Woman Who Took Photo Of Geoffrey Owens Working Apologizes That viral photo floating around of Cosby Show actor Geoffrey Owens making honest money working at Trader Joe’s has opened up a conversation about “respectable work” and the media’s leaning to shaming those who earn honest checks . The woman who snapped the pic, 50-year-old Karma Lawrence, says that the entire fiasco of her taking a photo of the actor working to pay his bills and support his family got entirely out of hand. She now claims to NJ.com she meant Geoffrey no ill will when she whipped out her phone and took a photo of him working and minding his business. She also says she didn’t mean to cause an uproar or shame the actor when she distributed the photograph to SEVERAL celebrity sites before it was finally picked up and published by Daily Mail. She’s since faced quite a bit of backlash, and surprise surprise…she’s so so sorry now. “So much hate. So much nastiness. Oh, it’s been terrible. They write Karma’s a b****. It’s bad.” She says she consumes a lot of Hollywood gossip media and paparazzi shots, so thought not much of it when she took a photo of the actor: “I don’t know why I snuck a picture. I figured everybody does it. I don’t know what possessed me. I just did it. I didn’t even think about it. I just kind of did it on impulse and it was a bad impulse. “It wasn’t malicious. That’s on my kids, my grandkids, my parents. I’m not that type of a person. I’m not the monster they’re making me out to be. When I saw him working there I thought maybe because of everything with Bill Cosby that his residuals got cut. And people have to take a normal job. But I didn’t think anything bad about it. I work a normal job.” Either way, her photo appears to ultimately have done more good for the actor than harm. That’s when you see it. WorldStar posted a couple fighting in Applebees and the woman mashed cake into the guys face. You laugh hysterically, realizing that your leg is numb and it’s time to wipe and go back to being a productive member of society. A few days later, you see this giant uber driver throw his passenger into a fountain in New York City and you can’t believe your eyes while making a mental note never to slap someone twice your size. Part of you starts to question to the legitimacy of the video. Is this real? Remember the pizza delivery guy who opened fire on the robbers who tried to rob him? Fake! It’s something I like to call Reality IG. Skits that seem like real caught on camera moments in ‘the everybody and their momma has a camera phone’ world that we live in. Allow me to introduce you to Daniel Jean . One of the best to do it. Daniel is responsible for a lot of the caught on camera fights you see. Cheating girlfriends, cheating boyfriends, cheating at a game of chess. Daniel started out working with This Is 50’s Jack Thriller as a part of his Party and Bullshit Show . He would bring flowers, teddy bears and candy to the guests, as a way to promote his luxury car service. A driver needs clients. Eventually, he started driving around Fat Boy SSE , a popular Instagram comic who asked Daniel to be apart of his skit. Eager to help, Daniel hops out of the car with no shoes on ready to play his part totally forget he doesn’t have shoes on. Daniel explained he normally drives barefoot, so he asked to do it over but Fat Boy’s girlfriend is saying no keep doing it with no shoes to which Daniel replies. “What kind of freaky shit are you on this don’t make any sense.” But she said, “it’s perfect it’s funny. I didn’t think it was funny at all. Then Fat Boy said he would just put a little water on your feet while he did this dance routine.” Fat Boy ended up pouring the whole bottle on Daniel’s feet to get a huge reaction out of the unexpected twist that made the video hilarious. Most people laughed at Daniel’s facial expressions. Yet he wanted more, but after reaching out and working with other IG comedians he quickly learned about the politics of “Doing It For The Gram!” So he asked one of his friends with over 200K followers what did she do to get all those followers and “she said I said fuck it.” So that’s exactly what Daniel said. “I said Fuck it. I said fuck it I’m going to put my relationship problems out here in the street and see what happens.” That’s when he started making skits that were grounded in reality, using the people on the streets to add to the humor and shock value to his art. It’s so believable that he’s gotten recognized by NY Daily News, TMZ and other major outlets who don’t know exactly what’s going on. “I know people think there is no way this guy is creative like that to do this skit like that,” Daniel reveals but what he’s doing it working building him a following of over 307K people. Source: Christopher Polk / Getty The first-week sales projections for Travis Scott ‘s freshly released album Astroworld have officially arrived, and it looks like La Flame is about to have an absolutely insane opening. According to reports from Hits Daily Double , the songs on the Houston rapper’s third studio album have been streamed over 100 million times. In terms of actual sales, the album is expected to move somewhere between 450-500,000 equivalent album units in its first week. That is an undeniably massive opening, especially when compared to the numbers Travis has pulled in the past. If these sales projections come to fruition, Scott will have more than quadrupled the first-week sales total of his last project, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight– which moved 89,000 units in its opening week. The album is loaded with features from big stars including Drake , Frank Ocean , and Stevie Wonder. This album and it’s release has been teased for more than 2 years at this point, which could be why it’s doing such huge numbers. In any case, it seems like Astroworld ‘s long-awaited release has not disappointed, at least as far as number go. We’ll find out for sure once the final numbers come in.
