5 American (Or Canadian) Pop Stars Who Have Showed Off Their Spanish Chops With Latin Collaborations

Go here to see the original:

Source: George Pimentel / Getty Drake has been the talk of the town all day since releasing a brand new track titled “Mia” with Bad Bunny . The up-tempo record features Aubrey singing in Spanish, as Bunny follows up with a long verse of his own. The visual, released simultaneously, sees both stars enjoying an evening block party, equipped with dancing, hookahs, and a game of dominoes. Bad Bunny feat Drake – “Mia” But 2018 is far from Drake’s first time teaming up with a Latin-American superstar. Back in 2013, Drizzy teamed up with former Aventura lead singer  Romeo Santos for “Odio,” in which the Canadian also showcased his Spanish singing skills. This initial collaboration was especially fitting following the lyrics from Drake’s 2011 smash hit “The Motto,” where he rapped, “Spanish girls love me like I’m Aventura.” What foreshadowing. Romeo Santos feat Drake – “Odio” Though Drake is known for his ability to “adapt” into other cultures like they’re his own, he’s not the first–and won’t be the last–to experiment with some bi-lingual singing skills. Let’s take a look at other huge stars who have crossed over into collaborations with Latin sensations. Before Romeo and Drake came Romeo and Usher .  Mr. Raymond doesn’t actually show off any bi-lingual chops on his track “Promise” from Romeo Santos’ 2011 album  Fórmula, Vol. 1 , but the collaboration was a big deal for both artists, nonetheless. Romeo Santos feat Usher – “Promise” We can’t talk about North American pop-stars crossing over without talking about Justin Bieber . The Canadian heartthrob hopping on the remix to Daddy Yankee  &  Luis Fonsi’s “Despacito” is probably the most successful Spanish crossover of all-time–and with the original video boasting 5.5 billion views on Youtube, it’s one of the most successful singles ever, in general. Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee feat Justin Bieber – “Despacito (Remix)” Keeping it in the family, Luis Fonsi’s brother  Jean Rodriguez is actually the one who coached Beyoncé  on her Spanish chops before she hopped on J Balvin’s “Mi Gente.” Though the release of this song (and Bey’s involvement in it) had everybody freaking out, this wasn’t Mrs. Carter’s first time around the block. The superstar has made her fair share of Spanish remixes to her very own songs including “Si Yo Fuera Un Chico (If I Were a Boy),” “Oye (Listen),” and “Irreemplazable (Irreplaceable).” J Balvin & Willy William feat Beyoncé- “Mi Gente” Though it wasn’t a collaboration with a Latin musician, Kendrick Lamar paid tribute to his Los Angeles roots by rapping his a$$ off en Español for his feature on labelmate Schoolboy Q ‘s track “Collard Greens.” Schoolboy Q feat Kendrick Lamar – “Collard Greens” Those five aren’t the only North American artists to dabble in some Spanish, check out these honorable mentions to get well-versed in the bi-lingual world of American music. DJ Snake feat Selena Gomez, Ozuna, Cardi B – “Taki Taki”

Kailyn Lowry to Chris Lopez: For Real, Get Me Pregnant!

Kailyn Lowry and Chris Lopez have had a very interesting relationship. And by “interesting,” of course we mean “super weird and dramatic and perfect for reality television.” Unfortunately, although Kailyn is of course one of the stars of Teen Mom 2, Chris has never agreed to be on the show, so we’ve missed out on a lot of the action. But man, the things we have heard … It’s been a lot. Like we said, because Chris hasn’t been on the show and hasn’t given interviews, a lot of the things we know about him are just rumors, or information from Kailyn. And since there have been times they haven’t gotten along , she might not be the most reliable source of information. But the gist of it all is that they were friends in college who started hooking up when her marriage with Javi Marroquin fell apart. Towards the end of 2016, she became pregnant, and as she revealed in a blog post she made when the news leaked, it was by choice. Still, the pregnancy was rough on her emotionally, especially because Chris wasn’t that involved. She said on Teen Mom 2 that he had another girlfriend, and that he refused to accompany her to her doctor’s appointments for the baby. In one particularly tough episode, she had a health scare while on vacation, but he still wouldn’t answer her calls or texts. When she gave birth to their son, Lux, in August of 2017, he did start coming around to spend time with the baby. In her new book, Letters of Love, Kailyn wrote that during that time, they actually tried to be a couple for Lux’s sake, but that it only lasted a month. After that, they didn’t speak for around eight months, and during that time, she said that things were especially bad . “I’ve had my bedroom window broken while the baby was sleeping with me in the room,” she claimed, apparently insinuating that Chris was responsible. She also said that “My backdoor had been broken while all of my kids were at home.” “I’ve been left to take care of everything,” she continued, referring to the time that Chris wasn’t involved in Lux’s life. “I kind of knew this would be a possibility, but I guess I wanted to be proved wrong,” Kailyn admitted. “Because I can be totally responsible for our child doesn’t mean that I should take care of everything.” In spite of all of that, she’s said several times that Chris is the only person she’s ever really been in love with . Yep, she had a kid with Jo Rivera, and she got married AND had a kid with Javi Marroquin, but Chris is it. And in a new interview with Us Weekly, she details exactly how much she loves Chris. Hint: enough to want him to put another baby in her! “Before I got pregnant with Lux and had multiple miscarriages, my doctor told me I should be thankful that I have two healthy boys and what’s meant to be will be,” she begins. “I kind of have that perspective now.” Kind of, but not totally. Kail says that in her new book, she wrote that Lux “will probably be my last child.” “I would definitely have more,” she clarifies, “but I also know that my life isn’t really set up for another right now.” She admits that “Ideally I would have liked Chris to be the father of my next child.” Don’t worry, though, it’s not like she’s set on that idea. Instead, she says that “In the meantime, I will focus on my hair line and business ventures and hopefully the other things will fall into place.” It’s good that she sounds pretty chill about this whole thing, right? But then again, it seems like she’s been considering the possibility of having another baby with Chris for quite some time now. On an episode of her podcast from all the way back in May, she brought up the idea, saying that perhaps he could simply donate his sperm to the cause . Given how many ups and downs their relationship has had, it’s hard to say whether or not this could ever actually happen. Right now though, they seem to be getting along better than ever before. She’s even said that they’re sleeping together again . View Slideshow: Kailyn Lowry Puts One Baby Daddy on Blast So … Kailyn pregnancy watch, anyone?

Tiger Woods Wins 1st PGA Tournament Since 2013, Still Canceled

Source: WENN / WENN After five long years, Tiger Woods is a champion again. On Sunday (Sep. 23) the former first overall pick of the 2004 Chappelle Show Racial Draft finally took home a W when he ended the final day of play with a -11 under 269 in the TOUR Championship which was good enough to earn him his first tournament dub since 2013 and 80th career PGA TOUR win. The scene is insane out at East Lake. pic.twitter.com/cr6F5rCf1J — Skratch (@Skratch) September 23, 2018 It’s been a long road back to relevancy for Tiger as the last few years of his life has been marred with health issues, DUI ‘s, surgeries, and worst of all, caping for Donald Trump . Now that Tiger’s finally back in the winning column his lifelong fans are hoping the second act of Tiger Woods’ legend is coming to fruition. Don’t get it twisted though, Tiger’s still canceled as far as the culture goes. Them uppity folks that view golf the same way we view ball can celebrate this man’s legacy like a phoenix rising out of the ashes all they want, but we’ll never forget how far down Mac Daddy Santa fell into the sunken place and all the f*ckery he did to get down there. — Photo: WENN.com

Pauly D: Angelina Pivarnick Cheated On Her Fiancé With Vinny Guadagnino!

If you’ve been watching the show this season, then you’re probably aware that producers keep introducing the Staten Island Hamster into the festering rodent cage that is  Jersey Shore Family Vacation . Thus far, the decision to have Angelina Pivarnick haul her duct-taped garbage bag full of clothes all over the country in pursuit of the housemates’ friendship has yielded mixed results. Sure, Angelina remains annoying AF, but if it weren’t for the rage she brings to the table, the show would be nothing but non-stop Ronnie baby mama drama . Plus, having packed up her Hefty Cinch-Sack and exited the Shore house (twice!) early on in the show’s original run, Angelina provides an interesting link to the guidos’ past. The rest of the cast has mostly moved on from the pettiness of the pasts, but Angelina is still all about that mess. It’s sort of like if you met up with your best friend from third grade and found out that paste is still his favorite food. Try not to think too hard about that Angelina/paste eating analogy as we continue with this story. Trust us. As we discussed last week, Angelina hooked up with Vinny — and, well, just about every other guy in the house during her initial, short-lived tenure on JS. It was all thought to be ancient history, but now, a new rumor holds that Angie and Vin visited the smush room together while filming the show’s current season. That may sound like a tough one to swallow (again, we apologize for our choice of imagery), but believe it or not, Vinny’s most trusted confidante says it’s totally plausible. “I believe it, I don’t know, I believe it,” Pauly said, when asked about the rumor by OK! magazine. “He’s allowed to hook up with women, just no other guys,” the DJ joked, referring to his bromance with Vinny. Kidding aside, Pauly proceeded to point out that Angelina might be in trouble if it turns out the rumors are true: “She’s engaged, though, so if they did [hook up], that’s a problem for her.”  Perhaps we’ll find out later in the season if Vinny and Angelina really went there — or perhaps not. Either way, the housemates’ romantic past has been a frequent topic of conversation on the current season of JSFV. “You guys fight all the time. You have like, one more hate bang to get out,” Ronnie joked on last week’s episode. But unlike Stormy Daniels, who seems to vividly recall the horrid fungal dimensions of Donald Trump’s penis , Angelina is suffering from a severe case of dong-related amnesia when it comes to Vinny. “No, I’m not f–king DTF anymore, Vin,” she said on Thursday’s installment. “Been there, done that with you. I honestly don’t remember your dick. I’m not being mean. I’m not saying it’s small. I’m saying I don’t remember!” Sounds like Angelina may be in need of a crash course on Vinny’s peen. Of course, in this case, we guess you’d call it a smush course. View Slideshow: Jersey Shore Cast: Where Are They Now?

Cory Wharton Takes Aim at Farrah Abraham: Thanks for Your Money, Loser!

In case anyone was wondering… … it looks like Cory Wharton will fit in just fine as a member of the Teen Mom OG cast. How can we say for certain? Because the fitness coach is already firing shots at deposed MTV star Farrah Abraham. Speaking to the Domenick Nati Show this week, Wharton – who cable network viewers might recognize from his days on Ex on the Beach and The Challenge – opened up for the first time about his casting on Teen Mom OG. As previously detailed, Wharton is joining the series this fall as the baby daddy (not boyfriend!) of fellow newbie Cheyenne Floyd . Wharton has the opportunity to do so, of course, because MTV fired Abraham several months ago due to her ongoing participation in amateur pornography videos. Does Wharton wish Abraham were still around? Does he yearn to spar with her on air or just interact with her in various ways? Nope, not really, he says. “I could give two sh-ts less if Farrah was on this season,” Cory said during the aforementioned interview, elaborating a bit as follows: “I think it would be great, more ratings, more exposure for us. I could care less. If she’s happy doing what she’s doing, I have no problem taking her spot this season.” And then here comes the shade: “You can pass her check right over here and I’ll be okay with that.” HA! We love it. And we love it even more because we’re guessing Abraham will hate it and respond in some crass manner on social media. Wharton is following a long tradition of slamming Abraham, as Maci Bookout recently took aim at Farrah herself via a recent Instagram caption. It also appears as if Wharton will be following the even longer-running tradition of getting into major arguments on air, considering the way he teased what fans can expect when Teen Mom OG premieres on October 1. “There’s probably be some type of physical fight,” he said in the interview. “There’s going to be lots of tears.” Sounds par for the MTV course. Here’s a closer look at what’s to come on Season 8: Teen Mom OG Trailer: Are You Happy in Your Marriage? Finally, Wharton explained his relationship with Floyd a little clearer. Folks had been under the impression in the past that Cheyenne didn’t tell Cory he was the father of little Ryder until the girl was six months old. But that isn’t exactly how it played out, he now says. “Cheyenne did tell me she was pregnant right away,” according to Wharton. “She told me there was a chance that it could be mine, but it wasn’t really likely because you know, we hooked up in New York. We weren’t really a thing at the time… We hooked up and after that she started seeing somebody else… They were dating. “We didn’t think it was mine beause it was only one time.” Ah, okay then. At this point, however, Cory and Cheyenne co-parent amicably and, as anyone who follows Wharton on social media knows well, Cory gets to spend a lot of time with his child. “Had a fun day at the apple orchard with the family,” he wrote as a caption to the first image above, concluding: “I just wanted to say thank you guys for all the positive comments and messages, I’ve gotten after letting everyone know we are joining the Teen Mom series. “THANK YOU GUYS!!!!! Please look at Ryder’s face in the last picture. I think we already embarrass her.” View Slideshow: Teen Mom OG Season 8 Preview: Do the Original Girls Still Hate the New Moms?

WARD GIRLS: Ericka Shares How She Makes Her Wardrobe Work For Her Diverse Lifestyle

Source: Photography by Danielle James / Hello Beautiful I approach a cute restaurant with turquoise benches and tables, a pink sign letting you know where you are located: Pagoda Cafe . The trees provide shade to customers and I instantly notice a woman with a full blown out afro, dressed in a blue and white kimono effortlessly placed over a black dress. It’s hot and we meet under the cool shade. She smiles widely and introduces herself, “I’m Ericka.” I smile back, introducing myself and invite a hug, which she warmly accepts. “This is beautiful,” I slightly murmur, looking around at 1430 N Dorgenois Street. With what seems to be hyper hearing, (she has an active and stylish 5-year-old son named Christopher Jr. or “Deuce”), she responds, “Isn’t it? I come here almost every day. That’s why I chose this place.” Ericka was born and raised in the 7th Ward, her family is from the 7th Ward, “ It’s the same neighborhood that my dad and his siblings were born and raised. Some of my fondest memories start off with my siblings and me walking to my grandparents home (MaGen and Big Daddy, so southern) to hang out with our cousins.” Ericka’s kimono blows in the wind as we walk to the end of the cafe to take a few more shots. She reveals she purchased it on Amazon, “They have such great finds.” We talk about how her style has changed pre and post-Katrina. Katrina. The name that fills almost every conversation for some point in New Orleans. “Katrina taught me not to put so much stock in material things because they are replaceable.” Clothing to Ericka, is something that is fun, a way to express her personal style.” She’s a print girl. “You will usually find me wearing at least two prints at a time. Leopard print, and black and white patterns are my version of a neutral: they go with floral prints, stripes, solids and more.” Today, Erica is wearing only one print, but a poppin’ pink lipstick by MAC called Bunnybeams that goes with her pastel pink nails. We talk about trends she’s into, including African wax prints, and she casually adds, “It’s a lot more popular now than when I first started rocking the trend several years ago.” I see you, trendsetter. Find out more about Ericka, New Orleans, and how Katrina influenced her style with our exclusive interview below. Name : Ericka Ann Garnett Windon Nickname : My family only gives me nicknames…EB, ChooChooburger Age : 34 Location (Which Ward/Area are you from) : 7 th Ward Occupation: Attorney, and Fundraising and Development Professional HB: Define your personal style: I am a wife, a mother to a 5-year-old boy, and I work full-time, so it’s easy for me to fall into that busy mom trope of putting everyone else first. Between family commitments and my career, shopping for myself falls to the bottom of my list. But I make my wardrobe work with a bit of creativity and repurposing. If a dress or blouse has a plunging neckline or a zipper, I extend its usefulness by wearing it backwards for a new look. I love borrowing my husband’s bowties or pairing his oxford shirts with shorts and heels or thigh high boots for a feminine take on menswear. When I do shop, I invest in basics that will last: jeans, soft simple tees, an LBD, the perfect pant in a few color options, a moto jacket, and a trench coat. I tend to spend a bit more on my basics and then round those items out with interesting pieces such as an eye-grabbing print, a pop of color, or cool accessories. HB: How has New Orleans influenced your style? New Orleans culture is so rich, vibrant, and eclectic and that’s typically reflected in what I choose to wear. What I love about New Orleans fashion is that there is no one trend or style. Everyone is free to dress the way they like and wear whatever makes them feel good. My grandmothers, Genevieve (MaGen) Baptiste Garnett and Annie Mae Smith, are my biggest style influencers. MaGen taught me how to shop and what to invest in and Ann taught me how to be resourceful. Source: Photography by Danielle James / Hello Beautiful HB: What is your favorite hairstyle and why? My fro! It’s thick and unapologetically kinky, curly, and big. The fro takes work, but when it’s good, it’s really good. My hairdresser, Blair Harris, also keeps me looking fly whether it’s styled in a fro, braids or a blow-out. HB: Is there anything you lost in Katrina (clothing or accessories related) that you still wish you had? I wish I had one of the hats my maternal grandmother, Ann, made or her antique sewing machine and table, especially since she recently passed away. Ann was a skilled seamstress and milliner. She made all of my pretty dresses when I was a kid, and she taught me how to sew. I can still smell the spools of fabric in her sewing room, and I will never forget the sight of her happily sewing while humming to some tune. My grandmother lived in the lower 9 th ward, so she lost everything for the second time (the first being hurricane Betsy) in Katrina. The lower 9 is the neighborhood she and my late grandfather chose to raise their family, and it’s the neighborhood where they and their children forged lifelong friendships. I haven’t been back to the 9 th ward since the storm. HB: How has your style changed post-Katrina? My post-Katrina style is both adaptive and flexible with a touch of creativity. I like to take trends and make them my own to suit my mood and my personal aesthetic. I can also take something outdated and make it fresh again; I owe that to rummaging for bargain replacement clothes. HB: What’s one thing that people may not know about the fashion and style in New Orleans? We wear lightweight, breathable clothing because it’s so hot. When the temperature hits south of 70 degrees, we’re breaking out our finest winter wear. HB: Why did you choose this location for the shoot? I was born and raised in the 7 th ward. It’s the same neighborhood that my dad and his siblings were born and raised. Some of my fondest memories start off with my siblings and me walking to my grandparents home (MaGen and Big Daddy, so southern) to hang out with our cousins. Therefore, it was only fitting for the shoot to be done in the 7 th Ward. Bayou Road is home to some of the coolest minority-owned businesses in the city, such as the Community Book Center, a 34 year old African and African-American bookshop and community center; Coco Hut Caribbean Restaurant; and my favorite coffee shop, Pagoda. I live in an adjoining neighborhood, so Bayou Road is nothing but a quick bike ride or a leisurely stroll away. HB: What is something that most people don’t know about the specific Ward you reside? In the mid-1800s the 7 th ward was settled by a large population of free people of color. As a result, the neighborhood became a hub for music, culture, and innovation. The 7 th ward nurtured jazz greats Jelly Roll Morton and Lionel Ferbos, groomed civil rights activist A.P. Tureaud, and continues to churn our talent such as, Mannie Fresh, Tyler Perry, Frank Ocean, Luke James, Anthony Mackie, and Tyrann Mathieu.  I currently live in the 5 th Ward in Mid-City, a few blocks from Bayou St. John. I love it here because I can get everywhere rather quickly. We frequently use the Lafitte Greenway Pedestrian and Bike Path to take us from the bayou to the French Quarter, and there are quite a few restaurants, hangout spots, and green spaces within walking distance. It’s pretty family friendly and you will always get a good morning, a good evening or a good conversation from local New Orleanians. HB: What is one thing you never leave the house without? Lipstick in a bold color, because my son loves when I send him off with a kiss on his hand; it’s like his very own badge of honor. DON’T MISS:
