Red Tails executive producer George Lucas had nothing but good intentions by getting this movie made, but he admits that he has unintentionally put Black filmmakers in jeopardy. He financed Red Tails with his own money because he could not get a studio in Hollywood to pick it up. Red Tails cost $58 million to make, more than most other Black films to produce, and if it doesn’t succeed financially, Lucas recognizes that studios will be less likely to green light more movies by Black filmmakers for Black audiences. If this isn’t one of the top Daily Show moments in history, it’s up there. Coming under fire for going too easy on his friend, embattled Rep. Anthony Weiner, in recent days, Jon Stewart held a mock press conference to “resign.” In order to deal with the pain of quitting his post, he felt compelled to make a series of drinks (obviously) and cut his hand on broken glass in the process. Watch Stewart hilariously continue the sketch while bleeding out: Jon Stewart Bleeds During Anthony Weiner Sketch Many critics felt the Daily Show ‘s softball handling of Weiner, a known friend of Jon’s, was absurd given that … it’s Jon Stewart. And it’s Weinergate ! Apparently the critiques hit home with Stewart, who acknowledged this as only he can, “resigning” from his lofty post for failing to do his job properly. In a similar setting to where Weiner gave a press conference a day earlier, admitting he sent lewd pics and “taking responsibility,” Jon followed suit. Some words – and shards of glass – cut too deep to ignore.

‘Daily Show’ guest Tracy Morgan had a message for Donald Trump, who has joined a group of “birthers” who insist our President is not a United States citizen. “I just want to reply to the Donald Trump thing,” Morgan said. “Donald, I got [Obama’s birth] certificate.
