and extra security detail. The verdict didn’t seem to faze McNeill, who appeared to mumble something to Ammons on the way out. He may have said, “I didn’t do it,” according to four observers in the courtroom. Earlier, McNeill had declined the judge’s opportunity to speak to Shaniya’s family, his feet swinging beneath the defendant’s table as he told the judge, “No.” Ammons then spoke to Shaniya’s family, including her 43-year-old father, Bradley Lockhart, and her half-sister, Cheyenne Lockhart. “I apologize,” the judge said, as emotion began to flush his face. “I apologize for referring to Shaniya as the victim. For talking about Shaniya’s body. I apologize for your having to go through all of this. I can’t give you justice. The jury has given you what we as humans – the best, we as humans do is give you justice. “I said a prayer for you every night of this trial, and I will continue to do so.” Only one juror – alternate Melanie Baker, 42 – agreed to talk to reporters. “This has been hard,” she said.”Throughout the proceedings,” she said, “we felt this was a game for him. Refusing to put on evidence and deciding not to testify. … There was no emotion on his face. All his laughing, giggling. There was no contrition or remorse.” Bradley and Cheyenne Lockhart came forward when Ammons asked if anyone in the courtroom wanted to speak about Shaniya. Cheyenne Lockhart thanked all of the family’s supporters. It had been a long road, Bradley Lockhart said, and the verdict failed to produce a victory for anyone. Then he directed his words at the defendant: “I think about those last seconds, and you was the last thing my daughter got to look at. Made a mockery of this court. Laughing, joking like this was a joke. Shaniya wasn’t a joke. Shaniya (affected) so many people. Not just my life, but so many people out there. And you tried to destroy it. “But her legacy is going to live on. You didn’t win. I can be angry and hateful towards you. It’s not going to affect this problem. Shaniya won because she’s going to be speaking out and protecting against people like you.” After a pause, he added again, “You didn’t win.” Against the advice of his lawyers, McNeill asked that his lawyers not put on evidence, not present the mitigating factors to the jury and not give closing arguments during the sentencing phase of the trial. Aggravating factors during the punishment phase included McNeill’s three previous felony assault convictions and his convictions in this case on kidnapping and sex offense charges. Mitigating factors, which McNeill had allowed his lawyers to compile but not present, included his use of drugs and alcohol at the time of Shaniya’s kidnapping and death, the fact that he voluntarily went to the police to be interviewed after Shaniya was reported missing, and that he was a taxpayer. On Tuesday, McNeill told Ammons that it didn’t matter to him – his lawyers arguing his case for life over death – since he had lost his goal of freedom. “I wish we’d had a chance to talk to the jury about sentencing,” a soft-voiced Terry Alford said from a nearly cleared courtroom. “I don’t know if it would have made a difference, but they would have heard the whole story. I’m just disappointed we didn’t get a chance to do that.” Harold “Butch” Pope, McNeill’s other lawyer, said it was important to note that the defense had “a mitigating investigator and pews full of witnesses to put on for him” during the final phase of the trial. The defense has given notice that it intends to appeal the conviction and punishment. In his closing argument, Cumberland County District Attorney Billy West urged jurors to sentence McNeill to death: “No regard for Shaniya’s innocence,” he began. “No regard for Shaniya’s life. And absolutely no remorse.” “That is what this defendant has done and how he conducted himself,” West said. “He showed no regard for her innocence. He kidnapped her from her home in the middle of the night of Nov. 10, 2009, and sexually assaulted a 5-year-old of the innocence of a child. He showed no regard for her life and left her alone on desolate Walker Road in Lee County. And he showed absolutely no remorse. A lack of conscience.” West said the seven mitigating factors were insufficient to outweigh the prosecution’s five aggravating circumstances in determining their sentencing decision. “The defendant,” he said, “could have dropped Shaniya off at a McDonald’s.” Instead, West said, he killed her. Last week, the jury found McNeill guilty of first-degree murder and five other charges in Shaniya’s death. Jurors returned a not guilty verdict on a charge of child rape. McNeill also was found guilty of first-degree kidnapping, human trafficking with a child victim, sexual servitude with a child victim, sexual offense of a child and indecent liberties with a child. Two other charges of sexual exploitation, which McNeill has said are related to images found on his cellphone, are pending. Those are separate charges from the seven he was tried on during the trial. Authorities said Shaniya’s mother handed over her child to McNeill to settle a drug debt and then falsely reported her missing from their residence in the Sleepy Hollow Mobile Home Park. The state said McNeill took Shaniya to the Comfort Suites in Sanford before assaulting her, killing her and dumping her body in a rural area of Lee County. Davis, 28, faces similar charges to McNeill and is awaiting trial. West said Davis’ trial could get under way by the fall. He anticipates a conference with Judge Ammons within the next month or so to discuss the trial schedule. Davis does not face the death penalty. Shaniya, you will never be forgotten. R.I.P. They need to televise McNeill’s execution. Hats off to the jury for doing what needed to be done.

Lindsay Lohan: Glitter Bombed Outside Court!

Lindsay Lohan received a warm welcome outside court today in the form of a glitter bomb. Police did not arrest the woman suspected in the shiny attack. The gold glitter was thrown at the 26-year-old as she made her way through the media swarm Monday … nearly 50 minutes late for her lying-to-cops trial. Ke$ha would be proud. Or appalled. We’re not sure. Lindsay Lohan Glitter Bombed Sheriff’s officials said that the glitter bomb might not rise to the level of a criminal offense; glitter has been thrown, harmlessly, at celebrities many times before. Also Monday, a man was removed from the courtroom for snapping a photo of the star. Never a dull moment with the recurring fiasco that is LiLo’s life. A Lindsay Lohan rehab deal was struck in lieu of jail time; she’ll spend three months there and do 30 days of community labor, plus 18 months of therapy. What do you think? Fair deal?   Fair enough. It’s on her to sink or swim. Not harsh enough! Lock her up! View Poll »

Love The Way You Lie: RihRih Stands By Her Man Breezy In Court

Is she a ride-or-die chick, or a sucker for love? Rihanna showed her support for Chris Brown yet again, as the singer faces concerns from the L.A. district attorney that he may have falsified his community service records. Via Page Six reports : Rihanna is standing by the man who savagely beat her. The pretty songstress strolled into a Los Angeles courthouse today with boyfriend Chris Brown, who is accused of falsifying records of his community labor. Rihanna arrived at the downtown courthouse by Brown’s side, and then blew him a kiss before he entered the courtroom first. She sat by Brown’s mom, Joyce Hawkins, in the courtroom gallery during this afternoon’s brief hearing. A judge didn’t immediately rule on prosecution claims that Brown faked his court-ordered community labor. Brown and Rihanna left the courthouse together, surrounded by their entourage. The rage-filled singer, who became infamous after beating up Rihanna in 2009, was sentenced to 180 days — or 1,440 hours — after pleading guilty to felony assault. He did 581 hours in Los Angeles, but was then allowed to do the rest of his time in his native Virginia. Brown claimed to have finished his sentence back home, but LA prosecutors said there’s no proof he did the work. “There’s no credible, competent or verifiable evidence that . . . Brown performed his community labor as represented to the court,” according to LA Deputy DA Mary Murray. The DA wants all of Brown’s Virginia hours thrown out and for him to be sent back to work in LA. On several days Brown allegedly worked in Virginia, he was out of of the state, prosecutors said. Judge James Brandlin said he wanted more time to review the DA’s claims. He ordered Brown to meet with a LA County probation officer within the next 48 hours and detail the work the singer claims to have done in Virginia. Sounds like RihRih put on quite a show. We hope that Breezy appreciates her sticking by him — but something about this couple’s strange dynamic has us wondering if there is still some manipulation going on behind the scenes. Do you think Rihanna could be showing so much support because she feels responsible for Chris getting in trouble in the first place? Hmmmmm… We want to hear your thoughts. Hit the flip for more photos of the couple from the courtroom and leaving Breezy’s crib. INFPHotos

Chris Brown in Court: WITH RIHANNA!

Chris Brown was dragged into court in L.A. today to answer to accusations from the D.A.’s office that he submitted bogus community service records . Trying to dupe authorities in such fashion – which he denies – could mean a violation of Chris’ probation, which he’s still on for his 2009 assault on Rihanna. What did Brown, his attorney and a judge have to say about it? Chris Brown in Court Not a lot. The judge wants to hear more evidence and scheduled the next hearing for April 5. But most notably, Chris showed up for court WITH RIHANNA! Chris Brown’s girlfriend sat quietly in the gallery with his mom as Brown and his lawyer Mark Geragos told the judge the singer did nothing wrong. The judge said he needed more time to review all of the evidence presented by the D.A., alleging that Brown’s service record was false or incomplete. Brown was also ordered to meet with his probation officer within 48 hours to discuss the situation, and to return for court for a new hearing April 5. That’s it. Chris Brown and Rihanna left the courtroom arm-in-arm; she smiled at the R&B singer and tried to cheer him up as they left the building. Brown, who unleashed an Instagram rant about the situation the night before, was all smiles as he was driven away from court, so we guess it worked. You gotta stand by your man, right?

Justice For Trayvon? George Zimmerman Losses Bid To Delay Murder Trial On Slain Teen’s 18th Birthday

The trial has been set for George Zimmerman who has been charged for murdering Florida teenager Trayvon Martin. And just like the mark @ss buster he is, of course Zimmerman tried to delay the trial, fortunately the judge was not trying to hear it…. According to ABC News: On what would have been Trayvon Martin’s 18th birthday, lawyers for his accused killer George Zimmerman were denied a request to delay this summer’s murder trial. Zimmerman’s attorney Mark O’Mara claimed during an often heated one-hour hearing that he needed more time to prepare, and that the state was not being cooperative with key evidence. “Its February and the trial’s set for June,” countered prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda. He argued that O’Mara did not deserve more time to prepare and that many of the delays were his own fault. The state has argued that the Zimmerman legal team is moving slowly because of a dwindling defense fund. Zimmerman’s attorneys have acknowledged that the fund is just about empty. “The spirit of Trayvon Martin was definitely in the courtroom today on what would have been his 18th birthday. The judge ruled that the trial would not be delayed,” Martin family attorney Benjamin Crump said today. Martin, 17, was shot and killed while walking home unarmed on Feb. 26, 2012, from a deli near his father’s fiancee’s house. Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch captain, has claimed the unarmed teen was acting suspicious and that he shot the teenager during a fight when the boy tried to get Zimmerman’s gun. We hope this shady b@stard gets life in prison. R.I.P. Trayvon Martin.

Brien Taylor Sentenced to 38 Months in Prison

Former New York Yankees pitching prospect Brien Taylor was sentenced to 38 months in prison today after pleading guilty to distributing crack cocaine. Taylor, 40, told U.S. District Court Judge Louise W. Flanagan during his sentencing that he was sorry for causing so much pain to his family and his five daughters. ”I made poor decisions,” he said. His mother, Betty Taylor, and sisters and friends were in the courtroom for the hearing. They, along with Halerie Mahan, Taylor’s attorney, declined to comment. Flanagan said Taylor had been forthright and warned him to be mindful of his conduct as well as whom he associates with when he is released from prison. He’ll face three years of supervised release after his prison term. No financial penalty. ”There will be no fine, since you have children to support,” Flanagan said. Taylor, the No. 1 overall pick in the 1991 draft, could’ve received between 5-40 years in prison. He had been in custody since his March arrest for selling crack and powder cocaine to undercover agents with the Carteret County Sheriff’s Office over several months. In all, Taylor had distributed more than 200 grams of crack cocaine and about 100 grams of powder cocaine, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office. A federal grand jury indicted Taylor in June.

Tom Cruise Divorce Negotiations: Suri the Key Factor

Suri Cruise likely holds the key to divorce settlement talks between Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, even if the six-year-old has no idea of this fact. Lawyers for both sides are trying to work out a settlement that would avoid a costly, ugly, protracted and public court dispute between them. Custody of young Suri could make or break that deal, as Tom insists any deal offers him “meaningful, significant contact with his daughter.” One source put it, “She is the primary concern in his life.” Katie filed for sole custody in June , reportedly prompted by fears that Tom’s Scientology beliefs would become a central component of her life. Tom’s people have disputed this, albeit without really elaborating. Regardless, Holmes’ camp reportedly has assured Tom he will be able to spend time with his daughter when he finishes his new movie shoot. Lawyers for both sides met for a full business day on Saturday, working on not just a temporary stopgap but a settlement for the divorce. Attorneys are negotiating custody, visitation, support and property settlement, and while the tone has been “calm,” things are still in flux. In other words, a deal could get done, or talks could break down at any time. But for the moment, no one is rushing to the courtroom. [Photo: Fame/Flynet]
