Incarcerated Scarfaces: Locked Up Goon Brags About His Lavish Life Behind Bars On Facebook [Video]

Come on! Murder suspect Brooklyn Traylor’s Facebook timeline boasts photos of him and at least one other inmate while they’re locked up in the Alcorn County Jail. “It’s one thing to have to hear from the DA that it’s going to be 2 or 3 years if it goes to trial, but it’s another thing when you see that her killer is actively on Facebook,” said Aaron Crum, the victim’s brother. Traylor was charged with killing Crum’s sister, Kris Ann Ledlow. Investigators said Taylor shot her in February during an attempted robbery at the convenience store where she worked. Locked up behind bars, Traylor brags on Facebook he’s making more money in jail than on the streets. “The impression I got from the post and the pictures is that he’s just living it up and having a good time,” said Crum. Crum was upset Traylor could even access Facebook and a cell phone. He said the family’s complaints to the DA and the jail have gone unanswered. WREG sat down with Alcorn County Sheriff Ben Caldwell to find out how this is happening. He denied his inmates are having one big party in jail. “I can assure you we don’t allow them to have parties in our jail, and again I understand the families concern. It’s my concern as well,” said Caldwell. The sheriff said there’s no way to prove Traylor is posting from jail. He said inmates sometimes give passwords to friends on the outside to post on their behalf, but he told WREG Traylor did have access to a cell phone at one point. Sheriff Caldwell said, “When that took place, he was placed in segregation. His visitation was taken away from him and some of his other privileges such as commissary access to television.” WREG exposed a history of problems at the Alcorn County correctional facilities three years ago. Last year the state of Mississippi removed bus loads of prisoners housed there because some inmates had their own keys to the jail while others could access drugs and cell phones. When Caldwell took over, he promised changes. The sheriff said keeping contraband out of the jail is one of his big challenges. Since March, he’s arrested two of his own jailers. He said he’s conducting more shakedowns and added more cameras inside and outside the jail. Caldwell showed WREG a picture of the evidence seized from a car caught circling a back fence near the rec yard at night. It’s an indication of what his officers are up against. The photo showed a dozen cellphones and chargers, ear buds, bags of what looks like marijuana, rolling papers, cigars, handheld video games, iPods and plastic bottles filled with liquor. Caldwell believed the suspects wanted to throw the items over a fence for some inmates to retrieve later. “They have nothing to do but sit back in our jail and think of ways to get things into our facility. We’re constantly fighting to keep that from happening,” the sheriff said. Caldwell said smuggling contraband into jails and prisons is a problem nationwide. He’s promised to stop it whenever possible because he knows the implications. “It just looks like one big joke to him. He’s talking about going from like pistol whipping to money making,” said the brother of the murder victim. The Crums said it hurts to see the teen arrested for killing this sister, daughter and mother of two girls, bragging on social media from jail while they grieve their tragic loss. “It’s a slap in our face. Kris isn’t here. She can’t defend herself anymore, so somebody has to and that’s why I’m here,” said Crum. Continue reading

White Mother Who Hit Black Teen For Calling White Son “Ni**er” Is Arrested For Assault [Video]

This story is something else… NYDAILY : A Virginia mother who smacked a defenseless black teen moments after her son had been pummeling him has been charged with assault. In the 40-second clip, a Northumberland High School student is seen charging at John Thomas, quickly taking him down, slamming the teen several times on the ground and unloading a flurry of punches at the young boy’s head. The boy’s mother, identified as Heather Lynn Sebra, joins in the beating, pulling off the teen and hitting him with a loud slap across his face. “You are not gonna call my son a n—–, do you understand me?” Sebra is seen yelling in the video. John, who never fought back the entire clip, was confused from the striking mom’s accusations. “What? Why would I call him a n—–?,” he said, just after she had smacked him. John’s mother, Nicole Thomas, was brought to tears watching the clip, and furious at Sebra. “For this woman to restrain my son as she did by his shirt, and stick her finger in his face, after slapping him and chastising him for saying something he did not, how dare you?” Thomas told WTVR. “To abuse, berate, belittle, intimidate and physically attack someone is disgusting.” John told the station he chose not to fight back, firmly believing he was in the right. “Plus, she was an adult,” he told reporters. “So I let her do it. Let her make that choice because in the end I’m going to win.” Northumberland High School principal Dr. Travis Burns told WWBT he was “deeply concerned” over the fight, which he said was between a ninth-grader on the junior varsity football team and an 11th grader on the varsity team. Sebra’s son had been embarrassed after being told to mind his own business when trying to jump in John’s conversation, WTVR reported. He left the room and then came back with his mother, a football volunteer before the brawl began. NYDAILY

For Your Information: California Passes Mandatory Sentences After Stanford Rape Case

Brock Turner Rape Case Leads To Mandatory Rape Sentencing Bill In California The offensively light sentence that Stanford swimmer Brock Turner received for raping an unconscious woman sent the nation into an outrage. As a result, California is now tightening their belt in regards to the punishment that such crimes deserve according to the LATimes … State lawmakers passed a bill Monday to add mandatory prison sentences for certain sexual assaults – a measure inspired by a Santa Clara County Superior Court judge’s decision not to sentence a Stanford University student to prison in a high-profile case this year. The June decision by Judge Aaron Persky to sentence Stanford student Brock Turner to six months in jail after sexually assaulting an unconscious woman sparked significant criticism that the punishment was too lenient. Under current California law, those convicted of rape using additional physical force must serve time in prison. This measure would require the same punishment for sexual assaults of those unconscious or incapable of giving consent due to intoxication. “If we let a rapist off with probation and little jail time, we re-victimize the victim, we dissuade other victims from coming forward and we send a message that sexual assault of an incapacitated victim is just no big deal,” Assemblyman Bill Dodd (D-Napa), a coauthor of the measure, said during floor debate in the Assembly. Good. Guys like Brock Turner deserve as much prison time as they can get. Image via AP Continue reading

The Joys Of Being Black: Watch Oklahoma Police Pepper Spray 84-Yr-Old Black Woman In Her Own Home [Video]

This is pathetic. If an 84-Yr-Old woman doesn’t comply to your commands…it is probably because of her age, jackass! Muskogeephoenix.com : An attorney representing Muskogee said the pepper-spraying of an 84-year-old woman was a reasonable use of force. Attorney Scott Wood said the breach of a home, electrical stunning of a suspect and pepper-spraying of the home’s resident, Geneva Smith, was reasonable “given the totality of the circumstances.” Muskogee police officers followed Arthur Paul Blackmon, 56, at about 2:45 a.m. Aug. 7, attempting to pull him over after he allegedly ran a stop sign at Elgin and South Junction streets. The two officers, Michelle Casady and Jared Forbes, followed Blackmon to the 2400 block of Denver Street, where Smith lives. City officials released late Friday the body and dash camera video — 20 files in all. The video shows Blackmon, ignoring the commands of officers, exit the vehicle he was driving and enter the residence. “It starts off as a traffic stop — that’s a low misdemeanor — but based on the other evidence gathered in those three minutes … it could be a severe crime. It could have been a home invasion,” Wood said. Wood, who was hired because of the potential for litigation, said the truck was not registered to Blackmon, nor was it registered to anyone at the Denver Street address. Officers, debating entry into the home, reportedly heard a male and a female shouting “call police” and “call 911.” Officer James Hamlin, who arrested Blackmon, later asked Blackmon about it, according to Hamlin’s body camera video. “That’s what we was telling you,” Blackmon told Hamlin. “We called 911. We were waiting on the police.” A police officer kicked in the door. An officer shot Blackmon with an electrical stun gun. While six other officers entered the residence, Smith was trying to figure out what was going on. Casady delivered approximately one second of pepper spray to Smith. “My mother’s 84 years old, mother f—–,” Blackmon said when Smith was pepper-sprayed, according to the video. Muskogee Police Chief Rex Eskridge said Smith failed to comply with officers’ orders and turned toward the kitchen. Smith actively resisted by ducking away from officers, Wood said. The police department’s use of force policy states that pepper spray, considered to be the lowest use of force, is to be used for passive resistance. Eskridge said that when Casady used the pepper spray, she “believed she was acting within policy in using” pepper spray to gain compliance. The matter was still under internal investigation as of Friday morning, Eskridge said. “There is nothing more serious than to breach a home without a proper search warrant,” Eskridge said. “We want to make sure that we were in compliance with, not just policy, but the law.” Muskogeephoenix.com
