‘Bout time this ninja finally gets his isht together. Dennis Rodman Enters Rehab We all knew Dennis needed help when he started dressing like Sheneneh. Now, the brutha wants a Nobel Prize for his “work” in North Korea. Yeah, it’s time for an intervention. According to TMZ: Dennis Rodman is in rehab to treat his never-ending addiction to booze … TMZ has learned. Sources connected to Rodman tell us the 52-year old basketball Hall of Famer checked into a treatment center a few days ago in New Jersey … on the heels of his disastrous trip to North Korea. We’re told Rodman is “beyond exhausted and overwhelmed” … and he will be in treatment for 30 days. Rodman blamed booze for his explosion during a recent CNN interview from N. Korea. Hopefully, he gets the help he needs…the world can’t handle another slizzard TV rant. WENN
Dennis Rodman has checked into rehab. The former NBA All-Star, who totally lost his $hit during an interview with CNN this month in concert with his trip to North Korea , has admitted he has a drinking problem. The five-time NBA champion has come under heavy scrutiny for celebrating the 31st birthday of dictator Kim Jong-un by playing in an exhibition basketball game in North Korea along with a number of ex-professional ballers. Rodman was asked by Chris Cuomo about the adventure a few weeks ago, flipped out over questions regarding that nation’s human rights violations and later apologized , saying he was wasted at the time. “What was potentially a historic and monumental event turned into a nightmare for everyone concerned,” Rodman’s agent Darren Prince told USA Today in a statement, adding: “Dennis Rodman came back from North Korea in pretty rough shape emotionally. The pressure that was put on him to be a combination ‘super human’ political figure and ‘fixer’ got the better of him. He is embarrassed, saddened and remorseful for the anger and hurt his words have caused.” Rodman appeared on Season 3 of Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew, but – shockingly – that rehab visit didn’t change his behavior. Let’s hope he takes his latest one a bit more seriously.
Dennis Rodman went positively ballistic today during an interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo. While surrounded with several former NBA players, Rodman defended his trips to North Korea as a “great idea for the world.” But should the group, who is due to play in a basketball game tomorrow in honor of Kim Jong Un ‘s 31st birthday, really be in Pyongyang? Is this a good idea, considering North Korea’s human rights record? Cuomo also asked Rodman a serious question about Kenneth Bae, an American citizen who was arrested in November 2012, convicted last spring by North Korea of unexplained “hostile acts” and sentenced to 15 years in a labor camp… only for Rodman to FLIP OUT. Dennis Rodman may think he influenced policy a great deal via his trip to North Korea earlier this year and his sit-down with Kim Jong Un. But GQ begs to disagree. The magazine has named the former rebounding champion its LEAST Influential Celebrity of 2013. According to editors, Rodman is a “Q-list celebrity willing to commit borderline treason just to hang out with a dictator who himself aspires to be a Q-list celebrity.” That pretty much sums him up, doesn’t it? Who else made this undesirable list? Paula Deen checks in at number-two due to her use of the N Word and general, seemingly racist attitude; while former U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner grabbed spot number-three. “He’s the saddest lecher in American politics, and that’s saying something, because they’re all lechers,” the magazine writes. Among other very well-known names, Miley Cyrus is number-six for “basically trying every inane strategy she could think of to rile up America’s few remaining pearl clutchers,” while Barack Obama is number-17. The reason? This President “nothing gets done,” GQ says. That’s not true, however, many Obamacare website users would argue. He’s really good at mishandling online insurance applications.
