Bristol Palin somehow advanced to the finals on Dancing With the Stars . Only Jennifer Grey and Kyle Massey stand between Bristol and the Mirror Ball. He said, she said. She also recorded … a lot. Oksana Grigorieva went on Larry King to describe how Mel Gibson is insane . His lawyers contend she doctored pics and her abuse allegations are lies. Ryan Reynolds was named the Sexiest Man Alive . Michael Jackson and Akon released a new single. What caused the breakup of Miley’s family ? This has to be the best safe sex PSA ever. Chris Brown is awesome at probation . T.I. is sick of jail ! Congratulations to the future Mr. and Mrs. Jessica Simpson! Jessica Simpson is engaged to Eric Johnson! Dean Sheremet and Sarah Silver are engaged! So are Chuck Liddell and Heidi Northcott! Woo! Chad Ochocinco proposed to Evelyn Lozada ! Greg Norman and Kirsten Kunter got married! Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt renewed their vows. Nicole Richie and Joel Madden may wed soon. Britney Spears’ parents, Jamie and Lynn, reconciled. Robsten is getting married (in Breaking Dawn )!!! Brown/ Getty Images Like her mother, Bristol Palin has become a divisive figure for American voters. Although, for the younger Palin, it’s not her political views, but her footwork on “Dancing With the Stars” that has riled up viewers casting their ballots for who will take the crown on the ABC hit. The family has also come under increased scrutiny after the TLC show “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” hit airwaves, and the criticism caused Bristol and another Palin lady to sound off against critics. Bristol’s younger sister Willow lobbed an anti-gay slur at a Facebook user who trashed the reality-show premiere Sunday night, writing , “Tre stfu. Your such a f—-t.” Bristol also jumped in the fray with, “You’re running your mouth just to talk sh–” Days later, however, Bristol took to her Facebook page to apologize for the volley of e-barbs. “Willow and I shouldn’t have reacted to negative comments about our family. We apologize,” read a message posted on her page Wednesday. “On a nicer note, thank you for supporting the great competition in ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ ” Hours after the contrite missive was released, the ballroom-dance novice, whose prolonged stay on “Dancing” has become a heated topic of debate among watchers, rallied her fans and blasted her detractors. “Thank you supporters who continue to support,” she wrote. “The haters are already pulling out all the stops this week to destroy.” As one of the final three celebrities vying for the “Dancing” title, Bristol will hoof it alongside Disney star Kyle Massey and “Dirty Dancing” actress Jennifer Grey, who turned in two perfect-scoring performances on Monday. Although Bristol earned a 53/60 score , the judges conceded the 20-year-old single mom has grown a significant amount over the season. “I still think you’ve come so far,” judge Carrie Ann Inaba said. Bristol Palin was as shocked as anyone that she made the Dancing with the Stars finals, but that doesn’t mean she feels she’s undeserving of her spot. “I’m thrilled! It hasn’t fully sunk in for me,” she told Us Weekly after Tuesday’s results show. “I know we’re in the finals, but it doesn’t seem real yet.” She knows that her final-three status is controversial, especially after this week’s elimination of Brandy , but Bristol said she’s not hurt by the skeptics. Could Bristol Palin actually WIN Dancing With the Stars? “I know I’ve worked hard to get where I am,” she said. “I definitely feel like I’m the most improved dancer on this show, so I’m comfortable with that.” Her pro partner Mark Ballas added that DWTS has a long history of “shocking” results, citing Sabrina Bryan, Joanna Krupa, Jennie Garth and Mel B. Still, her moves are so mediocre, it’s even harder to take her seriously on the dance floor than in the Bristol Palin-Situation PSA . What do you think? A frontrunner from day one, Brandy was stunned at her elimination from Dancing With the Stars last night. So was everyone else, including her competition. The singer and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are the latest casualty of Bristol Palin’s absurd run to the finals. When Brandy said “I’m in a lot of shock,” she wasn’t alone. Said Jennifer Grey of her toughest adversary this fall, “Brandy’s just been amazing. She’s done such a beautiful job each week, she’s such an amazing dancer.” Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Brandy deserved better after this week . “I was shocked, but this show is so unpredictable,” added Lacey Schwimmer, who earned the third finals spot along with her underrated partner Kyle Massey. “We are going to miss Brandy so much because she’s a great friend and such a big supporter. But we’re happy for Bristol because she’s great, too. So sweet!” Brandy may be shocked, but she’s saying all the right things … “I’m just so thankful to Maks,” she said of her partner, with whom she reportedly sparred at times this season. “He taught me how to dance with confidence.” “I’m very blessed to have be a part of something so amazing, where I can rediscover who I am and prove that if I commit to something, I can be success.” Maks, whose lack of Palin love is no secret, shared it with Brandy: “I’m so very proud of Brandy. It’s been amazing, and I really have a lot to thank her for.” The voters? That’s another story. Talk about a slap in the face. Bristol’s dancing has been about as convincing as her abstinence PSA with The Situation . We can see her getting more votes than Kurt Warner or Rick Fox, or maybe even Audrina Patridge. But Brandy and Jen were the best two, hands down. You tell us: Does Bristol Palin deserve to be in the finals?

Proving that truth really is stranger than fiction, The Situation and Bristol Palin have teamed up for a safe sex PSA on behalf of the Candie’s Foundation. It goes without saying that Bristol Palin is only famous for getting pregnant as a teenager, and The Situation for railing dozens of girls on Jersey Shore . One might say this makes them odd spokespersons for abstinence and/or safe sex, but on the flip side, they have experience with babies and STDs, so … The Situation and Bristol: Sex Talkin’ PSA These two, of course, met on the set of Dancing With the Stars this season. Sitch was ousted early, while Bristol has somehow advanced to the finals . Overall, as absurd as this is, and despite the annoyance of hearing the word “situation” used 18 times in two minutes, it beats Willow Palin’s Facebook rant . That’s all.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy may be surly, blunt, critical and not politically correct, but it’s just because he’s a serious competitor who wants to win. Period. Despite being demonstrably outclassed by the field week in and week out, Bristol Palin is still waltzing and spinning. Which has Maks’ head spinning. The fact that Bristol the Pistol is even in the top four on Dancing With the Stars has reportedly rankled Chmerkovskiy, who’s partnered with Brandy. Bristol Palin’s surprisingly long stint on Dancing With the Stars has captivated millions. Do not court Maksim Chmerkovskiy among those millions . “Maksim is very emotional and takes this show very seriously, if you haven’t already seen. He really wants to win,” a source says of the Ukrainian pro. “He works extremely hard and finds it depressing when people he thinks aren’t worthy of their current position get further then they possibly should.” He and Brandy are both so competitive and hungry, tensions often rise between them – and they’re allies. Imagine how he feels about Bristol Palin . While acknowledging some bad blood, a source says not to look into the grudge too much: “To say he simply doesn’t like her might be a little much.” “He is more not liking the whole situation of potentially losing to someone who he believes has significantly less talent than himself and Brandy.” What do you think? Dancing With the Stars Recap: Jennifer Grey is Perfect!

Jennifer Grey certainly made a statement last night. With just one night remaining before the finals, and voters paying scant attention to scores for several weeks now, there is no margin for error. Everyone is at risk. Well, everyone but her. The way she and Derek Hough danced Monday, the other three pairs are tangoing for second. A perfect 30 once? Amazing. Twice? Unheard of. HAND HER THE MIRRORBALL : Hopefully next week, the voters will . The 90-minute program was probably the most entertaining of the season so far, as all the couples stepped up their game, including Bristol Palin , who wasn’t terrible. Not that she deserves to make the finals over Jennifer, Brandy or Kyle Massey. Each outperformed Bristol, predictably, last night as they have for the final month. Let’s break it down by couple. Regaining sole ownership of the top of the charts were Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough, whose efforts were pure perfection. Their first dance was the cha cha, set to Duffy’s “Mercy,” and when Bruno calls it “luminous, vibrant, sexy” and flawless execution, well, you knew 30 was comin’. Amazingly, it got better. An elegant routine that was pure dance, their waltz was a gem. Carrie Ann called it “one of the most beautiful things ever.” Apparently. 30 . Flying under the radar much of the fall, Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer showed why they’ve lasted so long with a fun-loving rumble of a samba. Good for 29 . How can you not love this guy and the infectious energy he brings week in and week out? The couple brought it a second time in their tango, scoring another 29 . Brandy started things off with a bold paso doble, which she compared to coming into one’s own, a la Katy Perry’s “Firework.” Imperfect but solid, it netted her a 27 . Their tango, however, had no such imperfections. Awarding her 30 , the judges called it “lush” “voluptuous” and “full of flavor,” with marvelous body extension. Finally, Bristol Palin. Despite our conspiracy theory about why she’s still on the show, she did pull off a pretty fierce paso doble with Mark Ballas, earning a nice 27 . Her waltz, unfortunately, fell just a little bit short. It was far from bad, don’t get us wrong, but she needed to be nearly perfect to compete and wasn’t with a 26 . The Dancing With the Stars scores: Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough: 60 (30, 30). Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer: 58 (29, 29). Brandy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: 57 (30, 27). Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas: 53 (27, 26). Well, how do you see it playing out tonight? Can Bristol do the impossible and make the finals ?
