Earl Sweatshirt is the youngest member of the California skate-rap collective Odd Future, and he’s been missing in action ever since the crew came to prominence in mid-2010, even though his album EARL is probably the most compulsively listenable thing to come out of the crew. On December 17, 2011 one of best friends and I attended the Stevie Wonder House of Toys Benefit concert in LA. We were both so excited because Justin Bieber was going to be there! That day we showed up to the Nokia Theatre LA LIVE around 1 p.m. just to see if we could somehow meet, or even get a glimpse of Justin and the crew. We met up with another one of my friends and went to the back of theatre (where the celebs usually get dropped off) and waited. Over time, more and more beliebers started showing, and it starting raining. But of course that didn’t stop us. It was around 6 p.m. when a black SUV pulled up. We thought, “Omg is it Justin!?” Everyone was freaking out. It wasn’t Justin, it was Dan Kanter and Scrappy!!!!! I couldn’t believe it!!! We called over to them and they waved and stuff, then Scrappy walked over to my friend so she could give him something for Justin and I nervously asked him if I could, “meet him” and proceeded to shake his hand. After that excitement, we continued to wait for Justin. Then some minutes later here comes Dan and Scrappy AGAIN walking over to us! This time I wasn’t going to miss my chance of actually meeting them. I kindly, (and still nervously) asked Dan if i could have a hug and take a picture. He replied “Yes” with a smile. Then I asked Scrappy too! I remember shaking so much, I’m surprised I could even take the picture! After that I asked Dan if he remembered me because he’s dm’d me on Twitter many times and he totally did! He even recognized my “Down to Earth” tattoo! I couldn’t believe what I was hearing, I mean, I’ve dreamt of this stuff actually happening but never thought I would be so lucky! They continued to hang out and take pics and sign autographs for a couple minutess, but before they left I asked Scrappy if he would give Justin this Canadian flag (with mine and my friends twitter names on it) and he said “Yeah, no problem!” I always knew Dan and Scrappy were nice people, but after meeting them it just shows me why I support Team Bieber as much as I do. Eventually they had to go in because the concert was going to start soon so we said our goodbyes and when Dan and Scrappy were walking away we sang the “Dan Kanter” song! Scrappy loved it! A minute later, another black SUV pulls into the entrance and it was JUSTIN! Unfortunately, he couldn’t come out to meet us. But still knowing we got that small glimpse of him made our nights (well besides hanging out with Dan and Scrappy!) By this time it was 7:30 p.m. We finally made our way into the building and were shown our seats, which were awesome by the way! We were soooo close! Before the show we decided to go get some water (because of all the fan girling we were doing made us thirsty) lol. On our way to the bathroom my friend stopped and yelled, “OMG, ITS KENNY!” We ran over to him and asked him for a hug! I gave him the biggest hug ever! He was so sweet. I was freaking out, still thinking to myself this stuff never happens to me! Finally, the show started. Justin didn’t come on until about half way through the show. Once he did something came over me. I started crying and couldn’t stop. The feeling I had was almost indescribable. I was so proud to see him up there singing “Someday at Christmas” with Stevie Wonder, someone he looked up to so much. All I kept thinking of was kidrauhl singing the same song years ago. So during all this going on people kept walking by, but this one guy stuck out to me… it was ALFREDO FLORES!!!!!! I did a double take cause I couldn’t believe my eyes! I yelled out “FREDO!?” and he turned around. At this point all I could get out was “Omg, I love you so much! May I have a picture?” And he smiled (with that oh so cute smile) and said, “Aww love you too, yes of corse!” We snapped a quick picture then he left. The only problem was I left my camera on zoom so I didn’t get a pic with Alfredo after all. But it didn’t matter, I still felt so overwhelmed by happiness all I could do was cry (happy tears). Justin continued to perform a couple more songs, and ended his set with “Baby”. So that was my “My Bieber Experience” Although I didn’t meet Justin I still feel so blessed to have met most of the crew. December 17th, 2011 showed me the true meaning of Never Say Never. This is just the beginning. I won’t give up on meeting Justin someday, because I never gave up before and look at me now. With that being said, I’d like to thank Dan, Scrappy, Kenny, and Alfredo for making me believe in my dreams and showing me the true meaning of NEVER SAY NEVER. -@shelbaybayluvjb Video of us with Dan & Scrappy: Here Video of Justin & Dan performing: Here The rest is here: On December 17, 2011 one of best friends and I attended…
Top three contestants Chris Rene, Melanie Amaro and Josh Krajcik rehearse duets, holiday tunes and final performances. By Jim Cantiello Chris Rene, Melanie Amaro and Josh Krajcik Photo: Ray Mickshaw / FOX It’s finale week at “The X Factor,” and for the first time all season, rehearsals went late. Like, really late. Like, “I guess I’m not watching ‘Conan’ tonight” late. But nobody’s complaining. Each contestant is performing three songs Wednesday night (December 21), and the final three singers are eager to get as much practice as possible. Between the competition and the massive surprise-filled two-night finale, you will not find Chris Rene, Melanie Amaro or Josh Krajcik without headphones on, lyric sheets out, stress lines on their foreheads. Part of the added pressure is that the producers are making the top three prep a “top two” duet. But because the results are unknown, every potential top-two configuration is being rehearsed. By the end of Monday’s epic rehearsals, everyone was sick of the duet song. Despite the high stakes, a moment of levity will enter Stage 36 every now and then. On Tuesday, the background singers presented Chris Rene with a holiday-themed rewrite of his original “Young Homie.” (Think “Young homie, what you eatin’ on?” and swap out lyrics about sobriety with verses about greens and cornbread.) Speaking of the holidays, the top three will be getting viewers in the mood to celebrate with some familiar tunes, although one contestant who shall remain nameless couldn’t quite grasp the lyrics or the melody of a song everyone knows, which drove their mentor to bark, “That’s not a $5 million rehearsal.” Bah humbug! Judge Simon Cowell told the press Monday that he switched one of Amaro’s songs because it was “too British.” I can’t reveal what the song was, but I can say it would have been a very unexpected choice for the resident diva. (On the original recording, there’s an extended flute solo. There, I’ve said too much.) Cowell ultimately decided it was too risky. Will his picks get criticized for being “too safe”? Spotted: Krajcik in a crew headset carrying equipment backstage. What a hands-on dude! (Turns out, he was just shooting a silly video for the wrap party.) Behind the scenes, the crew is buzzing about how unpredictable Thursday night’s results will be. From the stage hands to the talent handlers, everyone shrugs when asked, “Who do you think will win?” Unlike other talent shows they’ve worked on, everyone agrees this might be the first finale in a long while where the winner is not clearly telegraphed. One thing is official: The top three are being treated like celebrities. How do I know? They finally have their own stand-ins for results rehearsals! All season long, only the judges have had stand-ins, but this week, the crew also worked with faux-Melanie, faux-Josh and faux-Chris. Personally, I wish the stand-ins resembled the contestants more, but I suppose it’s also fun to imagine Krajcik as a 6’4″ dude with a buzzed head. And now, I’ll end my final backstage report with a tidbit from the files of my favorite: craft service! As a thank you to the crew, “The X Factor” producers treated the staff to a massive steak lunch, big enough for a Flintstones family reunion. It gave the final week in “X”-land a very “end of summer camp” vibe. Lots of hugs, lots of email addresses being exchanged, and then there was Cowell himself, who told me off-camera that this is the first series he’s worked on in a while where he hasn’t burned out by the finale. “I’m a little sad the season is ending,” he said. You and me both, Simon. Off you go, “The X Factor.” Until next fall … Who should win “X Factor”? Sound off below!

From the beginning, a big thanks to Justin and his crew because I know in this period, he had his cast on his ankle and I think he must have been hurting. My name is Aude. My Bieber experience started the 25th November 2009, the first time Justin came to France. I found him in 2007 from a Canadian Friend. I didn’t live in Paris, but in the South of France. I got to go to the capital because I won a contest, or rather draw of lottery! Wednesday 25th November 2009, I went to the local radio, “Goom Radio” and I was registered to participate in there interview with 40 other people . At 1pm we entered in the local station to wait for Justin. At 2:30pm he was here, he was very late because of traffic. The interview started and he was a little nervous, anxious and I think tired because he had his cast on the ankle. It’s understable because he had so much work, the jet lag was present too. He laughed, and sang in French, “One Less Lonely Girl” but just the beginning with our help . It was so cute when he talked French! The girls was just crazy when he speak French. I was about two feet infront of him. I remained quiet and listened , it was nice. Scooter, Dan Kanter, Kenny and Pattie were present too, she’s a wonderful woman and very beautiful. She was very moved to hear the French fans sing for the first time, his first song “One Time” by heart . There was such a good atmosphere. He asked if there were any questions in French, then answered two of them. He answered mine , for the next visit to France. He’s very down to earth, and he takes the time to listen and to try to understand what was asked in French. He spoke of Beyonce of course, the most beautiful woman and he sang a phrase of “Oh Canada” it was really funny. When the interview was finished we left, I didn’t have the chance to have a picture with him because he was late, but maybe a another time. Later in the evening, we had a personnel invitation to see him in the Jamel Comedy Club for a little concert in acoustic . He really had a presence on stage, and he’s so talented. I don’t really understand what was happening, to be honest for me it was normal, only now I realize that I was very lucky to see him for the first time when he don’t have so much fans. A beautiful day engraved in my heart forever. Don’t lose hope, we deserves to meet him! Believe in your dreams. Thank you to MyBieberExperience to create this amazing site. -@Audesmile See more here: From the beginning, a big thanks to Justin and his crew because…
My name is Grace, and attending Justin Bieber’s Concert late last year was probably the best day of my life. I tried so hard to meet Justin, I didn’t get the chance to, but it was still an incredible day. It all started when my two friends and I got 12th row seats on the floor for general price! We were so excited, and for months all we could do was talk about and plan for the concert. We made purple capes with ‘JB’s on them, made 3 posters, and left to go find his hotel. When we finally tracked down where the crew was staying, we met JB’s light guy, that was pretty funny (he told us he would make sure JB was glowing for us haha) & then we ran around the entire night looking for Justin, Scooter, Ryan, anyone from his crew…but sadly we were unsuccessful. The best part was going to the front desk and asking for Chandler Bing (he sometimes uses that name at hotels, but that was a fail). The next day we left school early to get ready for the concert & waited outside the venue around where the tour buses come in in hopes of meeting someone. Everyone makes it look so easy, but for some reason we didn’t seem to meet anyone from JB’s crew. But Alex Burnham came out! He was adorable. After 4 hours of standing in the cold, we went in to the concert and it was the BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE! Afterwards we ran outside to watch the tour buses leave and met MICHAEL VARGAS! He was soo nice and we didn’t meet anyone else so we decided to leave. This Bieber Experience is for those of you who Never Say Never and haven’t gotten a chance yet. It’s for those of you who read these amazing experiences and wish you could have one too. But don’t give up, Justin never did! I will continue to try my hardest to meet him and so should you. He inspires me so much, people even make fun of my sister just because she likes him, but we are waiting for our chance to prove them wrong and show them what you can do by Never Saying Never! Someday I’m SURE that I WILL MEET JUSTIN BIEBER! I hope that some of you find this encouraging, and always follow your dreams. -Grace (@gra_mohsie31) Continue reading here: My name is Grace, and attending Justin Bieber’s Concert…
