NY Woman Detained In Psych Ward After Insisting She Is Employed, Followed By Obama On Twitter A woman’s insistence that President Obama follows her on Twitter landed her in a Harlem psychiatric ward for a hellish week of forced injections, sedatives, and therapy sessions meant to convince her to verbally deny that she was gainfully employed at a Queens bank. Kam Brock of Long Island faced a frightening eight-day ordeal, beginning when she was pulled over while driving through Harlem in a BMW — an activity which NYPD officers seem to have found suspicious. Via NYDN : The bizarre experience began Sept. 12, when the NYPD seized her prized 2003 BMW 325Ci in Harlem because they suspected she was high on weed, her attorney, Michael Lamonsoff, said. Cops found no marijuana but confiscated her ride anyway, he said. The NYPD declined to comment. The following day, Brock walked into the NYPD’s Public Service Area 6 stationhouse in Harlem to retrieve her car, her suit charges. “Next thing you know, the police held onto me, the doctor stuck me with a needle and I was knocked out,” Brock said, tearing up. “I woke up to them taking off my underwear and then went out again. I woke up the next day in a hospital robe.” Lamonsoff said race may have been a factor in the way Brock was treated. “How would you act if you were being told you were crazy?” he said. However, that is exactly what officials insisted. They insisted that not only was she delusional about President Obama following her on Twitter, but they doubted that she held down a job of any sort. Among the hospital’s goals of “rehabilitating” Brock, official documents in her file read: “Objective: Patient will verbalize the importance of education for employment and will state that Obama is not following her on Twitter.” “Patient’s weaknesses: inability to test reality, unemployment.” For eight days, she attended group therapy, endured injections of sedatives, and took lorazepam and lithium, medical records show, according to Lamonsoff. When she was finally let go, the doctors didn’t tell her why she was being allowed to leave, Brock said. Brock is now suing the hospital to clear the $13,637.10 bill she received upon her release, and also requesting an unspecified amount of additional damages. Jay Z’s Alleged Son Demands Apology, Additional Damages Jay Z may be conceding that the “up-and-coming rapper” that claims to be his offspring is indeed his love child. The rapper is reportedly in talks to settle the matter out of court with Rymir and his family…but apparently that’s not enough. Rymir is now also looking for a formal apology for Jay’s absence in his life. As Rymir’s former guardian Lillie Collie tells RadarOnline : “It is not about the money at all. This is about making sure that Jay Z is held responsible for the emotional damage that he has caused Rymir.” “We are not the only ones who have been fighting for this. There are a lot of people in the courts, in the legal system, and in the justice system that have gone out of their way to support this because they have compassion,” Collie adds. You have to go by what you believe is the truth and the truth in this case is undeniable. Rymir not only looks identical to Jay Z, but he really, really looks a lot like Jay Z’s mother, who is Rymir’s grandmother. Therese Serignese says Cosby drugged and raped her in 1976, and Linda Traitz alleges he tried to drug her and then sexually groped her in 1970. The latter two women joined the suit after it was filed, and together, the women all argue that Cosby has branded them as liars through his representatives. They are seeking an unspecified amount of money for compensatory and punitive damages, and perhaps just as importantly, to make their case publicly. Their lawyers have also claimed that the civil action allows the women to have their allegations heard since criminal statutes of limitation have expired. Cosby has denied wrongdoing and hasn’t been charged with a crime. He has, however, axed or postponed more than 12 shows on his comedy tour amid allegations by numerous women that he sexually abused them. His team’s statement that it will ask for the lawsuit’s dismissal came in a status update filed jointly by Cosby’s lawyers and lawyers for the three women. The sides have been in talks this month to resolve a number of issues related to the lawsuit, according to the filing, even though they have yet to settle it. Cosby’s motion to dismiss will deal with “any issues that by that time have not been resolved through conference” between the sides, says the brief. Lawyers for the accusers would have until March 20 to file a reply to the motion to dismiss. Cosby’s lawyers would then have until April 8 to respond to that. More than two dozen women have made similar claims against Cosby, although these three and Chloe Goins are among the few to pursue legal options. Dawn Steckmann, a Portland, Oregon, woman, claims she was recently fired for taking too many bathroom breaks on the job while carrying her second child. The former technician at Maxim Integrated Products is filing a gender and discrimination lawsuit against the Beaverton, Ore., cell phone chip manufacturer. She says her bosses never told her she had to clock out before using the restroom, and you won’t believe the grounds she says higher-ups used to can her: Her lawsuit claims one supervisor told her she had been fired for stealing because “not clocking out to use the restroom is stealing from the company.” While that seems crazy, she said the same boss informed her that she could’ve just as easily been “watching a movie” during bathroom breaks. According to the lawsuit, Steckmann worked at the company for 10 years, and claims she discussed this with her supervisor during her first pregnancy. In 2011, she openly said that she needed more frequent bathroom breaks and asked if she needed to clock out. Her boss told her not to bother, she says. Even before she was fired, Steckmann complained that her supervisor favored male employees, assigning the best tasks to them and using less discipline. When she told her supervisor in January 2013 she was pregnant for the second time, he “appeared unhappy with the news,” the lawsuit stated. Because of a bladder condition stemming from her first pregnancy, she needed to relieve herself even more often during her second, and more quickly. “[Steckmann’s] bladder issues were so severe that she would not even have had time to clock out to use the restroom without an accident,” the lawsuit states. According to a lawsuit she’s filing … Preston told producers, confidentially, prior to filming the season she had been an escort for about a year — and that spread like wildfire to the rest of the cast and crew. After the finale was taped — and Preston had won the grand prize — she says a casting director called and grilled her about the whole escort business. In the suit, Preston says she admitted it, but insists she was a legal escort and not a prostitute. Despite this, Preston was told she had violated her contract and could not be the winner. Preston says her pay-for-play days were well behind her when she shot the All-Star season, so therefore she did NOT break the contract. She says losing the title cost her a bunch of Vogue spreads, and a $100,000 CoverGirl deal. She’s suing producers, networks, and studios for breach of contract and says she suffered at least $3 million in damages. Why would she even admit that she was an escort? Sounds like TMI if you ask us. We’re pretty sure there is some legal mumbo-jumbo in that contract that the producers will try to lean on the validate their case.
