Poor NeNe… NeNe Leakes Blasts The View Hosts For Being “Mean Girls” NeNe Leakes appeared on “The View” today and was apparently none too pleased with how she was treated by the cohosts. The former RHOA star stopped by and spoke on a number of topics including her departure from reality TV and her new mansion. On her decision not to return for season 8: Well I felt like season 7 was really hard… I felt like there were times that I was really ganged up on. It’s not cool. It’s not fair for everybody to come at you at once, for everybody to try to make you appear you’re something that you’re not. On if she’ll ever return to RHOA: Maybe, maybe not. The Housewives has been very good to me. It has been amazing and it has opened up many doors for me. As you can see… lots of girls would like to imitate the Nene Leakes brand, you know what I mean. Nene Leakes The View 2Joy Behar then states, “She’s very humble isn’t she? I see why you like Donald Trump.” to which Leakes responds… “I didn’t say I was voting for him hunni, I said I liked him.” NeNe later tweeted and deleted that she felt like the hosts were being “mean girls” to her… and fans blasted Joy Behar in particular for being harsh on the reality star. Rainn Wilson has made his return to television. But the actor behind one of the funniest characters in small screen history has left his stapler at home. Indeed, Everett Backstrom is quite the departure from Dwight Schrute, as this is a man who doesn’t like his job very much. He’s overweight. He’s offensive. He’s crude. He’s irascible. But he’s a pretty darn good detective who is constantly struggling with his self-destructive behavior while working as part of a team of eccentric criminologists. The comedic drama is based on the Swedish book series by Leif G. W. Persson and executive producer by Hart Hanson of Bones fame. Backstrom also stars Page Kennedy, Kristoffer Polaha, Thomas Dekker and Dennis Haysbert and it’s off to a pretty good start. Just think House… but with criminals, not patients. Woman Only Awarded $142,000 After Hospital Wrongly Removes Uterus A New York woman who was given a hysterectomy without her knowledge during a hospital stay is rightfully upset at only receiving $142,000 in compensation. via NY Daily News A jury added insult to injury Wednesday, handing down a “shockingly low” verdict in a lawsuit brought by a NYU dance instructor who said she was unknowingly bullied into a hysterectomy that she didn’t want or need. The Manhattan Supreme Court jury awarded Jill Jacobs just $142,000 in damages — even after the judge in the unusual case found NYU Langone Medical Center guilty of malpractice, making the trial strictly about the amount of compensation Jacobs deserved. Jacobs — who is a teacher at Greenwich Village’s Steinhardt School — sued the hospital for $5 million in 2010, claiming that surgeon Bhavana Pothuri was wrong to perform the hysterectomy during an unrelated operation in 2009 to remove a fibroid from her uterus. “I’m shocked,” an ashen Jacobs, 54, said Wednesday as she put her hand to her throat and tried to hold back tears. “It’s a very, very long road to bring your case to trial. You do it because what’s done was wrong.” Jacobs claimed her “butchering” at the hospital sent her into a tailspin of depression, ruining her self-image and reviving horrific memories of being kidnapped and raped at age 20. Hopefully this young woman will file an appeal and keep pushing this case forward because this is ridiculous! Do you think she was fairly compensated?

Out with the old and in with the new. Jenny McCarthy To Join “The View” According to People One bubbly, perky – and outspoken – blonde is about to be replaced by another. Less than a week after the departure of Elisabeth Hasselbeck from the syndicated daytime talkfest The View comes confirmation that Jenny McCarthy will succeed her when the show returns for its 17th season Sept. 9. “YUP, I’M DOING ‘THE VIEW’!” McCarthy trumpeted on her blog Monday. “When word got out that Joy [Behar] was leaving ‘The View,’ I knew that the timing of my desire and her departure might be serendipitous for me.” “Jenny brings us intelligence as well as warmth and humor,” the show’s original host and co-executive producer Barbara Walters said in a statement released by ABC Monday morning. Added the veteran media personality, 86, who next summer plans to retire from appearing on the show: “She can be serious and outrageous. She has connected with our audience and offers a fresh point of view. Jenny will be a great addition to the show as we usher in an exciting new chapter for The View.” McCarthy, 40, a former Playboy Playmate and talk host – of her own show, where she ignited her latest romance, with Donnie Wahlberg – said in her statement about joining Walters, Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd on the program: “I’m beyond thrilled … I look forward to helping make hot topics a little bit hotter, and showing my mom that my interrupting skills have finally paid off.” Jenny will definitely bring some hotness to “The View.” Barbara is as old as the New Testament and Whoopi….we’ll leave that alone.

Robert Downey, Jr. gave us a real scare there for a little while, talkin’ bout “I want to stop playing super heroes.” Well, it seems that Disney and Marvel Studios convinced him otherwise. I wonder how they did it!? (he asks, holding up a sack of money) Sorry, the cynical side of me always pops out at times like this. But we should all actually be excited that Downey will play Iron Man in The Avengers 2 and 3 as per a new two-picture deal, because he is definitely the heart of that franchise. Still, the news seems to suggest that Downey is done with Iron Man movies, which means that Disney will have to deal with his departure relatively soon. They could recast the character, reboot the series, or just kill Stark off. Our guess is that however they decide Downey should part the role, they will address it in Iron Man 3 .
