Police Shed Light On Argument That Led To Fatal Beating Of Black Tourist In Greece This story is downright sickening and the more we learn, the more upset we become. According to the latest NY Daily News reports , Bakari Henderson, a recent University of Arizona graduate visiting Greece to work on a photoshoot, may have been beaten to death as the result of an argument over a request to take a photo. On Sunday Greek newspaper Kathimerini reported that witnesses say Henderson and his friends wanted to take a photo with a waitress at the Bar Code bar but that request upset a bouncer. It’s still unclear how things escalated from there. Henderson graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in in business administration and sports management just two weeks ago. The 22-year-old was visiting the isle of Zakynthos when he was killed early Friday morning. Greek police have arrested two bar employees and charged them with murder while another six Serbian tourists have been arrested in the days since the attack. Just yesterday, we learned that Javi Marroquin is dating Lauren Comeau , a Maine native and South Carolina resident whom he reportedly met through a mutual friend. It seems as though the relationship is in its early days, but it also seems that both parties are very, very into it. Javi gushed about Lauren in a recent interview with Radar Online, and now she’s following suit. Lauren spoke to the site today, and while she appears to be just as giddy as Javi, she’s also not in denial about the unique difficulties of their relationship. Comeau seems to have no plans of leaving South Carolina, and with a young son and a cushy reality TV gig, we doubt Javi will be moving relocating outside of Delaware any time soon. That means that in addition to the challenges of Javi being a reality star with an even more famous ex, Marroquin and Comeau are dealing with the difficulties presented by a long term relationship. “Distance isn’t ever easy,” Comeau told Radar. “But we have a lot planned and busy schedules in between so I think we’ll handle it well.” Comeau also opened up about the unusual way in which she and Javi met. It seems a mutual friend introduced them online and they communicated for several weeks before meeting in person at a recent wedding. “We connected through a mutual friend in Delaware and finally got to meet at a recent wedding,” she said. “We clicked instantly, and just really enjoyed each other’s company. I’m excited to see what happens.” Javi seemed equally optimistic in his own interview: “This one feels right,” he told Radar. He recently posted a photo of himself with Comeau, along with the following caption: “Sometimes I wish I can go back in life, not to change sh-t just to feel a couple things twice.” Both parties say they’d like to “take things slow,” but we think their actions are speaking louder than their words. Let no one say the police in Asheville, North Carolina don't know how to have a good time. As you'll find out in the fun story below, a couple officers in this city were called on July Fourth to investigate an unusually long and allegedly illegal Slip 'N Slide. When they arrived on the scene, however, these badge-wearing heroes didn't place anyone under arrest. Instead, they placed themselves on a tube and had some fun… 1. Let’s Set the Scene A neighbor called 911 after spotting a giant Slip ‘N Slide down the street, seemingly blocking traffic. 2. The Cops Dutifully Showed Up and Investigated But they didn’t shut down the activity… they joined in! 3. WHEEEEE! “We looked at it and determined it wasn’t really an issue,” said senior officer Carrie Lee, as a neighbor captured the unexpected play time on video and then shared it on Facebook. 4. There She Goes! “The first thing I said, I said I’m not here to break up your fun,” Lee said, explaining how she and her partner then decided to partake in the fun. 5. We’re two days shy of a year from when Nicky Hilton Rothschild gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Lily Grace Rothschild. Apparently the 33-year-old heiress-turned-aristocrat is wildly enamored with motherhood — because she’s already pregnant with her second child. Yes, before her daughter’s first birthday, Nicky Hilton is pregnant again with another Rothschild. “The couple are thrilled about the new addition to their family,” a representative confirmed to People after The Daily Mail first reported that the two were pregnant. According to previous statements from Nicky’s mother, Kathy Hilton, Nicky is totally on top of motherhood. “She’s unbelievable. With my babies, if I wanted to go pick them up I would just go in the room in the middle of the night, but Nicky is very much on a schedule. This is nap time, this is tummy time, so I’m just kind of like, ‘Okay.’” So long as nobody’s, like, being hurt or traumatized or whatever, it’s totally fine for people to have different parenting styles. “I’ll tell her certain things, but she’s read up on everything.” Whatever Nicky had learned from books at that point, we’re sure that she’s learned a lot more from being a mom to little Lily Grace. It sounds like Nicky pays as much careful attention to motherhood as her big sister Paris does to business. The Rothschild family is old and aristocratic. (That’s why you almost certainly recognized the name even if you haven’t followed Nicky’s life) And as much as we in the States like to poke fun at the long and sordid history of interconnected European royal families, celebrity families in the US can get into a similar predicament. For example, Nicky’s children won’t just be heir to the legacies of both the Rothschild and Hilton families, though obviously those are both big deals. Nicky’s kids will also be related to Kim Richards and Kyle Richards, of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fame. Kim and Kyle are already Lily Grace’s great-aunts, actually. Though, if we’re talking aunts, there aren’t many bigger deals in life than having Paris Hilton for an aunt. That’s the dream. It’s almost impossible to read up on Nicky Hilton’s relationship with James Rothschild and not think of another young couple where the woman is a famous American and the man is British and comes from an extremely prominent family. Reportedly, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been very cozy lately , continuing to see each other in private as often as their respective schedules will allow. There’s still some controversy over the idea of Harry marrying an American — yes, even in 2017 — but we like to think that British aristocrats like James Rothschild marrying Americans helped to pave the way in British society. Sometimes, social progress “trickles up,” if you will. And then, of course, there’s the fact that Prince William married Kate Middleton, who is British but was a commoner. Sometimes you have to chip away at senseless traditions, one tiny piece at a time, to make way for others. Parallels aside, though, we don’t expect the sort of pomp and public enthrallment for Nicky and James’ new child as royal babies receive, obviously. Actually, given the nightmare of Brexit and generally mixed public feelings about the monarchy, we wonder how much attention future royal babies will receive compared to how much attention was lavished on George and Charlotte. But the only attention that Lily Grace and her expected younger sibling need, of course, comes from their parents. Last time, we learned about Nicky Hilton’s first pregnancy in January. That was about six months before Lily Grace was born. We know that Nicky Hilton likes to keep to regular schedules. Jeronimo Yanez Goes On Trial For Philando Castile Shooting The trial for the officer who killed Philando Castile in July 2016 is beginning. As previously reported Minnesota Officer Jeronimo Yanez is facing a second-degree manslaughter charge and two charges of dangerous discharge of a firearm for endangering Castile’s girlfriend Diamond Reynolds and their child. According to The New York Daily News , jury selection starts Tuesday and is expected to last several days. Yanez is expected to testify that he was defending himself as he shot Castile while he reached for his I.D. STARZ Series Wins Fan Approval For Groundbreaking Magical Gay Scene We hadn’t heard much about “American Gods” on STARZ but the show is definitely making headlines after Sunday’s episode. Tonight's episode of #AmericanGods will have everyone talking. The show found the pair having sex in Abtahi’s character’s hotel room after meeting when Kraish’s character picks him up in a NYC taxi. Abtahi plays Salim, an Omani trinket salesman, while Kraish plays a mythical creatture from Arabian and Islamic mythology known as Jinn or Ifrit. Both men appear fully nude in the scene, which begins when the Ifrit emerges after taking a shower and drops his towel revealing a full on erection. Here’s where it goes above and beyond anything shown on television before — once Salim and the Jinn start going at it, the scene changes to a CGI enhanced mythical world where they make love until climax, which is pretty spectacular from the descriptions we’ve read — as the Ifrit busts a great ball of fire on his partner. Kraish, who plays the Ifrit told Daily Mail: ‘Following the responses on social media, I am struck by amazement how much the fans are involved with every moment and how they’ve responded to this chapter in AMERICAN GODS in particular. ‘How they’ve responded to me and Omid as the Jinn and Salim have been so positive that I’m just happy that I’m doing all the fans justice. It’s quite moving. A great loving fan base for Neil Gaiman and his work.’ It was the first sex scene for Kraish, but he says it was made easier because of his friendship with fellow actor Abtahi: ‘When I found out Omid Abtahi was cast as Salim, that made it so much easier because we’ve been actual friends for the past 10 years. I met Omid when I first moved to Los Angeles from Brooklyn, NY and we clicked as friends and respective artists. Also, we kept running into one another at auditions so he was part of the “brown-actor” community as we would say jokingly.’ Kraish also said he put his faith in Bryan Fuller, the show’s executive producer, who is gay. ‘I remember having a deep conversation with him about the nudity and telling him that I wanted to make sure we were not doing this to be shocking or gratuitous. And he truly walked me through his vision. And when you just put your heart and trust in the hands of a man like that you know it will be beautiful. ‘As for how it portrayed Middle Eastern men while it was in the back of my mind, I wanted it to focus on two people who just connected and loved one another because they needed each other. It doesn’t matter what your race or sexuality is…everyone can understand and connect with that,’ he said. It definitely sounds like some ground breaking stuff… Fuller previously told Entertainment Weekly that he had the actors reshoot the scene after not being entirely convinced by the first take. He also told TV Guide that the love story between Salim and Jinn were crucial to maintaining the integrity of the 2001 novel “American Gods” that inspired the series. ‘[It] was an opportunity for us to challenge the audience to not look away from the beauty of this experience for Salim. ‘We wanted to make it beautiful. We wanted to make it hypnotic. We wanted to create a sex-positive experience, not only for Salim but for all the men like Salim who have a corrupted sense of sexuality for whatever reason and can’t truly be their sexual selves,’ he said. Back in March, Teen Mom 2 fans were more than a little surprised to learn that Javi Marroquin was dating Madison Channing Walls . It wasn’t that Javi had moved on so quickly from his marriage to Kailyn Lowry that caught them off guard, but rather the unique set of problems raised by Walls’ checkered past. For starters, Walls is an MTV pseudo-star in her own right, having starred in a single season Real World spinoff titled Real World: Skeletons . The show focused on its cast members’ secrets, bringing them to light on national TV, which sounds like the stuff of mattress-soaking nightmares. TM2 obsessives were surprised not only that Javi would get involved with another reality star after having vocally complained about the negative effects the spotlight had on his marriage, but also that he seemed unconcerned about his new girlfriend’s particular “skeleton.” You see, Walls is a recovering heroin addict and her long history of substance abuse and petty crime were explored in-depth on Skeletons . Considering Marroquin is still gearing up for what might well be an ugly custody battle with Kailyn, many found it strange that he would involve himself with a woman who had recently endured such tremendous difficulties. Now, we know that Javi wasn’t worried about Walls’ addiction issues for the simple reason that he didn’t know about them! Yes, it’s hard to believe that in an age in which you can find out the name of your Tinder date’s first grade teacher before you even meet them, but Javi entered a relationship with a reality star without ever watching an episode of her show! Marroquin made the mind-blowing reveal during a sit-down with Teen Mom 2 after-show host, Nessa: “The biggest thing was I had a hard time reading motives and intentions, so when things started coming out in the tabloids, there were a lot of things I didn’t know about,” he explained . “I didn’t watch her season, so I guess she had a past, she overcame that past, and she didn’t tell me about.” He went on to offer some nonsense about incompatible “intentions”: “I didn’t know if her intentions were the same, as they were in the beginning, if that makes sense.” The confession is surprising for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that MTV stars aren’t usually in the habit of admitting they don’t watch other MTV shows. When Stephen Colbert began hosting his own show back in 2005, he was playing a character. The “Stephen Colbert” of The Colbert Report was a puffed-up, right-wing, bile-spewing egomaniac who embodied everything loathsome about American politics. When Colbert left both the show and the character behind to fill David Letterman’s CBS time slot back in 2014, fans worried that no one else would be able to so deftly highlight the absurdity of political extremism in 21st Century America. And it only builds up my base. It only helps me, people like him. The guy was dying.” That’s around the time when a remotely sane person would stop talking, but this id the President of the United States we’re talking about! “By the way they were going to take him off television, then he started attacking me and he started doing better. But his show was dying,” Trump went on. “I’ve done his show. … But when I did his show, which by the way was very highly rated. It was high highest rating. The highest rating he’s ever had.” Yes, apparently Donald Trump has delicate the sensibilities of a Southern belle and he just faints dead away at the utterance of the mildest profanity.
