Adam Lind is probably, definitely, almost certainly engaged to his girlfriend, Stasia Huber. “Adam and Stasia have actually been engaged for a few months , but only told close friends and family,” a source told Radar of the Teen Mom 2 star and his beloved. “They plan to go public with the news soon.” Huber has hinted at an engagement on Instagram in recent days, taking selfies that feature the faintest outline of a ring on her left hand. Lil Kim Cancels Essence Fest Appearance Bad news for Queen Bee fans descending on New Orleans this weekend. Essence Festival is already underway and multiple artists have already hit the stage for day one…but one hotly anticipated face won’t be appearing on stage this weekend as planned. Lil Kim has had to pull out of the festivities at the 11th hour, for vague reasons. As Kim’s people shared with People Mag : Lil’ Kim was scheduled to take the stage at this weekend’s Essence Festival, Essence magazine’s annual music and entertainment event held in New Orleans, but her rep issued a statement Friday, announcing the rapper would not be joining Puff Daddy and fellow Bad Boy Records alums on stage due to “unfulfilled business obligations.” “I was looking forward to it,” she tells PEOPLE exclusively of getting to perform for fans at Essence Fest. “I’m so disappointed and sad about that.” In the statement her rep said, “She’s saddened by the news but matters are not within her control.” Man, that sucks for whoever got tickets to see Kim! A Lil Positivity: Homeless Prom Queen Graduates 2 Years Early With Full College Scholarship While Working All Throughout High School

Homeless Teen Graduates Early With Full Scholarship While a lot of ADULTS would be held back by a devastatingly unfortunate circumstance like homelessness , one DC teenager let it serve as the fuel to push her into academic success — all while holding down a 25-hour per week job and participating in extracurricular activities. Via MailOnline : A homeless Washington teenager managed to graduate high school two years early despite working 25 hours a week winning herself a full scholarship to college. Destyni Tyree was living in the DC Central homeless shelter in Washington DC along with 243 other families when the then 14-year-old’s enrolled into Roosevelt S.T.A.Y. High School. She had been forced out of previous schools when her mother lost her job and had to hand over the keys of the family home because they were no longer able to afford the rent. Within two years, Destyni was able to dramatically turn around her life by applying herself in school. She was appointed captain of the school’s cheerleading squad, earned a 4.0 grade point average, and was voted prom queen. She also secured a full scholarship to Potomac State College of West University University that begins in August. The student managed this despite working for 25 hours a week in an ice cream store. “Quite frankly, I’m just ready to go and live life. I know there’s a better life out there for me. It gets better. If you work hard enough, if you have that drive, if you have that motivation, it gets a lot better. I just time managed. I just wake up and do what I gotta do.” NICE! Congrats to this young girl. LeBron James Jr. Already Receiving College Scholarship Offers Lebron James’ champion genes have manifested themselves early in his little ones. Even though baby Zhuri stole the show during Daddy’s press conference after Sunday night’s victory over Golden State, Lebron’s oldest son who was also present apparently already has his Daddy’s skills on the court …so much so that he’s already piqued the interest of several colleges — YEARS before he even hits high school. Via BleacherReport : LeBron James Jr. may be only 11 years old, but he’s reportedly already receiving attention from some of the best college basketball programs in the country. ESPN.com’s Dave McMenamin and Brian Windhorst reported Monday that LeBron Jr. has “standing scholarship offers” from the Duke Blue Devils and Kentucky Wildcats. LeBron Jr. will also likely be able to count on a scholarship from the Ohio State Buckeyes if they haven’t already offered him one. LeBron James has said in the past to reporters he would’ve attended OSU if he hadn’t entered the NBA right out of high school. In 2014, Buckeyes head coach Thad Matta also said LeBron Jr. would be on his “recruiting radar,” per Zac Jackson for Fox Sports Ohio. This Toddler Just Called the Cops on His Dad

Dialing 911 is not a laughing matter. This is an emergency assistance line that must be kept open unless one or someone one knows is actually in need of emergent assistance. But Robbie Richardson has made it impossible for readers not to at least have a chuckle over his recent actions. A five-year old resident of Massachusetts, Richardson recently called authorities… on his father… because he ran a red light. “He tells me, ‘Hey Dad, you just went through a red light,’” Robbie’s father, Michael Richardson, told CBS Boston. “And I said, ‘No Robbie, you can go through that one as long as you stop and there’s nobody coming you can go.’ “He says, ‘No you can’t. That light was red.’ So we get into the car wash and he says, ‘I’m going to call the police.’” And then Robbie really did call the police! You can hear portions of said call in the video below. “My daddy went past a red light,” Robbie told the 911 operator. “He has a black truck. He was in the brand new car, my mommy’s car.” “And then what happened?” the dispatcher inquired. “And he had to go to the car wash and then he went past the red light,” Robbie replied. The police then asked to speak to Michael, who apologized; both for his actions and for those of his son. “Everyone follows the rules, but not Daddy,” Robbie told the Boston Globe, adding that if it happened again, he wouldn’t call the police. “I’ll call the eye doctor so he can fix his eyes.” This little guy (who wants to be a police officer when he grows up) rules.
