Just a day after the staggering Rihanna and Chris Brown breakup , the former shook off any blues she might have been feeling with an “epic” night in L.A. After pre-gaming at the Clippers-Lakers game, the newly single singer stepped out with some of her dancers to Greystone Manor in West Hollywood. “Evidence of an epic night!!! #wokeupinmyTomFordes,” Ri-Ri posted on Instagram with a sexy photo of her leg in bed, still wearing her designer heels. A source tells E! News that the Barbados-born beauty hung out by the DJ booth, drank tequila and danced to the music (including some of her own hits). Also at the club? Her ex Matt Kemp, the Dodgers’ All-Star center fielder, L.A. Clippers star Chris Paul and NFL / DWTS standout Jacoby Jones. Witnesses say that there was no interaction between Rihanna and Kemp. So, either that was one epic hour, or the party continued elsewhere. More likely the latter in Rih’s case. Girl has been known to tie one on. Like a lot. As for Chris Brown, his alleged paramour Keisha Kimball says there is NOTHING going on there and that the split was not caused by anyone’s cheating. Glenn Beck’s biggest nightmare has come true. The former Fox News host blasted MSNBC on his radio show yesterday, taking the network to task for a promo that features Melissa Harris-Perry telling viewers that “kids belong to whole communities,” not just their parents. Watch the ad in question now: MSNBC Promo: Your Kids Belong To Us “It’s almost a parody of reality,” Beck said of the spot. “It is so far beyond what we have ever thought as a nation, it’s remarkable.” Beck didn’t stop there, of course. He connected the clip with far larger issues plaguing society, things he has “warned” folks about for years. “I think that there’s a good 20 to 30% of America, maybe even higher now… [that] will gladly have the State take that over so they don’t have to worry about it,” he ranted. “Yet another one of your responsibilities taken from you – I’m sorry. Another one of your responsibilities that you will gladly hand over because you don’t know what to do. And so they will do it for you: Don’t worry! We’ll raise your kids. We’ll train your kids. We’ll educate your kids because it’s working out so well.” We sense some sarcasm from the pundit at the end there. An Argentine man who bought a pair of poodles at an outdoor market took them to his local vet only to be told that they were actually ferrets on steroids. Seriously. This actually happened. The vet said the ferrets “had been given steroids at birth to increase their size and then had some extra grooming to make their coats resemble a fluffy toy poodle.” He paid $150 per poodle too. Ripoff. Another woman interviewed by a Buenos Aires TV station claims she got a roid-raging ferret instead of what she thought was a chihuahua at the same place. A high-ranking Democratic New York State senator was arrested today for trying to buy a place on the ticket in the next New York City mayoral race. Five other politicians, three Republicans and two Democrats, were also busted and charged with collectively accepting more than $100,000 in bribes. Authorities described the scheme – one of New York’s biggest in years – as an attempt to game the city ‘s first wide-open mayoral election in a decade. New York City will choose a new mayor in November, just before Michael Bloomberg, who took office in 2001, ends his third and final term as Hizzoner. The charges center on State Senator Malcolm Smith (D-Queens) who prosecutors said made payments to a city councilman to set up meetings. In those meetings, he allegedly tried to convince top New York Republicans to assist in getting him on the mayoral ballot in this November’s election. Smith and the councilman, Daniel Halloran, a Republican from Queens, were among the six politicians arrested in connection to the bribery scandal. Charges against them include bribery, extortion, and wire and mail fraud. “From time to time the question arises, how common is corruption in New York?” said Manhattan U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara at a press conference. “Based on the cases we continue to bring, it seems downright pervasive.” Authorities arrested four other politicians: Queens County Republican Party Vice Chairman Vincent Tabone (R) Bronx County Republican Party Chairman Joseph Savino (R) Spring Valley Mayor Noramie Jasmin (D) Spring Valley Deputy Mayor Joseph Desmaret (D) Smith’s lawyer, Gerald Shargel, said only that “Malcolm Smith is a dedicated public servant who has served his constituents in an exemplary fashion.” Representatives of the other five officials all either declined to comment or did not respond to phone calls on Tuesday morning after their arrests.
