Race Matters: 25 Black People Forced To Leave S. Carolina Wing Place Because White Guest Felt “Threatened”!

You’ve got to be fawking kidding us! South Carolina Restaurant Forces 25 Blacks To Leave Because White Patron Felt Threatened Via ProgressivePopulist A group of 25 African Americans waited two hours to get in a Wild Wing Cafe restaurant in North Charleston, South Carolina, only to be asked to leave almost immediately after entering the restaurant because a white patron felt “threatened” by them. One member of the group took his complaint to Facebook when the corporate office of the restaurant did not call him back. Michael Brown was one of those 25 customers. They were there to send off Brown’s cousin, who was leaving the Charleston area. After finally being seated after the two hour wait, the shift manager came to the table and told the group that there was a “situation.” According to Brown: She (the shift manager) said there’s a situation where one of our customers feels threatened by your party, so she asked us not to seat you in our section, which totally alarmed all of us because we’re sitting there peaceably for two hours. Obviously, if we were causing any conflict, we would have been ejected out of the place hours before. A member of Brown’s group then begin to videotape the situation. That’s when the shift manager asked them to leave and refused to seat them. As Brown explained: I asked her – I want to be clear with you. I said, so you’re telling me I have to leave. She said I have a right to deny you service. I said so you’re asking me to leave because you’re upset because he was recording you, after we’ve waited for two hours, and after you’ve already pretty much discriminated on us, and she answered yes. Brown said that he called the Wild Wing Cafe corporate office several times, and did not get a response. That’s when he and others in his group decided to publicize the racial discrimination that his group received on Facebook. I will never go to Wild wings cafe in N. Chs again! We (Party of 25 family and friends) waited 2hrs, patiently and were refused service because another customer (White) felt threatened by us. This type of racial discrimination is un acceptable and we have to put a STOP TO IT. The manager looked me dead in the face and said she was refusing us service because she had a right to and simply she felt like it. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS ESTABLISHMENT… PLEASE SHARE THIS POST.. We need your help. The Wild Wings Facebook pages responded with this statement: In light of recent discussions, we would like to make clear that Wild Wing Cafe welcomes and caters to customers of every background, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or age. We are proud to be a place where people from all walks of life can meet, relax and have a good time. Our corporate policy and ethics won’t stand for anything otherwise. We have been in contact with the person who has made us aware his experience was less than satisfactory, and are continuing to speak with him to reach a solution. After Wild Wings offered a free meal to everyone in the party Michael Brown replied: We weren’t coming there for a free meal. When we came there that night, we were coming to patronize the business. This is not a situation where you can just give us a free meal and everything is ok because it’s deeper than that. Ain’t that about a beyotch? These creepy azz…folks think they can practice racism, then offer us more chicken to make amends for their bigotry. SMH Continue reading

Random Ridiculousness: Man Arrested After Calling 911 When McDonald’s Gives Him Six Hamburgers Instead Of Seven

Come on son . Man Calls 911 Over Burgers According to Mail Online Lorenzo Riggins proved that the customer is not always correct when he called police because his McDonald’s order was shorted by one burger. Riggins said he was hungry Tuesday night when he entered a McDonald’s in East Albany, Georgia. He ordered seven McDoubles, one McChicken and a fries. But when he got out to his car he realized that they got his order wrong: there were only six McDoubles in the bag. So he went back in and asked for his order to be corrected, but the person behind the counter wasn’t giving out service with a smile. ‘She was trying to get an attitude with me and I said I’m going to call the police,’ Riggins told WALB. Riggins carried out that threat relaying his story to 911 operators. They heard out his story, asked him where he was and asked him to wait at the McDonald’s. When officers showed up, instead of confronting the McDonald’s employees they arrested Riggins for misusing 911. ‘I called the police and thinking that everything all cool by calling the police, I didn’t know I was misusing 911,’ he said. Riggins was booked and spent a night in the Doughtery County Jail. The next morning, a judge dropped his case saying the night in jail was enough punishment for the crime. ‘It’s really not funny. It’s not,’ Albany EMA and 911 Deputy Director Jim Vaught said. ‘A person who was waiting to get a call in for an ambulance of a car wreck is having to wait – possibly.’ Vaught told KSDK that calling 911 is no joking matter, and does come with the threat of arrest if you misuse the line. ‘The thing you need to understand is that we have their telephone number and we have their voice recorded and we will turn it over to the police department and you will be prosecuted,’ Vaught warned. While he’s upset about the incident,Riggins said that it won’t stop him from eating at McDonald’s again. ‘I would like to say check your food before you leave, always be careful when you go buy food anywhere you go,’ advised Riggins. It really wasn’t that serious…..he’s on that ninja isht. .

SMH: Man Shoots Up Strip Club With AK-47 After Dj Wouldn’t Play His Favorite Song

Ninjas shooting up the club isn’t nothing new, but you mad cause he played the wrong song? Come on dawg. Man Shoots Up Club After DJ Plays Wrong Song According to Raw Story Police in Philadelphia are hoping that video of a man shooting up a strip club with an AK-47 assault rifle over a DJ’s song selection will lead to his arrest. Investigators on Wednesday said that 21-year-old Henry Pettigrew was being sought for the May 11th shooting at Purple Orchid Gentleman’s Club. Police said that bouncers at the club tried to remove him after he became angry because the DJ would not play his favorite song. Pettigrew and an accomplice then assaulted a customer, who they mistook for one of the bouncers. When the customer ran to the parking lot and tried to flee in his SUV, Pettigrew grabbed an AK-47 and began firing at the vehicle. The customer was hit above his right hip and was expected to recover. “Fortunately where it hit him, it hit the flesh of his body and it didn’t hit any vital organs,” Philadelphia Police Department spokesperson Lt. Johnny Walker explained, according to WPVI. The video then showed Pettigrew falling — apparently due to intoxication — as he tried to run back inside the strip club. The suspect fired several rounds in the direction of the DJ. The DJ could be seen ducking for cover as a bullet struck the mirror behind where his head had been. “Just wildly, obviously with an AK-47 with a banana clip, it can fire multiple rounds at a high rate of speed very quickly,” Walker observed. Pettigrew was described as a 5’11″ tall black male, who weighs about 180 pounds and has a thin beard. His accomplice was also a black male, thought to be between 20 and 25 years old and about 5’10″. Anyone with information was urged to call Philadelphia Police at 215-686-TIPS (8477). Tips can be sent via SMS text to PPD TIP (773847) or through PhillyPolice.com. It has to be more to this story. Are people really that stupid to risk their freedom over something so petty? Continue reading

Father With Biracial Daughters Suspected of Kidnapping Them at Walmart

A Virginia couple was both shocked and outraged when the police showed up at their home to establish if they were in fact their children’s parents. Joseph, a white man who didn’t want his last name revealed, and his black wife Keana said this all went down after a trip to their local Walmart. There, a security guard reportedly suspected Joseph, who was walking around with his three young, biracial daughters, of kidnapping them. “He asks us very sincerely , ‘Hey, I was sent here by Walmart security. I just need to make sure that the children that you have are your own,’” Joseph said. Keana was equally perplexed and upset by the question. “I was dumbfounded. I sat there for a minute and thought, ‘Did he just ask us if these were our kids knowing what we went through to have our children?’ The mixed-race couple has been happily married for 10 years; they have a four-year-old daughter and two-year-old twin girls together. Joseph had taken the little girls to a Walmart near their Prince County home to cash a check and left after spending a short time in the parking lot. After speaking with the officer, they called the store demanding an explanation. According to Keana, a customer was alarmed after seeing them. “Well, the customer was concerned because they saw the children with your husband and he didn’t think that they fit,” Keana told the news station. “And I said, ‘What do you mean by they don’t fit?’ And I was trying to get her to just say it. And she says, ‘Well, they just don’t match up.’” As interracial marriage rates increase, the birth of interracial children has soared, with more than seven percent born in the year before the 2010 census. Virginia leads the nation in the percentage of marriages between blacks and whites, making Joseph and Keana not really all that unusual. Though they were upset, the couple said they weren’t surprised by the incident; Walmart issued a statement saying they were looking into the situation.

Disgusting: Woman Finds Toad In Can Of Green Beans She Serves For Family Dinner

Eww, disgusting ! Woman Finds Toad In Can Of Green Beans According to WQAD An Indiana family says a typical dinner turned nauseating after they found a toad in their canned green beans. “We eat a lot of green beans, we do, we did. Nobody wants anymore now,” said Gloria Chubb of South Bend. That was then. WBND reports it wasn’t until she served dinner – meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans – that Chubb’s family made the discovery. “I didn’t see it when I dumped it- I didn’t see it at all until after I cooked it in the microwave,” said Chubb. “I was sick, nauseated for two days, and I don’t think I’ll have green beans anytime soon. “My son put some on his plate and said, ‘What is that?’ I thought maybe it was a piece of moldy bacon or something– because they have bacon in them sometimes,” said Chubb. “I and I took it out of there and it wasn’t moldy bacon, it was a toad with parts of his little legs all in the green beans. Other than that he was fully intact.” Chubb alerted the health department, and they took photos of the toad. They concluded the toad was processed along with the food at the canning plant in Wisconsin. The specialist who compiled the incident report said it probably isn’t the only one, since green bean field are natural habitats for toads and frogs. It’s uncommon to find one in canned vegetables but it does happen from time to time. Toads, mice and grasshoppers are the most common rodents or insects found in canned vegetables; they can be found in frozen vegetables as well. Meijer issued this statement: “Our goal at Meijer is to always provide the highest quality products to our customers. We sincerely regret this customer’s experience, and we are in the process of investigating the incident.” What would you do if you found a toad in your green beans. Shutterstock

REVIEW: Safe Plays It Too Safe — and Wastes Jason Statham

In movie terms, Jason Statham is a man without a country, an actor who fits so conveniently into a certain kind of movie that almost no one can think of him any other way. Where, oh where, can he go from here? Statham is the go-to guy for action movies that require an appealing, thoughtful protagonist who looks great shirtless, and Boaz Yakin ’s Safe is, unfortunately, just more of the same, or perhaps even less of the same. It has neither the Red Bull–fueled crudeness of Crank nor the Frenchified lunatic vitality of the Transporter movies; it’s not even as cheaply entertaining as the generic hit-man retread The Mechanic . Safe shows Statham comfortably treading water, proving all the things he no longer needs to prove – chiefly, that he’s a terrific action performer who moves with more grace than pretty much anyone else in the film world. The picture fails to challenge him. Safe is safer than safe – it’s so relentlessly kinetic that it ends up being dull. Statham plays former New York cop and sometime cage fighter Luke Wright, a guy who first gets on the wrong side of the Russian mob and then pisses off the Triads to boot. Somewhere in there, Luke’s old cop pals get in on the action too: They’re corrupt as hell, and when they finally get a hold of him, they’re all too eager to find ways to dispose of him. All three groups have a stake in one prized piece of property, who happens to be a person: Mei (Catherine Chan) is a child math prodigy who can hold streams of numbers in her head – business figures, safe combinations and the like – thus doing away with all those pesky paper trails. Mei has been whisked away from her home in China and pressed into service by the Triads as a kind of one-person bookkeeping service. Everyone wants the information she has stored in her head, which means she needs to be protected. And you’d think that Statham’s Luke, with his powerhouse brawn, dolphinlike agility and rough-soft kitten’s tongue of a voice, would be just the guy to do it. And he is, sort of. But Safe – written and directed by Boaz Yakin – offers too much mindless gunplay and indiscriminate roughhousing and not enough Statham, even though he’s most certainly the star. The action is ostensibly the movie’s reason for being, yet it’s so chopped up and dizzying it’s practically a distraction, and it pushes the movie into a strange state of inertia. What’s more, the action isn’t cleanly shot or edited – it’s almost impossible to tell who’s coming from where, which, sadly, is pretty much the standard in all contemporary action movies. But it’s a double disappointment given that Statham is such a charismatic star, both in terms of emotional subtlety and in the way his body moves. He has a few astonishing scenes, one in which he shows the deepest kind of sorrow without saying a word. Yakin – who has worked as both a screenwriter ( Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time ) and a director ( Remember the Titans , A Price Above Rubies ) clearly knows what Statham is capable of. So why doesn’t he use this movie to blast open more opportunities for this sorely underchallenged actor? Your guess is as good as mine. Statham does have a few wonderful scenes with Chan, who may not be the most relaxed child actor but who nonetheless has a bright, sparkplug intensity. When Luke pumps her for information, Mei grudgingly complies. “Now you know everything. Happiness for you?” she shoots back bitterly, and in that moment you recognize that even though she’s tiny and cute, she’s a much tougher customer than Statham’s Luke is. He’s taken aback by her precociousness and her perceptiveness, but you can see he respects her, too. That’s the thing about Statham: He has the face of a careful listener, to the extent that his gloriously sculpted body almost seems like an afterthought. The picture could use more scenes like that one, although perhaps Yakin didn’t want to make a retread of Luc Besson’s crazy-wonderful Léon , which paired Jean Reno’s hitman with the littlest hitgal, played by an astonishingly young Natalie Portman. But Safe would be so much better if it followed Léon ’s lead, at least in terms of giving Statham a multidimensional character to play. Statham does his damnedest, but mostly, he just looks a little weary. Those of us who love Jason Statham will just have to wait until someone figures out what the heck to do with him. (So far, Roger Donaldson has come the closest, with his 2008 heist thriller The Bank Job .) For now, Safe is all we’ve got, and you can bet it’s not taking any risks.
