There were not many surprises at the 90th annual Academy Awards on Sunday night . As expected, The Shape of Water won Best Picture and Frances McDormand won Best Actress, for example. But the real action took place ahead of the annual show, as E! decided to let Ryan Seacrest interview celebrities on the red carpet… … despite some sexual harassment allegations having been leveled against the omnipresent host. (A former stylist claims Seacrest made inappropriate remarks at her and took inappropriate actions with her, such as pushing her head toward his crotch at one point.) Seacrest did not land nearly as many pre-Oscars interviews as normal, with many stars shunning him on the red carpet out of respect for the #MeToo movement. But Taraji P. Henson did choose to speak to Seacrest. And she also chose to destroy him on live television. After being asked a question by Seacrest, Henson smirked at the possibly shady man in front of her and replied: “The universe has a way of taking care of taking care of good people,” she said, as she touched the E! host on the chin. “You know what I mean?” Seacrest said that he agreed, while social media unanimously agreed that Henson had just completely torched Seacrest on his very own show. A few users pointed to Henson giving Seacrest a hug after the interview as proof that they are no hard feelings. And Henson later told People Magazine, amidst chatter that she dissed Seacrest during their chat, specifically with the way she touched his face: “I did it to keep his chin up. It’s an awkward position to be in. It was all joy for the cast of Sister Wives when Maddie returned home for her baby shower, but as is always the case on this series, nothing ever goes to plan. When Sister Wives Season 9 Episode 8 got underway, it was all about Mariah and her relationship with Audrey. Elsewhere, we learned the sad news that Ysabel’s scoliosis was causing her trouble. At the time of the diagnosis, she was told to wear a night brace to try and reduce the issues with her spine. This was not good for Ysabel because she found it uncomfortable, but Christine found a program that had success with helping to reduce the issues. While Christine and Kody had to agree about the best course of action for their daughter, it was clear they were still having problems int their marriage. As such, they continued to go to therapy on a regular basis. Then there were the issues between Kody and Meri. Meri still wanted to buy the bed and breakfast. In Kody’s defense, he felt like Meri would turn to the family for financial help if anything went wrong with the venture. He wanted to know that Meri could sustain it all on her own. At therapy, the pair reached an agreement, and Kody said he would try to offer as much support as he could to her, but he stopped short of saying he would like to get intimate with her. At Ysabel’s appointment, we learned that the doctor was ready to follow through with surgery and that meant she did not need to wear the brace anymore. However, she had to build up muscle memory because she was going to be in a tough position after it with physiotherapy. All of this resulted in Kody and Christine getting closer together, and that made them happy. It’s been a long time coming, but they are finally back together and showing a united front. Audrey Roloff has giant news to share about her daughter. And we mean this literally… … because Ember is practically a giant! We’re just paraphrasing the Little People, Big World star herself here, as Audrey just shared the very cute picture above, along with a lengthy caption that provided the photo with an important backstory. “We took this chunky girl to her 6 month check up today! NO WAY has it been 6 months (in 10 more days technically) since we labored through the night and brought our precious baby into this world,” wrote Roloff. She added: “I am honestly so thankful for those wristband rolls, plump checks and squishable thighs.” If you’ll recall, just a few months ago, Audrey opened up in detail about her breastfeeding struggles. She wrote candidly about a condition known as mastitis, which caused EXTREME pain for the new mother any time she offered her child sustenance. Back in November, Audrey said doctors told her a few days after Ember that the child would “[have] trouble gaining weight and they were concerned” because Roloff’s milk supply had dried up. As you might expect, Audrey was very worried. But she persisted. She embraced her breastfeeding journey … and here is Ember is today! She’s nearly six months old and, as Audrey is about to explain, the bundle of joy could not be doing better. “With all the issues I endured in those first few months, we were told that we’d never be able to exclusively breastfed,” Roloff continued in the caption for the first image shared in this article, continuing: “Yet here we are hitting the 90th percentiles on pure mama milk! “This post is not to discourage anyone whose journey looked different than mine, I’m simply praising God for fulfilling this desire of my heart.” The 90th percentile?!? Wow. Way to go, Audrey! And Ember, too, of course. Audrey concluded by offering words of encouragement to other parents out there. “Rock on mamas,” she wrote, adding: Don’t compare your story to mine or anyone else’s. “Consider it joy” for wherever God has you on your motherhood journey.
