Juvenile Arrested For Marijuana Possession In Louisiana

Rapper was pulled over for speeding on Saturday. By Shawn Adler Juvenile Photo: Gershoff/ Getty Images Rapper Terius Gray, better known as Juvenile, was arrested on Saturday night in Louisiana for marijuana possession and driving with a suspended license, according to The Associated Press. The former member of the Hot Boys was reportedly pulled over for going 75 mph in a 65 mph zone. Subsequent to his arrest, Juvenile was released after posting a $750 bond. He has a court date on April 1. The arrest is the latest in a string of legal troubles for the “Drop That Thang” MC, who was arrested twice before on drug charges, once in January 2003 and again in February 2010, both times in Louisiana. Juvenile was also arrested in summer 2002 for assaulting his barber. Juvenile was the focus of unwanted attention in the aftermath of the sudden and violent deaths of his 4-year-old daughter, the girl’s mother, Joy Deleston, and another child at the hands of Deleston’s then 17-year-old son Anthony Tyrone Terrell Jr. in 2008. The rapper was criticized for choosing not to attend his daughter’s funeral. “You don’t get over things like that. That’s something that goes with you for the rest of your life I’m not even comfortable talking about it. I stayed away from the press, everybody had a million questions,” Juvenile said of his daughter’s death in a 2009 interview. “I’m not even comfortable talking about it.” Related Artists Juvenile

‘Breaking Dawn’ Star Talks Bella’s Bridal Gown, Vampire Makeover

Billy Burke, a.k.a. Dad Charlie Swan, tells MTV News he’s mostly ‘oblivious to everything that’s going on with vampires’ on set. By Kara Warner Billy Burke Photo: MTV News It’s been awhile now since we’ve had any updates from the castmembers of the highly anticipated “Breaking Dawn” two-part finale. Thus far this year, there have been steamy bedroom photos , talk of Kristen Stewart’s impressive transformation into a vampire and Peter Facinelli’s thoughts on an epic vampire-on-vampire battle scene at the end of Part 2. When MTV News caught up with “Breaking Dawn” supporting player Billy Burke recently, he reluctantly gave us the vaguest of answers when we asked about his favorite filming moment so far. “We are having a lot of fun,” Burke said while doing press for his upcoming violent thriller “Drive Angry.” “We’re in the midst of that now.” Burke, who plays the (mostly) blissfully ignorant father Charlie to Kristen Stewart’s Bella, said his character is up to the same old tricks in the final two “Twilight” films. “I go back in about a week to continue my job in that movie,” he said. “Which is being oblivious to everything that’s going on with vampires and werewolves.” Those familiar with the vampire films will agree that this is a fair and accurate assessment of his character’s story line. Still, we assumed that surely Burke has been privy to a few fun details, so we asked whether his character, Charlie Swan, finds out that his daughter has become a vampire in “Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” “In the first part? No,” Burke revealed. “That’s no secret, [for] those who have read the books,” he explained. What about Bella’s wedding dress? Has he seen that yet? “No,” Burke said with finality, declining to divulge any more “Dawn” details. You Can’t Be Serious: Man Names His Daughter “Facebook”

Surprisingly, this is not “White Folks News.” A man in Egypt has named his newborn daughter “Facebook” in honor of the role the social media network played in bringing about a revolution, according to a new report. Gamal Ibrahim, a 20-something, gave his daughter the name “to express his joy at the achievements made by the January 25 youth,” according to a report in Al-Ahram, one of Egypt’s most popular newspapers. Many young people used Facebook and other social media networks to organize the protests, which began January 25 and ultimately led to the ouster of President Hosni Mubarak after 30 years in power. Yeah, we hear you on the symbolism and such. But c’mon, son! Source

Miley Cyrus Wins Inspirational Award

In case you need proof of just how polarizing a figure Miley Cyrus can be, consider: An AOL poll named the singer/actress the Worst Celebrity Influence on the planet two years in a row. Over the weekend, however, Cyrus received the first ever Global Action Youth Leadership Award at a gala in Los Angeles. Said Cyrus on stage, after being handed the award by Hilary Duff: “I want [kids] to do something they love. Not something that seems like a chore because someone tells them that’s the right thing to do or what their parents want or what’s important to people around them, but what’s in their heart.” It’s been a trying few days for Miley, as sources say she’s angry at her father for bashing Hannah Montana and openly stating that Satan is attacking his family, as evidenced by his daughter’s recent actions.

No Sh*t Sherlock: Dina Lohan Reveals That Lindsay Has A Problem with Addiction

Ummmm…we thought the entire world already knew that Lindsay Lohan struggled with addiction: Dina Lohan embarked on a media blitz on Friday, opening up in a series of interviews about daughter Lindsay Lohan and what she says is her daughter’s “lifelong struggle with addiction.” Despite her continual legal issues, Dina feels that her 24-year-old daughter has turned a corner in her life. “Betty Ford was life changing for all of us. I mean, I’ve put her in a couple of rehabs over the years, and, you know, it’s not about the rehab, it’s about where she is personally in her sobriety and her growth. She’s matured considerably,” Dina told George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Friday. Dina revealed that she’s uncertain how Lindsay will fare against her felony grand theft charge, where she’s accused of stealing a necklace from a jewelry store. “I’m not convinced about anything because the system is the system. I’m a firm believer in the system, but anything can happen, especially in [Hollywood],” she said. In a separate interview with Chris Cuomo on “20/20,” airing Friday night, Dina said Lindsay is facing “a lifelong struggle with addiction,” but she believes her daughter no longer drinks. “I think she’s gonna be OK,” she said in the interview airing Friday at 10 PM on ABC. “She’s a young girl struggling. You know, she’s not perfect. … She’s learning as she goes, but she’s learning under a microscope, so I can’t even imagine how that is.” According to Dina, Lindsay’s problems began in 2004 when she moved to Los Angeles. “I knew early on, I just didn’t tell anyone about it. It was a personal situation,” she continued. “I saw it visually, what was happening. You know, I’m around my children. I was around Lindsay a lot, and I saw what was happening. I grabbed the bull by the horns and tried to get her help immediately.” Adding, “I never thought it would be this — the media would be so crazy. I really never thought it would get to this level. It’s been really hard on my family, harder than anything.” Source

Liam Neeson As Hollywood’s Newest Badass: ‘Unknown’ Co-Stars Explain

Diane Kruger and January Jones say actor’s ‘body of work and gravitas as an actor’ add a new layer to action films. By Shawn Adler, with reporting by Kara Warner Diane Kruger and January Jones Photo: MTV News He may have broken in with roles in sword-and-sorcery flicks like “Excalibur” and “Krull,” but how in the world did the Oscar-nominated man best known for his quiet, dramatic work in films like “Schindler’s List,” “Nell” and “Kinsey” suddenly become film’s most believable, in-demand 60-year-old badass? It’s precisely because of his previous work, “Unknown” co-stars Diane Kruger and January Jones insisted to MTV News. “I wanted to be in this movie because of Liam really,” Kruger said. “Especially this kind of film. … I think because of his age and because of his body of work and his gravitas as an actor, I think it brings a whole other layer of depth to this kind of film. It feels fresh. It feels like, yes, it’s entertaining and it’s light, but there’s a whole other layer of emotions and character work going on.” Two years after Neeson rocked audiences as a super-talented assassin out to save his daughter in “Taken,” the Irish thesp is back to kick butt and take names in “Unknown,” a neo-Hitchcockian thriller about a man bereft of an identity after a car accident leaves him unsure of who he really is. While unquestionably dangerous and capable, here Neeson also has to play fragile and flustered. It’s a dichotomy that doesn’t just show up in his film roles, January Jones argued, but in the man himself. “He’s such a perfect casting choice for this movie, because you could be intimidated by him physically because he is fit and could cause you harm,” the future Emma Frost told MTV News. “But at the same time there’s something so vulnerable about him in certain things he says and certain things he does that makes you want to take care of him, there’s both sides of that. You could believe that he could be a bad guy, but you could also want him to succeed.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Unknown.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .

Liam Neeson’s ‘Unknown’: The Reviews Are In!

Critics give high marks to Neeson, but are divided on neo-Hitchcockian thriller. By Shawn Adler January Jones and Liam Neeson in “Unknown” Photo: Warner Bros. With apologies to the groundhog, Liam Neeson is quickly becoming February’s biggest star. Two years after the action-thriller “Taken” made him perhaps Hollywood’s unlikeliest action star, the Oscar-nominated man who played Oskar Schindler is back to kick butt and take names in “Unknown,” a neo-Hitchcockian thriller about a man who awakens after a car accident to discover the life he thought he had has been taken away, possibly just an after-effect of amnesia. Is the movie itself worth forgetting? Here’s what the critics are saying: The Twist “As much as ‘Unknown’ tries to be an intelligent thriller for grown-ups, the premise is pretty silly and normally, when that’s the case, you know it’s going to lead to an equally silly twist. Dark Castle regular Jaume Collet-Serra’s previous movie ‘Orphan’ had one of the funniest twist endings possibly ever, though this doesn’t quite achieve that extreme of insanity because the plot is so based in thriller clich
