SMH: Jack In The Box Drive-Thru Employee Fired For Mocking Deaf Woman & Refusing To Serve Her

A deaf woman in California was both mocked and refused service by an employee at Jack in the Box  after she passed the speaker at the drive-thru and went directly to the service window to place her order. ReVae Arnaud-Jensen explained why she was unable to use the drive-thru’s speaker and then attempted to give her order to the employee directly on August 31 – which is when she was berated by the worker. Her son, Malachi Jensen, eventually started to film the interaction. He told NBC News that he began to record because the interaction is a “common problem” faced by deaf people. The video was shared by Arnaud-Jensen on her Facebook page and shows her attempting to explain to the Jack in the Box worker that she is deaf. She can be heard saying, “I can’t hear” and “you’re discriminating.” In response, the worker said, “I don’t care. … Go. Go. Go. Go.” At one point, the employee told the customer to “shut up.” At the end of the video, Arnaud-Jensen tried to simply place her order again. Email Submit Malachi says he and his mother sat outside the restaurant for two hours until they were finally given their order. “It was my first time seeing an employee acting like that, and honestly I was very shocked. I felt pretty mad too because deaf people very often get treated differently,” he told NBC News. Since Farrah Abraham loves to drag daughter Sophia to all of her adult parties , it’s no surprise that she brought her along to an interview. There, Farrah discussed what she’s looking for in a man. One, he needs to love Sophia, which is great. Two, he needs to sign an NDA. … How romantic? Reality television villain Farrah Abraham sat down with Us Weekly for a very, very lengthy interview alongside 10-year-old Sophia. “What am I looking for in a partner?” Farrah begins. “I would say a partner who is well-rounded, loves my daughter, and loves dogs.” She elaborates: “Just a good, fun, outgoing person.” “I’m sure all of us who are single, which there are so many of us, are looking for a great human being,” she suggests. “But there’s very few,” she admits, without acknowledging that she is not one of those few. “Sophia really hopes that she gets a brother or sister,” Farrah says when it comes to growing her family. Sophia then interjects very firmly that she wants a brother. There’s no or sister on her wishlist. “I just hope I meet a human who’s great enough to do that with,” the former Teen Mom villain expresses. “But,” Farrah insists. “I’m in no rush.” “I’m OK being married to myself at this point,” she says. Farrah shares that giving Sophia a younger sibling doesn’t necessarily involve her giving actual physical birth. “I’m OK with adopting,” she announces. But she’s not hurrying off to some agency, either. “Sophia is my one and only right now,” Farrah affirms. ‘We have a happy family,” she claims. “We’re great right now.” “When it comes to dating now, especially after all my therapy and relationship therapy, I’ve just seen some really nasty things in men,” Farrah says. Farrah may not be one of our favorite people, on the grounds of her nastiness and her racist attacks, but she’s not wrong about that. She expresses: “I definitely don’t need anyone dating me anymore because I’m famous or I’m a celebrity.” “I take that really serious now,” Farrah reveals. “I definitely know what I’m looking at now when it comes to personalities and behavior and human behavior,” she adds. How can she bring herself to trust in a world where everybody’s looking for a little fame or a little money — or both? “I don’t take any chances anymore,” Farrah explains. “They sign NDA.” She details: “They’re not allowed to call press or other people, be friends with reporters.” (I’m sure that my friends are all crushed that they can’t date Farrah) “I take it really serious,” Farrah insists. Farrah has been teaching Sophia about sexism, but in an extremely Farrah way. “I discussed with her about being a celebrity in the limelight, and if a female acts like a male, it’s treated way differently, as we’ve seen,” she says. Notably, most actual feminists would consider someone using “male” or “female” like that to be a red flag. “I think Sophia understands the harshness and the unfairness and the sexist attitudes toward women when they act like males,” Farrah adds. “Sophia will rise and be above that,” she predicts. “She’s definitely aware.” “I talk to her about me having sex with a pornstar, yes,” Farrah reveals. That makes a lot of sense. Sophia is 10. Certainly old enough to get forewarned that her mom was in an adult video. “I’m a celebrity, so it was taken way out of context, wasn’t it?” she argues. “It was sensationalized.” “So I think if you’re confused about something, my daughter is very much not confused about how the world sees it,” Farrah concludes. Jamie Spears: OUT as Britney Spears’ Conservator!

Days ago, Britney Spears’ doctor abruptly died — just weeks before the court hears vital testimony about her psychiatric treatments. When we reported this, we also mentioned that Jamie Spears may lose his conservatorship after allegations of child abuse. Well, it’s now official. Jamie no longer wields tyrannical control over his daughter’s life. But for how long? TMZ reports that Jamie Spears is currently out as Britney’s conservator, but that he didn’t exactly go kicking and screaming. Last week, he filed papers asking to be temporarily relieved of the responsibilites, citing “medical reasons.” (We’ll unpack that nonsense in a moment) Britney’s new, temporary conservator is Jodi Montgomery, as we previously reported would likely be the case. Jamie had handpicked her for the role. She will have to fill his shoes until January 20, 2020 — at least. On Monday, Jamie officially stepped down and the court granted Jodi those responsibilities. No one seemed to have any issues with or objections to Jodi’s appointment. The real drama is bound to come up with the court-ordered evaluator delivers a report upon Britney’s medical and psychiatric care. This report comes after three months of total immersion in the case. The judge’s aim is to determine whether Britney’s care is adequate and appropriate. It’s all part of the discussion, of course, as to whether the conservatorship remains necessary. Dr. Timothy Benson died suddenly of an aneurysm in late August. He was ultimately responsible for a great deal of Britney’s care. Normally, he works with athletic titans in the NFL and NBA to help them be their best. Some wondered if he was the right person for Britney. After Britney’s 30-day stint at a mental health facility earlier this year, many questioned both her treatment and the conservatorship. In addition to millions of fans crying “Free Brithey!,” he mother, Lynne, for the first time publicly displayed an interest in her daughter’s conservatorship. This evaluation is a big deal for Britney. If the evaluator determines — and reports to the judge — that Britney’s treatment wasn’t right, that could open a lot of doors. Lynne Spears or even Britney’s baby daddy, Kevin Federline, could launch a challenge to prevent Jamie from ever taking charge again. Earlier this year, Lynne was already questioning Britney’s treatment. She even spoke openly and publicly on social media about what she perceived to be suspicious manipulations of Britney’s social media. Now, Jamie was critically ill earlier this year, which may be why he is citing “health reasons” for stepping back from the conservatorship. But it’s only been about a week since it became public knowledge that he allegedly assaulted his grandson, 13-year-old Sean Preston. While the LAPD investigates the accusation of child-abuse that Kevin Federline filed, Jamie cannot be around his grandsons (thankfully!). Britney has already agreed to reduced custody time with her beloved sons just so that they can spend more time safe from their grandfather. But Jamie obviously cannot act as Britney’s conservator, responsible for her sons’ well-beings, if he is not permitted to be around them. Still, even if his step back is voluntary and temporary, this is a ray of hope for millions of Britney’s fans. David Eason Finally Confesses: YES, I Murdered Jenelle’s Dog!

By now, you probably know the story well. Back in April, David Eason shot and killed Nugget, his wife's 11-pound French bulldog. At the time, he claimed the dog was too dangerous to live and somehow presented a threat to the health and safety of his family. Realizing this made no sense, he backpedalled on the story, and Jenelle told the public that the dog simply went missing. Now, Eason is finally manning up and admitting to what he's done. He thinks his confession will help his wife rebuild her reputation and hawk her cosmetics line. We think his timing couldn't be worse. Take a look: 1. The Monster and the Martyr In a fit of rage, David beat little Nugget before shooting him at close range with a shotgun. The appalling act made Jenelle’s pet an animal rights mascot. 2. A Brutal Scene David did all of this while his children were at home, and the ensuing CPS investigation resulted in the Easons losing custody of the kids who were still permitted to live with them. (They had each lost custody of one child already.) 3. House of Lies David claimed that Nugget attacked and bit his daughter Ensley. However, the only evidence he was ever able to provide was this photo — which shows no bite marks or damage. 4. Jenelle’s Choice Evans briefly left Eason over the incident, but she quickly changed her mind and decided to stand by him — even if it meant losing her kids. 5. Muddying the Waters Nugget’s body was never found by police, and Jenelle used this fact to try to obscure the facts of what really happened that night. 6. Nice Try She claimed she had no knowledge of what became of the dog and suggested that he had simply run away. View Slideshow

John Wesley Dies; Veteran TV Actor Was 72

John Wesley, a long-time actor likely best known for his role on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, died Saturday after a long battle with multiple myeloma. He was 72 years old. Gerry Pass, Wesley’s manager and producer, confirmed this unfortunate news in a statement that read: John Wesley was a gift to the world, for his kindness and grace are immortalized in his works of theatre, TV and film. I am heartbroken to have lost a dear friend today. A veteran of the Vietnam War and a graduate of UCSD with a MFA degree, Wesley had over 100 roles in film and television on his resume… including an episode of the aforementioned sitcom where he played the father of a girl that bullied Will’s cousin, Ashley. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, of course, is the show on which Will Smith for his giant break. Wesley may be a familiar face to almost anyone who has watched television over the past couple decades, however. He also played Mr. Jim, the barber shop owner on Martin and the all-knowing janitor Willie on The Jamie Foxx Show. The actor’s dramatic TV guest roles included appearances on JAG, Hill Street Blues  and In the Heat of the Night. Over the course of a very impressive career, Wesley worked with talens such as Denzel Washington, Albert Finney, Barbra Streisand, Tim Burton and Morgan Freeman. Here is a blurry photo of him acting alongside Smith: In the wake of Wesley’s passing, numerous stars, fans and organizations have taken to social media in order to pay tribute to the late actor. “We are honored to have had John Wesley at our festival. Farewell dear man. Journey well. We send our love with you. Thank you, John,” the Hollywood Women’s Film Festival organization wrote, for example. “We send our love to John’s family and to our beloved Michael Learned, our friend Producer Gerry Pass and the entire cast and crew,” the group added. A Facebook commenter also came across the news and wrote: “I actually cried reading the article only [because] his work was so moving and level of shows and tv is astonishing to say the least. Rest easy former army veteran may you find peace.” Wesley is survived by his wife, Jenny Houston; his mother, Hazel Baskin; his daughters, Kimiko Kamiel Houston and Kinshasha Houston; stepson, Kyler Richie; nine siblings and seven grandchildren. Felicity Huffman: Headed to PRISON For Role In College Bribery Scandal!

She may not be a housewife, but we’re guessing Felicity Huffman is feeling mighty desperate these days, Along with fellow actress Lori Loughlin, Huffman is one of the faces of the college admissions bribery scandal , which made tabloid headlines back in March and continues to create endless legal nightmares for many well-heeled, but ethically-deficient parents. Basically, Loughlin and Huffman stand accused of handing out bribes in order to ensure their children’s admission to top colleges. Loughlin refused a plea deal and is planning to fight her charges in front of a judge. Huffman accepted a deal from prosecutors — but it looks like the court is still planning to make an example of her. According to documents filed on Friday, the U.S. Attorney’s office is recommending that Huffman pay a fine of $20,000 and serve one month in federal prison. “Huffman’s conduct was deliberate and manifestly criminal: it was wrong, she knew it was wrong, and she actively participated in manipulating her daughter’s guidance counselor, the testing services and the schools to which her daughter applied,” the documents read. “Her efforts weren’t driven by need or desperation, by a sense of entitlement, or at least moral cluelessness, facilitated by wealth and insularity,” prosecutors wrote. “Millions of parents send their kids to college every year. “All of them care as much as she does about the children’s fortunes. But they don’t buy fake SAT scores and joke about (‘Ruh ro!’) along the way.” The “Ruh ro!” remark is a reference to a comment Huffman made in an email to co-conspirator Rick Singer when she learned that her daughter’s high school would be using its own proctor for the SAT, which would make it more difficult for her daughter to cheat on the exam. Needless to say, it sounds as though prosecutors are taking Huffman’s case quite personally — and she’s certainly not receiving much sympathy from the public. According to TMZ, 27 people submitted letters of support defending Huffman’s actions, including her husband, William H. Macy, and her Desperate Housewives co-star Eva Longoria. But it doesn’t sound like those B-list pleas will be enough to keep Huffman from serving time. We imagine Loughlin — who, again, refused the deal that was offered to her by prosecutors — is shaking in her designer boots at the moment.

ASAP Rocky’s First Lawyer In Sweden Shot In The Head

Henrick Olssen Lilja was wounded outside of an apartment complex where he reportedly lives. The victim called the authorities himself and was rushed to the hospital. Since the incident, police have brought numerous suspects in for questioning. Eyewitnesses say Lilja was attacked and wrestled to the ground by the assailant before he was shot twice. Police said in a statement, “The police have arrested several people for questioning. The investigation is at an intense stage and the police are working on several different fronts to make progress.” They added that the crime was an “isolated incident with no known connection to recent violent crimes.” Aside from Rocky, Lilja also represented other high profile people like Qiao Jianjun, a wanted fugitive in China who stands accused of embezzling millions. His medical condition is currently unknown. Lilja was assigned to ASAP Rocky’s case when it first caught worldwide attention due to Rocky’s alleged living conditions in jail while he was awaiting trial for an assault case. He was released from Swedish jail a little over three weeks after his arrest. The rapper was charged with assault for allegedly beating up a man who he said harassed him. After weeks of protest from fans and an intervention from Donald Trump , Rocky was returned to the US after being found guilty. He will not have to serve any additional jail time. As previously reported rumors swirled that Fetty’s ex-girlfriend Alexis Skyy “lied” about the paternity of her child and her daughter was actually the offspring of her “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” costar Solo Lucci, who fueled the rumors himself. Alexis was “humiliated” by the rumor and put an end to it by showing the results of a negative paternity test. She captioned the now-deleted post; “I have been humiliated, I have been disrespected, i have been harassed non f—ing stop about not knowing who my child’s father all because of Michael Dorsey AKA Solo Lucci continuing to spread this lie. I have been bullied nonstop, but TODAY this s— ENDS.” “I have never not known who my child’s father is,” Skyy added. “Ive been thru so much s— because of this. Fetty was on Instagram Live this weekend and hinted that Alexis’ daughter Alaiya “Lai Lai” Grace is NOT biologically his. After speaking on being there for Lai Lai’s birth and adding that he’ll always love her, Fetty told fans that he doesn’t feel a “biological” obligation to her. I’mma always love Lai Lai, I was there when she was born, I was there for her doctor’s appointments, me and her mother fell out but that ain’t got nothing to do with the baby,” said Wap. “When I feel like I want to be there, I’m going to be there. I’m gonna help. But as far as me going above my boundaries – nah. If it was biological with me, then it would be different.” WHERE IS MAURY?! Amber Portwood has done some terrible things, and that's just a fact. We've seen her abuse Gary Shirley, and we've seen her neglect her daughter, Leah, when she was younger. We've certainly seen the toxic mess that was her relationship with Matt Baier. But now that she's currently in the middle of both a criminal case and a custody case stemming from her alleged assault of Andrew Glennon in July, even more things are coming out about her. And it's really, truly not looking good for her. 1. Such a Mess It seems like every single day, the situation with Amber Portwood gets worse. 2. Well … And honestly, that’s because it kind of does. 3. Goodness Gracious It’s been two months now since The Incident, and more and more details are coming out, and she keeps getting more and more open about her thoughts and feelings about everything, and it’s just not great for anyone. 4. The Incident So just in case you forgot, Amber was arrested on the morning of July 5th after assaulting boyfriend Andrew Glennon and allegedly chasing him with a machete while he was holding their son, James. 5. Naturally According to Andrew’s story, she was upset because they weren’t able to go see fireworks the day before, and she’d been raging for hours about it. 6. Yikes She beat him with a shoe, which she admitted to doing, and police have photos of bruises and scratches from that, and he even claimed that she attempted suicide by taking a handful of pills that she later threw up after he threatened to call the police.
