Grow A Pair: Billy Ray Cyrus Whimpers About Not Having Any Control Of His Fast-Azz Daughter!

What type of man does an interview about “losing” his daughter?? You better get out there and snatch her lil a** up! Billy Ray Cyrus hasn’t spoken to Miley since her bong rips. “There’s no doubt” his family is under attack from Satan. LiLo spent Valentine’s Day with SamRo. January Jones only feels safe when photographers are near. Tuesday gossip sins. In a trainwreck interview with GQ, Billy Ray Cyrus says “there’s no doubt” that his family is under attack from Satan. The devil’s instrument of torture: Hannah Montana. “I’ll tell you right now, that damn show destroyed my family.” Before the Cyruses moved to L.A., they had a group baptism in Tennessee. But the devil attacked as soon as his brood arrived at the Los Angeles city limits, when Miley pointed to a sign: ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY: ATHEISTS UNITED. “A physical sign. It could have easily said ‘You will now be attacked by Satan. Entering this industry, you are now on the highway to darkness.’” Apparently Billy Ray hasn’t spoken to Miley since her bong-ripping video surfaced: “I’m scared for her. She’s got a lot of people around her that’s putting her in a great deal of danger.” He compares Miley to Kurt Cobain, Michael Jackson, and Anna Nicole Smith, then concludes, “I should have been a better parent. I should have said, ‘Enough is enough, it’s getting dangerous and somebody’s going to get hurt.’” If the Cyrus family erupts into a feud, it could be the bloodiest Hollywood has ever seen, equal parts Spears, Lohan, and Southern Baptist tent revival. [GQ,] Stop with your “Achy Breaky” bullsh*t and go grab that lil b*tch out the streets and sit her a** down somewhere! Source

‘Justin Bieber: Never Say Never’ Director’s Cut Could Hit Theaters Soon

Jon M. Chu said to be working on version with new footage that may be released in theaters this month. By Eric Ditzian Justin Bieber in “Never Say Never” Photo: Paramount With a running time of one hour and 45 minutes, Justin Bieber’s “Never Say Never” packs in 3-D concert footage, home videos, behind-the-scenes looks, interviews with everyone from Snoop Dogg to the pop star’s vocal coach and extended, slow-motion shots of the 16-year-old shaking out his famous locks. Perhaps, however, you didn’t get your fill of the kid — perhaps your Bieber Fever rages on. In which case, you might be in luck. New York magazine’s Vulture blog reports that Paramount Pictures is making plans for a director’s cut of the film, following its $29.5 million opening this past weekend. Director Jon M. Chu is said to be working on an updated version of the movie, including new live performances, footage of Bieber at the “Never Say Never” premiere and various advance screenings, and potentially scenes shot at the Grammy Awards on Sunday. The studio is reportedly waiting for delivery of the re-cut film before deciding if it will be released in theaters late in February or as part of a special DVD. MTV News’ request for comment to Paramount (which, like MTV News, is owned by Viacom) was not returned as of press time. Box-office grosses for the concert film are likely to decline in the coming weeks, following Bieber fans’ initial pilgrimage to multiplexes during opening weekend, and the re-cut film could dramatically boost its B.O. bottom line. If the new version does hit theaters, it will likely be as a 3-D-only release, as the cost of releasing digital prints is significantly less than printing and shipping film prints. A final decision on a release will be made once Chu finishes the cut after returning from international premieres in London and Paris. Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ Rockets Up Billboard Charts

Instant-smash single is poised to debut at #1 on Hot 100. By Gil Kaufman Lady Gaga Photo: Kevin Winter/Getty Images Who didn’t see this one coming? Thanks to the pushed-up release date on Friday and the most talked-about entrance at Sunday night’s Grammys — not to mention what must have amounted to endless spins at clubs over the weekend — Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” is making some chart history. Billboard reported that after just three days of availability, the tune shot to a record-setting debut on the Pop Songs radio airplay chart at #14 and is poised to possibly debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week thanks to brisk digital sales. The first single from the album of the same name due on May 23 got 4,602 plays, which gives it the highest detections total by a debuting song in the chart’s 18-year history, representing an audience of 39.3 million. Citing unnamed sources, the magazine also reported that “Born” sold more than 450,000 downloads since its release on Friday morning, which could help the song debut at #1 on the Hot 100 and make it only the 19th song ever to do so on that chart. Gaga could also potentially wrest a record for the biggest debut track for a woman from Britney Spears if download sales continue to climb. Spears’ “Hold it Against Me” rocked the chart a month ago with 411,000 in sales, but if Gaga’s numbers hold she could land the fourth-largest digital track debut of all time behind Flo Rida’s “Right Round,” (636,000) the Black Eyed Peas’ “Boom Boom Pow” (465,000) and Flo Rida’s “Low” (460,000). The star stopped by “Jay Leno” the day after the Grammys, and in addition to explaining that she and Madonna have no beef over complaints by some that “Born This Way” bears too much of a resemblance to some earlier Material Girl hits, Gaga also announced her upcoming May HBO special and explained the inspiration behind her new album. She also revealed that she changed up the entire look of her Grammy performance two days before it aired because she wasn’t happy with it. “I don’t want the band and dancers to feel like a band and dancers,” Gaga said, explaining why her crew was dressed in flesh-tone vinyl outfits that matched her own. When Leno made a crack about her trio of Grammy outfits, which included a molded leather bodice created by fashion icon Thierry Mugler, Gaga said the latter had a cosmic inspiration. “It was inspired by humanoids, alien sex humanoid hybrid women,” she said matter of factly, rocking some of the low budget sci-fi alien face-ridged makeup she debuted at the Grammys, on Leno’s show. The talk show host pointed to her third getup, which she said featured a giant black “church” hat, and asked if maybe it didn’t block the view of the star behind her at the show, actor Will Smith. Gaga promised it didn’t and added that she is in love with his daughter’s hit single. “I love Willow,” gushed Gaga , who took a series of photos with the pre-teen Smith family singer on her lap at the show. “I told her that she inspired me to whip my hair back and forth!” Though she claimed to have written “Born This Way” in a matter of minutes, Gaga said she spent more than a year perfecting it and tweaking the music, promising that it is just one of the many sounds you’ll hear on the album. “The record is kind of eclectic in a way,” she said. “The rest of the songs on the album are quite different from ‘Born This Way.’ ” As for the album’s theme, Gaga said it’s about “being able to know that when you were born, you weren’t just born in that moment, you have your entire life to realize the person that you’re potentially going to become and whoever you choose to be was part of your destiny.” Her hope, she said, was to encourage people who are feeling bullied or disenfranchised at the moment to realize that it’s “never too late to harness your inner superstar.” For more Grammy Awards analysis, interviews, fashion and more, stick with MTV News! Justin Bieber’s fans banned from school after tribute T-shirts are branded ‘gang related’

By AMY WEBBER Hopelessly devoted: Justin Bieber fans’ prove they are of the die-hard variety [file picture] They had spent painstaking hours making tribute T-shirts to teen idol Justin Bieber. But a group of young girls were sent home from school this week after their outfits were branded ‘gang related’. The four teenagers had worn them to school on Friday before heading to the theatre to see Bieber’s new film, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. When the girls showed up at school in their black T-shirts painted with ‘Bieber Crew’ security guards on duty and school officials judged the shirts to be ‘gang related’. They were given the option of either taking the shirts off or turning them inside out. The students of Roosevelt High School in Yonkers, New York, revealed to the website TMZ that they ‘were threatened with suspension.’ The homemade T-shirts were not viewed as a Bieber fanwear by the school and the principal called a meeting with the girls, their parents and the security guards. One of the girl’s parents said the principal informed the group that: ‘The T-shirts were inappropriate for school because they were gang related.’ The principal went on to say that if any of the girls were seen wearing their Bieber tees at school again the offence would result in suspension. Golden Boy: Justin Bieber’s new film, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, is poised to take the number one spot at the U.S. box office this weekend The parent’s seem to be none too happy with the school’s ‘over the top reaction’ to their daughter’s choice in clothing with one parent fuming: ‘It’s ridiculous. They are good kids who love Justin Bieber.’ Roosevelt High School is defending their stance with a representative for the school stating: ‘The students were not banned from wearing shirts displaying the image of Justin Bieber.’ The representative for the high school also says the girls are exaggerating the harshness with which they were disciplined insisting: ‘Nor were they accused of being in a gang.’ Bieber’s new film, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, arrived in theatres just in time for Valentine’s Day opening Friday across the U.S. and has already earned more than $12 million dollars. The documentary-style film tells the story of Justin Bieber, 16, from a young boy with a musical inclination through his metamorphosis to becoming the biggest teen heart throb in the world. Moms identify with Bieber Fever – www.roanoke.com

Hannah Caldwell, 7, attended a Saturday showing of “Never Say Never” with her mother, Heather Caldwell , who recalled her obsession with New Kids on the Block in her youth. Girls’ cellphones sport Justin Bieber ringtones and wallpaper. Photos by SAM DEAN The Roanoke TimesFriends Jamie Dyer, 12 (left), and Sadi Gilbert, 11, spent Saturday morning preparing to see “Never Say Never.” They painted their faces, donned Justin Bieber shirts and made sure that their cellphones had Bieber ringtones. It’s about midday Saturday at the Valley View Grande cinema in Roanoke, where pop singer Justin Bieber’s concert documentary “Never Say Never” is showing in two formats — standard and 3-D. There are several Bieber-smitten girls. But there is no caterwauling and there’s no ticket line. This is a movie, after all, not a concert. Clearly, Jamie Dyer, 12, and friend Sadi Gilbert, 11, happily suffer from Bieber Fever. They wear Bieber trinkets. Words of tribute, penned with a black marker, adorn their cheeks. They hop up and down discussing the boy who became a sensation first on YouTube. “I like his hair,” Sadi said. (The New York Times described it as “famously floppy.”) “And he’s really nice and sweet and he likes his fans.” Brenda Dyer , Jamie’s mother, recalls her own youthful crushes. “ Donny Osmond . He was my first love,” Dyer said. “And David Cassidy. He was my first concert.” She and other mothers escort daughters. Boys are scarce, Jamie admits. “Some of them say they don’t like him, but some of them really do,” she said. Heather Caldwell brought her daughter Hannah, 7, who sports a Bieber T-shirt. “She’s got the posters,” Caldwell said. “She wants the whole bedroom set.” Hannah’s been a fan, Caldwell said, “ever since that ‘baby, baby, baby’ song came out.” She understands her daughter’s crush because she once swooned over New Kids On The Block. “I get it,” Caldwell said. ‘Glee’ Creator Ryan Murphy Being Eyed To Direct ‘Annie’ Remake

Murphy is being courted by producer Will Smith and Sony Pictures to helm the reboot of the movie musical, according to Dealine.com. By Terri Schwartz Ryan Murphy Photo: Bryan Bedder/ Getty Images With Will Smith looking to launch daughter Willow’s film career with a remake of “Annie,” it only makes sense that he would turn to the man who helped repopularize the musical genre for the American audience to help him. Enter “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy, who Deadline.com reports is in negotiations to direct the project. In addition to his work with “Glee,” Murphy is as highly regarded at Sony Pictures — the studio that’s overseeing the “Annie” remake — as Smith is, which is likely what helped him land the gig. He directed this past summer’s Julia Roberts drama “Eat, Pray, Love” for Sony and the studio was so impressed with him that they signed a $5 million deal for him to direct another picture with the movie star. And Murphy’s success with songs from musicals like “Rocky Horror Picture Show” and “Wicked” has led him to be courted to helm film versions of those productions as well. Smith developed “The Karate Kid” with Sony as a star vehicle for his son Jaden and its release last summer was considered a success. He followed up that ’80s remake with the concept to do a new “Annie” flick with his daughter in the leading role. Though she has not had significant acting parts before (unlike Jaden, who made prominent appearances in “The Pursuit of Happyness” and “The Day the Earth Stood Still”), the 9-year-old has found success as a singer with her pop hit “Whip My Hair.” Negotiations with Murphy reportedly are still in their early stages, but it is clear that Smith and Sony are trying to get the film under way as quickly as possible. The idea for the “Annie” project was only announced last month, but if Murphy does come on board, don’t be surprised if you hear the “Glee” kids singing “It’s a Hard Knock Life” in the near future. Do you think Ryan Murphy is a good choice to direct a new “Annie” movie? Share your opinion in the comments.
