Is Maksim Chmerkovskiy retiring from Dancing With the Stars? He would certainly be going out on top after winning his first title this spring with Meryl Davis. Whether Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis are together or not remains a mystery, but clearly, his relationship with Davis is particularly dear to him. Samantha Harris is safe and in seemingly good spirits after undergoing a double mastectomy this week. The former Dancing with the Stars co-host, who opened up in April after her breast cancer diagnosis , Tweeted an update to fans today that included a note of gratitude for her doctors. “Made it thru grueling double mastectomy #surgery. Thanks to all of my amazing surgical team,” Harris wrote online. She also joked about her the surgical lines on her chest, referring to the scars as “art.” Harris found a lump in her right breast in a routine self-examination last fall. She has two daughters – Josselyn, 6, and Hillary, 3 – and said she and her husband struggled with how to break the news to them. “The day we found out while it was still fresh in our minds, we made a video,” Harris said. “I don’t know if we’ll end up showing it to them, but at least we have the option We send this brave star our very best. Monday evening’s Dancing with the Stars results saw NeNe Leakes eliminated, having turned in the lowest score of the seven remaining competitors. Amy Purdy, meanwhile, was hospitalized after a rumba to a slowed down rendition of “Light My Fire” by The Doors that earned 36 out of 40 points. Amy Purdy & Derek Hough – Rumba “You lit my fire! First out, first class,” Len Goodman told her, while guest judge Ricky Martin gushed, “You were stunning. You made me feel a lot of things.” Purdy felt mostly pain. She was admitted to hospital shortly after her performance with a shoulder injury and was unable to perform the group routine. The athlete’s efforts in the dress rehearsal dance was used to judge the routine, fittingly performed to “Livin La Vida Loca,” with Amy unable to participate. The team had well wishes for Purdy, who they missed during the number, but she nailed her dress rehearsal performance, which was taken into account. Her status is uncertain, but assuming she can go next week, she’s one of six contestants remaining in this retooled 18th season of the ABC smash. Amy, Charlie White, James Maslow, Danica McKellar, Candace Cameron Bure, and Meryl Davis are all that remains of this spring’s celebrity ensemble. Meryl has dominated the past two weeks with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, while Charlie and James ended up in the bottom three last night with NeNe. Lady Gaga may have sung about the paparazzi early in her career, but from now on she’ll only be serenading paps who follow her strict instructions. According to the New York Post , Gaga has started issuing demands to photo agencies , giving them exclusives in exchange for their promise to Photoshop her pics according to her specifications. Photographers at a Gaga event last week were reportedly told to “smooth out her jaw line and thin her arms” as well as “smooth out and thin her legs.” So much for “born this way!” Some photographers and event planners are getting fed up, with one coordinator anonymously describing Gaga as a “control freak.” Others don’t seem to mind the demands and are likely grateful for the exclusives. Kevin Mazur – a photographer who gained sole rights to photograph Gaga’s final show at the Roseland Ballroom – says similar demands aren’t all that uncommon. “It’s like any other artist I work with and it’s very minimal because we want to get the photos out there right away,” said Mazur. “She caters to the paparazzi like no other artist I’ve seen.” Sounds like someone wants to keep getting those exclusives! But not every celebrity shares Gaga’s view on photo enhancement. Recently, singer Lorde called out a Photoshopped image of herself and tweeted it, along with this message to her fans: “Be proud of who you are… flaws and all.” Words to live by, and clearly not ones that a lot of people out there take to heart, whether it’s celebrity gossip sites or huge companies selling products. Candace Cameron Bure may be new to the world of competitive dancing, but it seems she has plenty of practice with the horizontal mambo, if ya know what we mean. The former Full House actress and new Dancing With the Stars contestant has opened up about her faith and family life and it seems nearly two decades of marriage haven’t slowed her down in the bedroom. “I am a sexual woman,” Cameron said recently when asked about her sensual dance moves.
