The world of professional wrestling may be fake, but former WWE superstar Chris “The Masterpiece” Masters made a very real and incredibly impressive save this week: He saved his mother from a burning house. By uprooting a tree with his own hands and using it as a battering ram to enter the residence. Sources confirm to TMZ that Masters responded to a call that an unhinged neighbor had locked himself into the house with Chris’ mother. When Masters called the cops, this neighbors remained true to his word and set fire to the home. The ex-grapper then picked up the tree and broke a window with it. He reached in, saved his mother and the cops soon arrived to arrest the neighbor for arson. He remains in custody. What a truly amazing story. Your move, Hulk Hogan .
Dennis Rodman’s trip to North Korea may have been worth something after all. In a Tuesday interview with The Sun , the retired NBA star revealed that Kim Jong Un is the father of a baby girl! If true, that is a major state secret. “[Ri Sol Ju] kept talking about their beautiful baby daughter,” Rodman said. There’s been speculation that the couple had a baby girl, but Pyongyang has yet to officially acknowledge any potential heirs to Kim Jong Un’s regime. While it is believed Ri Sol Ju gave birth recently, no one knows for sure. North Korea Leadership Watch editor Michael Madden said that the North Korean government “would have made an announcement” if the child was a boy. Rodman added, per The Sun, that Ri Sol Ju, Kim’s wife, was “very elegant and quite tall for a Korean – 5’5” … your chief intelligence officer, everyone. A recent United Nations report found that more than a quarter of North Korean children suffer stunted growth as a result of chronic malnutrition. Rodman visited the reclusive leader at the end of February. At the conclusion of the trip, the basketball star spoke glowingly of Kim to members of the media. “I love him,” Rodman said. “The guy’s really awesome.” Whatever Rodman’s perspectives may be, however, he doesn’t seem to have won much support for either side among their longtime adversaries. The regime recently posted on YouTube several crudely made propaganda videos, featuring dramatized depictions of military attacks on the U.S. Real normal.
After Bret Michaels’ meltdown and Dee Snider’s exit , Sunday’s episode of Celebrity Apprentice All-Stars proved the most dramatic of the new season so far. Their task was to create a five-minute soap opera for Crystal Light, with La Toya Jackson and Stephen Baldwin becoming dueling project managers. Jackson clashed with Omarosa from the start, and tensions rose throughout the night, the point where MJ’s sister dealt a serious low blow, saying: “Omarosa is the most evil person I’ve ever met. She’s a no good, conniving scheming, cut-throat, probably pulled the cord on Michael Duncan Clarke.” Not at all called for, Toya. Or correct, for that matter. Jackson (and others) expressed their issues with Omarosa and how she was a distraction after finding out Duncan’s 911 tapes were being released. In any case, Baldwin’s team won the task, giving his charity the $50,000 prize … and Jackson surprisingly did not bring Omarosa back into the boardroom. It was Dennis Rodman and Brande Roderick on the chopping block with her, and since neither did anything wrong, La Toya was fired by The Donald. Was it the right call? Is there any doubt after this display?
GTFOHWTBS! Haven’t you embarrassed yourself AND black people enough with your antics?! Dennis Rodman Shows Up In Vatican City To Promote Gambling Websites Via CBSNews Ex-NBA star Dennis Rodman has been turning up in the strangest places. On the heels of a tour of the North Korean capital Pyongyang, where he professed his friendship to leader and U.S. top-antagonist Kim Jong Un, CBS News caught up with the flamboyant basketball player in Vatican City, in his new capacity as a front-man for the Irish gambling company Paddy Power. The online betting behemoth chose Rodman to help promote its offered odds on who will be chosen by the Catholic cardinals as the next pope. Though he insists he doesn’t gamble, “on stuff like that,” Rodman wasn’t shy about telling CBS News who he thought the next pontiff would be. “Today we always want to see something different, and this is going to be different. He will be black, he will be black,” professed the former all-star forward. He suggested Ghana’s Cardinal Peter Kodwo Appiah Turkson was the man to win it. Turkson has been named as a contender in the conclave, should the cardinals decide to elect their first pontiff in modern times from outside of Europe. Paddy Power, incidentally, has Italian Cardinal Angelo Scola as a clear front-runner, at least in terms of betting odds. Rodman said he hoped to meet the new pope while in Rome, whoever he may be. We don’t make it habit of hating people, but we might hate Dennis Rodman. Somebody get this ignorant a$$ ni**a a seat and STRAP HIM TO IT! Image via AP
NBA Hall of Fame member and longtime oddball Dennis Rodman. North Korean strongman and baby-faced charmer Kim Jong-Un. Look at Kim destroy his evil, capitalistic foes! HE’S ON FIRE!!! Dennis Rodman, Kim Jong-Un NBA Jam Not surprisingly, the hometown “North Korea All Stars” absolutely annihilate the visiting “Pathetic Americans” … with Kim doing most of the damage. Rodman was never a big scorer, after all.
The new season of NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice: All-Stars (an oxymoron if ever there was one) commenced with a bit of a shocker on Sunday night. Who was sent packing by The Donald? Bret Michaels, a former winner of the reality show, was the first contestant bounced this spring after his team failed to sell enough meatballs. Brutal. Past champs Joan Rivers, Piers Morgan , Arsenio Hall and John Rich are serving as judges; Michaels chose to compete again, rather than judge. This clearly irritated Trump, and may have put a target on his back from the second he joined Team Power along with a host of other B-listers. Bret’s teammates were Playmate Brande Roderick, Claudia Jordan, Dennis Rodman , La Toya Jackson, Lil Jon and original Apprentice star Omarosa. Their opposition, Plan B, featured a rag tag crew: Trace Adkins, Dee Snider, Gary Busey, Lisa Rinna, Marilu Henner, Penn Jillette and Stephen Baldwin. Roderick was the project manager of the losing team, but Trump spared her, saying she did so well individually when it came to raising cash. It then came down to Bret and La Toya, with Michaels getting the axe, his dreams of earning a second Celebrity Apprentice title dashed immediately. What do you think? Did the Donald make the right call? Who do you want to win this year? Did you know the show was even still on? Tell us below!
NBA Hall of Fame member Dennis Rodman is in North Korea right now. File that under THG Headlines You Didn’t See Coming This Morning. Rodman, along with three current members of the Harlem Globetrotters basketball team, are apparently filming a TV show for a US media company. The company said they hope engage in some “basketball diplomacy.” North Korea leader Kim Jong-un, who just oversaw the country’s recent nuclear test, is known to be a big basketball fan. So … can’t hurt, we suppose? Shane Smith, the founder of U.S. media company Vice, says: “Is sending members of the Harlem Globetrotters and Dennis Rodman to the DPRK [Democratic People’s Republic of Korea] strange? In a word, yes.” “But finding common ground on the basketball court is a beautiful thing. “These channels of cultural communication might appear untraditional, and perhaps they are, but we think it’s important just to keep the lines open.” As the delegation arrived at Pyongyang’s airport, Rodman said: ”It’s my first time, I think it’s most of these guys’ first time here, so hopefully everything’s going to be OK, and hoping the kids have a good time for the game.” Bull Bullard, one of the three Harlem Globetrotters on the tour, said they were hoping to teach North Koreans some of the team’s signature basketball skills: “We’re going to teach them, we’re going to show them what we do,… a lot of magic with the basketball, a lot of wizardry, a lot of fun and entertainment.” It was not clear exactly what the players would be doing while in North Korea, but Vice promises “documentary style news reports from around the world.” Rodman, a Hall of Fame member, is as famous for his tattoos, piercings and cross-dressing as he is for his rebounding titles and five NBA championships. He used to play for the Chicago Bulls which, according to a memoir by Kim Jong-un’s former sushi chef, was his favorite team as a young man. Rodman and his group will be in the country until March 5.
News of troubled country singer Mindy McCready’s death from a self-inflicted gunshot wound took the celebrity news world by storm late Sunday. Criticism of VH1’s Celebrity Rehab spread almost as fast. Mindy is now the fifth celebrity cast member to die since appearing on the show, hosted by Dr. Drew Pinsky, and the third from Season 3 alone. The Celebrity Rehab stars who died before McCready: Mike Starr, bassist for Alice in Chains Joey Kovar, a Real World participant Rodney King of L.A. riots fame Actor Jeff Conaway Starr and Kovar overdosed, King was found dead in his pool with alcohol and marijuana in his system, Conaway died of pneumonia and an infection. All stirred up rumors of a curse and a debate about the show’s purpose/helpfulness. Mindy’s apparent suicide upped the pitch of the reaction, however. Singer Richard Marx, who made news slamming Chris Brown earlier this month, compared Pinsky to Dr. Jack Kevorkian on Twitter: “Same results.” Marx backed off later, saying the crack went too far. He reiterated, however, that the show is … well … “It is, however, my opinion that what Dr. D does is exploitation and his track record is not good,” he wrote. VH1’s Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew is not currently on the air. Pinsky switched his focus to non-celebrities in Season 6 last fall and changed the title to Rehab . Season 3, shot in 2009, featured McCready, Dennis Rodman, Tom Sizemore, Mackenzie Phillips, Heidi Fleiss and a handful of lesser known celebrities. McCready was a sympathetic character on the show and appeared far less damaged than her fellow cast members in terms of full-fledged addiction. Pinsky diagnosed her with “love addiction.” Mindy suffered a seizure while on the show, further endearing her to Dr. Drew and the others. In an interview with The Associated Press several months later, he said McCready had a good shot at recovery if she remained in treatment. “Like with anybody I treat, it’s really up to them,” Pinsky said. “I never know. If they do the work they’re supposed to do, yes (there can be success).” “If she does the work it will be great. It’s up to her how much of that she does, how much she feels she needs to do. It seems like she’s doing rather well.” Three years later, she’s dead. Her body was found on the front porch of a home she shared with boyfriend David Wilson, who died in the same place – and fashion – 36 days earlier. Pinsky issued a statement Sunday night after he learned of Mindy’s demise. “She is a lovely woman who will be missed by many,” the statement said. “Although I have not treated her for a few years, I had reached out to her upon hearing about the apparent suicide of her boyfriend and father of her younger (child).” “She was devastated. Although she was fearful of stigma and ridicule she agreed with me that she needed to make her health and safety a priority.” “Unfortunately it seems that Mindy did not sustain her treatment.” What do you think? Does Celebrity Rehab actually help its cast members? Or does it do the opposite and actually make matters worse?
Another attorney for Rodman#39;s ex-wife argued in court that Rodman owed Michelle Rodman about $850,000, but Linnea Willis, the former NBA standout#39;s attorney, challenged that figure, Noiroux said.
