Daughters Return Home From Store To Find Their Mother Dead A Brooklyn man is the prime suspect in a murder after he sent two young girls (pictured left) to the store while he was home alone with their mother (pictured right) and they returned to find her dead. via NY Daily News Two Brooklyn girls — given $8 by their mom’s former boyfriend to get food at a nearby chicken joint — returned to find their mother dead in a pool of blood, police sources said. The two daughters, 5 and 15, left their Brownsville apartment around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday and headed to Crown Fried Chicken around the corner, police sources said. When the girls got back 15 minutes later, they found a scene of unspeakable horror. Their mother, Sellis Gonzales, 46, was lying motionless on the floor. She was shot six times — three bullets to the head and three to the midsection, police sources said. Khadija, the older sister, called her grandmother in North Carolina to break the news. “My mother is on the floor covered in blood,” she told her grandmother, her voice shaking in hysterics. Cops late Thursday identified the ex-boyfriend as Eric McCormick, 40, and said they were searching for the suspect. The Gonzales family said McCormick is a cross-country truck driver who had abused his girlfriend in the past. “We know it was him,” snapped Ursula Gonzales. “This was not the first time he hurt her. He’s a control freak. He’s controlling and abusive.” The importance of taking heed to warning signs in an abusive relationship can never be stressed enough, especially when there are children involved. What do these older women see in these young boys ? Mother Accused Of Sex With Underage Boy It’s disturbing when a mother sexually abuses a child, but where were the child’s parents? According to The NY Daily News A 36-year-old mother stands accused of having a sexual relationship with her daughter’s ex-boyfriend. Aglaia Cloud pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to four counts third-degree child forced sex and one count of communication with a minor for immoral purposes, the News Tribune reported. The victim, who had ended a relationship with Cloud’s daughter, was confronted by his own mother about why he kept returning to the girl’s home in Lacey, Wash., court records stated. The 15-year-old then confessed that he sleeping with Cloud, 36, and claimed he was doing so because she promised to introduce him to a talent agent who could help him with his apirations to become a dancer. An aspiring singer and actress in her own right, Cloud is believed to have had sex with the boy on multiple occasions since September of 2012. The boy’s mother contacted police, who launched an investigation that netted a sex video the couple made at a Holiday Inn Express, as well as taped phone conversations that prosecutors say implicate Cloud. “There were conversations about their relationship confirming her knowledge of his age and the fact they had a sexual relationship,” Lt. Phil Comstock said. In one such taped conversation, the victim asks Cloud, “did we, or did we not have sex before I turned 16?” “Yes,” Cloud replies. After entering her plea, Cloud, who now lives outside of Washington, was released on bail, but must return for her criminal trial in December. The age of consent in Washington is 16. Another day, another hate crime . 69-Year-Old Married Man Murdered In Anti-Gay Attack Men who are secure in their manhood don’t kill other men who blow kisses. According to The NY Daily News A day laborer who allegedly says he murdered an elderly man because because he made a pass at him was blasted Tuesday as a stone-cold liar by the victim’s grieving widow. Steven Torres, 22, told detectives he stabbed Ever Orozco, 69, because he was offended during a chance encounter on a Jackson Heights street Monday afternoon, police sources said. “He (Torres) said the victim was blowing kisses to him. That’s what set him off,” a source said. Torres also claimed Orozco touched himself, sources said. But widow Alba Orozco, 64, said Torres got her husband all wrong. “He loved women,’’ she said, showing off a photo of him celebrating his 65th birthday. “This man who did this to him is a liar.” The couple met in Colombia and married 15 years ago. The retired mechanic left behind two sons, Jeffrey, 38, and Harvin, 34, from a previous marriage. Torres underwent a psychiatric exam at Elmhurst Hospital and is awaiting arraignment in Queens Criminal Court. He has no previous arrest record. The confessed killer’s claim that Orozco had greeted his glance with a come-on was met with skepticism by detectives due to the fact Torres has also taken responsibility for stabbing a co-worker whom he says blew kisses at him at a construction site in Greenwich Village on Sept. 12. So sad… Teenage Couple Dies Together In Colorado Flood Colorado residents are still sorting through the aftermath of the massive flood that swept through several areas in the state , and reports are now confirming that 2 of the 5 fatalities as a result of the storm were that of a teenage boy and his girlfriend. via NY Daily News The deadly floods in Colorado killed teenage sweethearts, the 72-year-old owner of a mountain cafe and untold others. State officials have confirmed five deaths and suspect the numbers will rise as they figure out who is safe but stranded and who is gone forever. Wesley Quinlan and Wiyanna Nelson, both 19, were swept away from friends after abandoning their car in the raging waters in Boulder County, CBS reported. “Wesley just grabbed each of us and looked in our faces and just said, ‘We have to get out of this car. There’s no way we’re not getting out of this car right now,’” friend Nathan Jennings said. Another friend, Emily Briggs, watched in horror as Nelson fell into the the current. “Wesley screamed her name and he dove into the water after her,” Briggs said. The brave teen briefly pulled his girlfriend above water, but the stream was too strong. What a terribly sad story. An Iowa family had their home vandalized and burned and based on the racial slurs the vandals used, it’s all because the family had a white mom and black dad! Via NY Daily News reports : Vandals in Iowa spray painted racist slurs on an interracial couple’s home and set it on fire, police said. Shelly Owens returned home to find the house in flames. “They wrote the ‘N-word’ all over my walls,” Owens told KETV. “This is against me, I guess, and it’s a hate crime.” Owens lived with fiance Kevin Durham and the couple’s biracial children in a diverse neighborhood in Council Bluffs. “I’m very angry,” Owens said. “I’m just fortunate that my kids were in school and that we weren’t home.” The first 911 call came in at 2:35 p.m. on Tuesday. Firefighters found the bedroom in flames and smoke poured through the rest of the house. Council Bluffs Fire Marshal Curtis McKeon told the Daily News the fire was set inside the bedroom. But despite having died in 1995, the 22-year-old has remained almost perfectly mummified, thanks to his mother’s constant love and attention. And every year on his birthday she has even given him a change of clothes – until four years ago when decay finally made the feat impossible. ‘He wanted his kid to see him that way,’ she explained. ‘I believe from that point on the kid started to love his father.’ There is also a little viewing window in the basement so family, friends and passers by can see how he’s getting on. Mrs Kvaratskhelia has learned more than a few tricks to keep her son presentable. It gets weirder. ‘One night I had a dream when a voice told me to treat Joni by rubbing alcohol so from then on I’ve being using wet sheets dipped in alcohol to preserve the body,’ she said. ‘You must not leave the body without the sheets overnight as the skin will turn black as charcoal.’ She added: ‘For 10 years I’ve been changing his clothes on his birthday. Only the past four years I was unable to do so. ‘He was a good man, a good husband, not the way he is now.’ But now Joni, whose cause of death remains unknown, is finally beginning to decompose since illness prevented Mrs Kvaratskhelia from giving him the daily care he needs. ‘I was sick lately and could not tend to his body,’ she said. ‘That had an effect on him. ‘My son is handsome. According to The NY Daily News A neighborhood crime watch leader in Texas led a double life of serial forced sex, police said. Van Dralan Dixson, 38, is accused of having forced sex with nine women in south Dallas. Cops say they matched his DNA to one of the victims. Dixson is now on the run, ditching his car in the Dallas suburb of Garland as his old neighbors live in fear. “I wouldn’t have thought it was him,” one female neighbor told CBS 11. “It’s scary to live that close to someone that’s doing that.” The attacks began on June 22 near Fair Park. The pervert picked off women walking alone in the morning dark and forced them at gunpoint into secluded areas where he robbed and had forced sex with them. It took a while for police to recognize the pattern of a serial rapist at work. The first two attacks were followed by six weeks of quiet before the creep returned, racking up victims with increasing speed. Police warned the public on Tuesday. Dixson was identified by lab results on Saturday. It’s crazy how people live double lives. The 38-year-old served as the crime watch leader for the Mill City Community Association until the day he disappeared, CBS 11 reported. Neighbors told the station they often saw Dixson walking the streets, but he was a “quiet guy that kept to himself.” Police suspected from the early going the suspect lived among his victims, because the attacks all fell within about 2 square miles. He apparently fled about the same time police identified him as a suspect, leaving his children in the care of relatives. There is now a warrant for Dixson’s arrest and a $1 million bond. Crime Stoppers and a local business put up a $15,000 reward for information leading to his capture. Police said they were still awaiting lab results on DNA they collected in the other attacks. Only cowardly men pick on women who are alone and walking in isolated areas. Somebody will be too happy to have forced sex with him in prison.
