Melissa Gentz , 22, posted a picture of her bruised and bloodied face on social media. Her attacker was her socialite boyfriend Erick Bretz according to New York Daily News . He allegedly attacked Gentz on September 23 in his downtown Tampa condo tower. Melissa, a University of South Florida student, posted her scars on Instagram three days later writing: “You know how we usually have a side of our face that we prefer more than the other? I like my left side. Unfortunately, it’s the side that was severely bruised by violence,” she captioned the image. “Today was the first day in which I felt like passing some mascara and blush on the right side of my face… I won’t hide the marks of my story because NO woman should feel ashamed of (sic) feel blamed for being a victim of domestic violence.” You can check out Gentz’ graphic pic for yourself here . The bruises Gentz suffered went viral in her native Brazil with over 1 million shares of her photo. Even actress and model Luiz Brunet shared Gentz’s story on her Instagram. Brazilian soap star Joao Vicente de Castro also wrote, “Courageous. Doing what you have done is important and necessary. I’m proud of people like you. We are with you.” Four days after posting her initial photo, Gentz shared another pic of her bruised face, but this time it was nestled in a basket of flowers. “Life moves on and we’re all strong enough to put ourselves first,” she wrote. You can check out that photo here . Erick Bretz’s father owns one of Brazil’s largest grocery chains and he’s also known on the Brazilailan Motocross Championship circuit. Gentz and Bretz were reportedly dating for three months before the September 23 attack. The altercation allegedly grew after Bretz mixed insomnia medication with alcohol. He allegedly kicked Gentz in the face and tried to strangle her with his legs. She also told the cops that he punched her in the face, struck her in the face with a bottle, and pulled out chunks of her hair. Bretz, 25 was arrested on charges of domestic battery by strangulation and tampering with a witness. He was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail, then was later released on a $60,000 bail. He has since pleaded not guilty.

If you ask some people Lil Wayne is one of the most talented and versatile artists that hip-hop has ever seen. If you ask others, he may be labeled inconsistent, one minute he’ll drop a metaphor that makes you pause the music and think, the next he’s going into way too much detail about how he likes to perform oral sex on women. Either way Lil Wayne has been one of the brightest stars in hip-hop since his appearance on ‘Back That Azz Up’ by Juvenile back in 1998. Source: Rick Kern / Getty The star has seen tumultuous times in his career, from being imprisoned at Rikers Island to basically being held hostage by his own adopted father, he’s seen it all, but its truly only made the hip-hop community appreciate his contributions that much more. With that being said, we consider Weezy to be one of the top 25 rappers of all-time (maybe even higher) so we’d be remiss to not take a look back at Wayne’s career on his 36th birthday. Here are our picks for the top 10 Lil Wayne songs, in no particular order! 10. Lollipop We know what your’e thinking, why is this corny ass Lil Wayne song the first one listed? Well despite how corny it may be it was a radio smash hit spending a crazy six weeks at #1 on the Hip Hop Billboard charts. The song also stayed on Billboard charts for an astounding 26 weeks. No one could have guessed the success of this song when it was first released. As the first single to ‘The Carter 3’, it created an incredible amount of momentum for Wayne which culminated in the album going #1 on the Billboard albums chart and ended up selling over 1 million units in the first week and it can thank this international hit for a big portion of the sales. 9. A Milli From that same spectacular album came a more bar centric song in ‘A Milli’ which saw Wayne boasting about his incredible talent and comparing popping people with guns to popping Orville Redenbacher popcorn. 8. 6 Foot 7 Foot After the release of ‘The Carter 3’ most fans were wondering if Wayne could top what ended up being the best album of his career. He responded by dropping one of his best tracks yet in ‘6 Foot 7 Foot’. In the song he gave us one of the most memorable Lil Wayne bars of all-time in: ‘Real G’s move in silence like lasagna’. In addition to this he introduced us to the young and talented Cory Gunz. 7. Tha Block is Hot This song was Wayne’s first official single from his debut major label album, one could argue that without the success and longevity of this southern banger we wouldn’t have the Wayne we have today. 6. Go DJ When Wayne linked up with Mannie Fresh on his fourth album it introduced him to a sound that was more mainstream appealing while still being hard hitting like his songs that preceded it. It got Wayne into clubs all around the country and were positive it made some fans sure that Wayne was destined to be a star. You couldn’t ride around in a car at all without hearing this song in 2004. Rappers just don’t drop tracks like this anymore. 5. Georgia Bush Alright, that’s enough of album Wayne, real Lil Wayne fans will tell you that despite his album success, he’s actually at his best on his mixtapes. After the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina, Wayne felt compelled to speak up for his native New Orleans which he felt was ignored by then President George W. Bush. In the song he criticizes the President and highlights just how hard New Orleans was hit. To this day its still one of the most heartfelt Weezy tracks. You can find this track on his collaborative mixtape with DJ Drama titled ‘Dedication 2’ which dropped in 2006. 4. Upgrade Da Drought 3 may be a top contender for one of the best Lil Wayne mixtapes, seriously go listen to it again, it’s fire! Its actually really hard to pick one stand out song from the tape but if we had to pick, it would be this track for sure. 3. Stuntin Stuntin was one of the first tracks where we got to hear Wayne and his protege, an unknown by the name of Drake, spit on a track together. It easily became an instant classic from his Dedication 3 mixtape. Oh, and this was the first mixtape to drop after Barack Obama was nominated President in 2008 as DJ Drama reminds us in the middle of the freakin song. 2. Swag Surfin As you can tell, on his mixtapes, Wayne made a habit of ruining other peoples songs by going harder on them than the original artist did. On ‘swag surfin’ Wayne literally spazzes with straight bars over the whole track. It’s honestly a classic Wayne track and isn’t even as popular as some of his other tracks. 1. Rap City Freestyle Okay, this last pick isn’t an actual song, its one of Wayne’s most popular freestyles on one of his appearances on the now debunked BET show ‘Rap City’. Still it shows just how talented he was and why he is ultimately considered to be one of the best MC’s to ever grace a mic with his presence. So, what do you say, do you agree with our list? Source: New York Daily News Archive / Getty Guess the Carters and Kanye West are not “famleeeeee” after all, well at least not for now. Kanye West is currently in rebrand mode cause he really wants us to listen to his forthcoming new album. He has been very active on social media lately especially on his Instagram account. Jay-Z and Kanye’s friendship has been on the rocks since West expressed his sadness about Hov and Bey skipping his wedding. Kanye gave fans a glimmer of hope for a Throne revival when he shared a picture of Jay-Z and Beyoncé on his Instagram account with the caption “famleeeeee” cause he thought the singer was wearing a pair of his $650 shoes from his YEEZY season 5 collection. Welp, they were not, Beyoncé was instead rocking a pair of stylish $50 shoes from Public Desire. Ye should have known Beyoncé has better taste than that. We don’t know if Kanye has been informed of the mistake yet because the picture is still up on his timeline. We honestly hope Kanye and Jay-Z have worked on their issues because frankly, he could use his big brother back in his corner. Yeezy may think he is out of the sunken place , looks like he is still trapped in there and is trying his best to claw his way out. — Photo: New York Daily News Archive / Getty
Deborah Ramirez, a former Yale classmate of Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh, has come out and accused the embattled judge of sexual misconduct. She’s the second woman in about a week to have done so. In an explosive article penned by Ronan Farrow (the reporter who exposed allegedly heinous sex-related crimes by Harvey Weinstein and Les Moonves) and investigative journalist Jane Mayer, Ramirez says Kavanaugh exposed his penis to her during a party their freshman year of college. The 53-year old admits to having been very drunk at this dorm gathering, but that Kavanaugh “caused her to touch it without her consent as she pushed him away.” She says he then laughed at the incident, which allegedly took place at some point in 1983 or 1984. Farrow and Mayer write that Ramirez was initially hesitant to come forward due to “gaps in her memory” as a result of the alcohol consumption that night. However… “After six days of carefully assessing her memories and consulting with her attorney, Ramirez said that she felt confident enough of her recollections to say that she remembers Kavanaugh had exposed himself at a drunken dormitory party, thrust his penis in her face, and caused her to touch it without her consent as she pushed him away.” This is what Ramirez says about what transpired: “I wasn’t going to touch a penis until I was married [because] I was raised a devout Catholic in Connecticut… I was embarrassed and ashamed and humiliated.” Describing her memory of Kavanaugh’s act and subequent reaction, Ramirez told the magazine: “I can still see his face, and his hips coming forward, like when you pull up your pants.” The aspiring Supreme Court Justice, who is currently scheduled to testify in from of Senators on Thursday morning in response to an attempted rape allegation by Christine Blasey Ford , has issued the following statement: This alleged event from 35 years ago did not happen. The people who knew me then know that this did not happen, and have said so. This is a smear, plain and simple. I look forward to testifying on Thursday about the truth, and defending my good name — and the reputation for character and integrity I have spent a lifetime building — against these last-minute allegations . And then there’s this from White House spokesperson Kerri Kupec: This 35-year-old, uncorroborated claim is the latest in a coordinated smear campaign by the Democrats designed to tear down a good man. This claim is denied by all who were said to be present and is wholly inconsistent with what many women and men who knew Judge Kavanaugh at the time in college say. The White House stands firmly behind Judge Kavanaugh . Sources say President Donald Trump has no intention on asking Kavanaugh to withdraw his name from consideration, while Senator Diane Feinstein has called for a delay of all hearings and testimonies until the FBI can investigate both allegations of sexual misconduct against Kavanaugh. According to The New Yorker article, “Senior Republican staffers also learned of the allegation last week and, in conversations with The New Yorker, expressed concern about its potential impact on Kavanaugh’s nomination. “Soon after, Senate Republicans issued renewed calls to accelerate the timing of a committee vote.” A roommate of Kavanaugh’s in college tells the publication that he may not have been present at this Yale party in question — but that he is “100 percent” sure that Kavanaugh would have done something like this during his time at Yale. The judge was part of a fraternity (Delta Kappa Epsilon)back then that whose members waved a flag made of women’s underwear around campus during his time as a brother. The Yale Daily News has also noted that Kavanaugh became a member of Truth and Courage, one of Yale’s secret societies for seniors that was nicknamed “Tit and Clit.” In 2015, referring to his high school, he said in a speech that “what happens at Georgetown Prep stays at Georgetown Prep and that’s been a good thing for all of us, I think.” This may not be the case after all, however. “I would think an FBI investigation would be warranted,” Ramirez told The New Yorker of her claims. Ford has also encouraged the FBI to look into her allegations against Kavanaugh. Neither Republican Senators nor President Trump have given the agency a green light to do so, however.

Recently, things got intense when Kevin Hart went HARD on Katt Williams for shadingTiffany Haddish in an interview (to big up other Black women in comedy). Luenell thinks they should ALL stop beefing, because it’s the studios not giving Black comedians — especially Black funny women, opportunities. Luenell says that she, Kevin Hart, Katt Williams, Mike Epps and Tiffany Haddish all starred in a movie called “School Dance”, written and produced by Nick Cannon and Lionsgate PLAYED them all. The movie was never released in theaters, because Lionsgate was finicky. Also, the actors were NEVER PAID. Let’s fix this bullsh*t & quit playin’ b 4 somebody get Hurt around this b*tch! Actually we ALL got f**ked on This deal, Nick included. This should have been released n theaters All Across the Country! A Blockbuster is what it would have been but Nooooooo, Lionsgate dropped the ball, didn’t have Faith n us, this project and NOBODY got paid! F we’re going to fight let’s fight with the motherf**kers who go up in us on a regular basis! The damn Anglo, Male, Pervy, Sexist, Racist STUDIOS not each Other! F we r going to b*tch and point fingers, let’s point them n the right direction! I’m not Scared, maybe everybody Else is but not This Oakland bred bitch! Now, as my friend Peacock says, “Let THAT b the reason”. “School Dance” sounds like a good movie, with a funny, stack cast — right?!! Lionsgate is super shady…smh. Yesterday, we exclusively reported Leslie Jones’ take on this feud in Black comedy , and she said “both Kevin and Katt was the same to women like all these ni**as in this game. Sh*tty. and still is. Women have never had it good.” Hopefully this conversation surrounding Black women in comedy reaches the right parties! What is your take on what Luenell has to say on the issue versus Leslie’s thoughts?
