Javaris Crittenton Pleads Guilty To Murder, Sentenced 23 Years Bruh just threw his life away over some shiny trinkets … Via WSB-TV Former NBA player and Georgia Tech standout Javaris Crittenton pleaded guilty in court Wednesday to the 2011 murder of a mother of four. Crittenton, an alleged gang member, was connected to the shooting death of Atlanta mother Julian Jones. Prosecutors claimed Crittenton was aiming for the man who allegedly robbed him days earlier. In court Wednesday, Crittenton made a tearful apology to the family. He told them he wishes he could change places with Jones. He called it a horrible accident. Crittenton accepted a 23-year sentence as part of the deal. Clearly this young man learned absolutely nothing from O.J. Simpson. Javaris just can’t get right. Javaris Crittenton Indicted On Drug Trafficking How can a man with such a bright future fall from grace so quickly? According to Rolling Out: The precipitous and spectacular downfall of former first-round NBA draft pick Javaris Crittenton continues unabated and with horrid ramifications. Crittenton has, in rapid succession been unofficially kicked out of the NBA for engaging in a “playful” locker-room gun incident with former Washington Wizards teammate Gilbert Arenas that stemmed from a card game bet. Shortly thereafter, the former highly-prized basketball player allegedly shot and killed an Atlanta woman accidentally while trying to shoot the men near her in retaliation for robbing him a week earlier. He is awaiting trial and faces decades in prison. And now, Crittenton was indicted on Jan. 15 on drug charges in Atlanta. Crittenton and 13 other people were named in the indictment that was initially the result of an investigation conducted by the Drug Enforcement Agency, according to a source close to the investigation. According to reports obtains by ESPN, Crittenton allegedly conspired to deal yayo and sticky icky in the months prior to his indictment for his alleged role in the August 2011 Atlanta shooting death. Javaris was a first-round NBA draft pick…the world was his for the taking and instead he was shooting people and dealing drugs. He was just another dumb ninja who messed up a good thing.

Gilbert Arenas Pleads Guilty to Felony Gun Charge

Embattled, heat-packing NBA star Gilbert Arenas has entered a plea of guilty to one felony count of carrying an unlicensed firearm in the District of Columbia. He has yet to be sentenced, and could still end up doing time for having the illegal gun. It is estimated that a low-end sentence would carry under six months.
