Aaron Hernandez couldn’t be there for the Patriots season opener against the Buffalo Bills but his presence was felt nonetheless… Via NY Daily News reports : Dressed in orange jumpsuits painted with the surname “Hernandez” and the No. 81 on the backs, 10 Canadian men who identified themselves as corrections and police officers stood in Section 102 of Ralph Wilson Stadium on Sunday. They posed with Patriots and Bills fans alike, standing atop their bleacher seats in Row 15 below O.J. Simpson’s retired No. 32 marker in the team’s ring of honor. The men planned to wear the outfits to offer a Hernandez presence at the Patriots’ season opener as Hernandez, the former New England tight end, sat in his solitary cell at the Bristol County House of Correction back in Massachusetts as he awaits his murder trial. Hernandez, 23, was arrested for allegedly orchestrating the killing of Odin Lloyd, a 27-year-old landscaper who moonlighted as a linebacker on the Boston Bandits, a team in the New England Football League. Hernandez was arraigned on first-degree murder and five firearms charges in Superior Court Friday afternoon in Fall River, Mass. “He’s guilty,” Kevin Buchan said. “No two ways about it.” Hernandez was not allowed to watch the game, according to sheriff Tom Hodgson. “Absolutely not,” Hodgson said. “No way.” SMH… Do you think these guys went too far or is it an important reminder to society about all the dirt Hernandez was allowed to get away with as an NFL baller before his murderous acts finally caught up to him? The school nurse just loves ya… like a fat kid loves cake! California schools are taking early steps to keep kids from continuing to eat like chunky monkeys . Via NY Daily News reports : In an effort to combat childhood obesity, schools in California have begun sending out what have been dubbed “fat letters” to the parents of overweight children. After checking the weight of preschoolers in the San Fernando valley, registered dietician Lauren Schmitt is tasked with contacting the families of children who have already begun losing the battle of the bulge. “We look at growth charts and percentiles. And when a child is at 95 percent of their…we can look at weight for age or weight for height…that child would be considered obese,” Schmitt told KNX News. There is no shortage of kids in the LA area whose parents end up receiving a “fat letter.” Of the 900 children between the ages of two and five that she evaluates, Schmitt says approximately 200 qualify as obese. “We let the parents know in a gentle fashion, but we also send out a ton of handouts to try to help that family,” Schmitt said. California is not the only state to send “fat letters” to parents. Similar obesity information is sent in 19 other states. “It shouldn’t be a stigma. It’s not a way to categorize someone. It’s just showing that this child has increased risk to be obese as an adult, which then could lead to quite a few chronic diseases,” said Schmitt. A report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released last month found that childhood obesity rates edged down slightly last year, falling in 18 states. These kids are ages 2-5!!! That’s so young to be obese. If you got a letter like this would you be pissed or grateful someone took the time to point out the problem early?

Pennsylvania resident May Seng Yang says she first met the Oscar-nominated actor, who is now appearing in Lee Daniels’ No. 1 flick “The Butler,” when he was separated from his first wife and dining with his kids at a local pizzeria. She says things quickly turned sexual, and they continued seeing each other even after his 2010 marriage to Michelle Ghent Howard. The 40-year-old brunette beauty shared email and text messages with the Daily News backing up her claim. Michelle, 36, now has a restraining order against Terrence based on claims he “sucker punched” and choked her in a Costa Rica vacation home during a failed reconciliation in July. The ex-wife filed new court paperwork last week claiming the “Hustle & Flow” actor physically abused her in Toronto and threatened a murder-suicide with an X-Acto blade just two weeks before their divorce was finalized on May 6 in Los Angeles. SMH. Terrence has denied ever laying a finger on Michelle and said in his own court filing that her allegations are a vengeful attempt to “ruin” his career. “I believe Michelle. I’ve seen the same behavior firsthand. He’s very likable, but when he gets in a certain headspace, it’s scary,” Yang told the News Tuesday. “He didn’t have these tendencies when I first met him, but in the last five years, he’s progressed to dangerous behavior,” she said, explaining that he was devastated by his beloved mom’s 2008 cancer death and became “depressed” over the loss. “He would say he wished he could just stop breathing,” she said. Yang’s relationship with Terrence took a dark turn on May 6, 2012, when she dropped by his Pennsylvania house unannounced. She said she ran to a neighbor’s house and called 911, but when cops arrived, Terrence claimed she was the aggressor and had a visible scratch on his face. Yang denied scratching the actor but was taken into custody, she said. Attempts to reach Terrence’s lawyers were not immediately successful. It’s clear Terrence has issues. Black actors might demand big checks for work on the silver screen, but for TV, not so much… A List Of The Highest Paid Black Actors On TV Via Examiner Simon Cowell an executive producer and co-owner of “The X Factor” and “Got Talent” TV franchises, is ranked at the top of TV Guide’s list of the highest-paid TV stars of 2013. He made $95 million in the past year, according to TV Guide, which made the announcement on Aug. 20, 2013. The full list is in TV Guide’s Aug. 26 to Sept. 1, 2013 issues, which goes on sale on Aug. 22, 2013. Cowell is a judge on “The X Factor” U.S., which airs in the U.S. on Fox. According to TV Guide, Kelly Rowland (who joined “The X Factor” U.S. judging panel in 2013) is the next-highest-paid judge on the show: Her “X Factor” salary is $2.5 million per season. That’s about the same amount that TV Guide says Paula Abdul made as a judge “The X Factor” U.S. in 2011. Abdul lasted one season on the show before she was fired, along with judge Nicole Scherzinger and host Steve Jones. Although TV Guide did not report the salaries of the other two “X Factor” U.S. judges of 2013 (Demi Lovato and Paulina Rubio), the Hollywood Reporter claims that Lovato’s “X Factor” salary was doubled to slightly more than $2 million (compared to her reported $1 million “X Factor” salary in 2012), while Rubio’s “X Factor” salary in 2013 is about $1.5 million.
