At least five people have been reported killed in tornadoes that have basted parts of the US states of Oklahoma. Road closed due to storms which ripped up trees and flattened homes. Jerry Lojka, the Department of Emergency Management spokesman, said there were two people killed in Oklahoma City and three died in Cleveland County. Last February, Oklahoma was also hit by a deadly tornado and it left eight people dead. Jamie Keyes who lives in Norman, which is about 20 miles (30km) south of Oklahoma City, felt fortunate to have survived the latest storm. Emergency officials reported there were 58 people injured in the storm. Forecasters warned that the weather system was heading for Arkansas. Music mogul reportedly spent an hour talking with the incarcerated rapper. By Jayson Rodriguez Diddy (file) Photo: Ray Tamarra/ Getty Images Diddy paid a surprise visit to the incarcerated Lil Wayne on Wednesday, according to a source who spoke with the New York Daily News over the weekend. The music mogul made the trek to the Eric M. Taylor Center at Rikers Island and spent an hour talking with the fellow hip-hop star. According to the report, Diddy is on the list of approved visitors the Cash Money artist maintains. In March, MTV News examined the visitors policy at New York prisons. Inmates are permitted visitors weekly, from a number of different people, including lawyers, media and just about anyone who is willing to make the trip, which the corrections department suggests be made via public transportation. Diddy, reportedly, eschewed his normal chauffeur service in favor of the public shuttle to the center. An inquiry made by MTV News to a representative for Diddy, to confirm his visit, was unanswered as of press time. To keep inmates safe, a guard notifies the jailed residents about visitors, and they must agree to the visit if the person isn’t on the pre-approved list. Each week, inmates are permitted two visits, which can last up to an hour and occur any day of the week except Monday and Tuesday, when the facility is closed to all visits. On those days when visitors are welcomed, hours for visits range from 12:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Within those options lie scheduling blocks dictated by a sliding scale that is determined by the first letter of a prisoner’s last name and available on the Department of Corrections website. Kate Gosselin’s elimination from Dancing with the Stars did not mark the end of her reality TV career. It’s official: TLC is bringing back Kate Plus 8 . It’s a go at the network after the local Department of Labor says the eight children have been cleared to continue their careers as reality TV stars. This despite the objections of her own brother , Jon Gosselin and millions of us across America who are just plain sick of her. Stick it to ’em, Kate! A rep for the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry says the correct paperwork for the show was submitted and approved … and said: “The proper steps have been taken and the kids are permitted for Kate Plus 8 .” Thank goodness. And tough luck, Jon. How’s your career going? KATE PLUS 8 : Gosselin and the gang are running it back! No word if the reloaded Kate Plus 8 will feature Jon in any way, as he was the one who axed the original show for starting to phase him out exploiting the kids. Our guess is for the right price, he won’t object this time around. Especially if he succeeds in pursuing a rich cougar to bleed money and sexual favors from. As for Kate’s other TLC spin-off (yes, there are two proposed Kate Gosselin shows in the works), tentatively titled Twist of Kate, no paperwork has been filed. Without the Department of Labor signing off, you can bet that TLC won’t push its luck. So this may indicate that the children may not be joining her there.
