Catelynn Lowell: Is She Still Struggling with Her Mental Illness?

Back in March, Catelynn Lowell checked into a rehab center to get help with her mental health issues, namely her depression and anxiety. She spent three weeks there, but sadly, she’s still been having significant problems stemming from her illnesses. And in this new sneak peek from next week’s episode of Teen Mom OG, it looks like things are coming to a head. Again: Catelynn Lowell Wants to Buy a Horse Things start off normal and fine, with Catelynn telling her husband, Tyler Baltierra, about her visit with little Nova to see some horses. She says that Nova wanted to get down and run around, but that she wouldn’t let her because there were so many horses around — cute, right? But then Catelynn mentions that she saw a horse for sale that she was interested in buying. And that’s when things got weird. “They had one of the ones there that I liked for sale,” she tells Tyler. “She’s $3,000 because she’s young, and she’s very, like, um … a broad spectrum, you can put little kids on her, you can put scared adults on her, and she does really good.” She goes on to explain that “It’s just first of all finding a horse that you like, and if I’m interested in one, then that’s when, you know, you call boarding facilities, see what they offer, how much they are, before you even buy a horse, and then you just kind of go from there.” Which might be a normal conversation, except it’s clear by the expression on Tyler’s face that he’s not even remotely interested in buying a horse, not even a little bit, not even at all. But he tries to be reasonable about it, and he asks Catelynn how much it costs to board a horse. She really tries to sell it here, telling him that some boarding costs as little as $100 a month, but a producer interrupts to mention that the guy they spoke with at the stables actually said boarding was $1,000 a month. Still, Tyler tries to find a way to politely end the conversation, this time by suggesting that Catelynn volunteer at some horse stables instead of actually buying a horse. “No, volunteering’s different though,” Catelynn sneers. “I want to be able to ride if I’m having a panic attack.” And there it is. Tyler still thinks volunteering would be good, because she’s be “right there, and it’s free, I’m just sayin’,” but she’s not having it. She insists that owning a horse would be much better for her, because that way she wouldn’t have to pay $30 whenever she had a panic attack to ride a horse that wasn’t hers. (It’s interesting to note that, at this point in the video, Nova takes off her diaper and runs into another room by herself. But sure, let’s keep talking about horses.) Good ol’ Tyler points out that it might make more sense to just pay $30 for each riding session instead of paying thousands and thousands of dollars to own a horse, and Catelynn actually laughs at him. After that, he gives up, and she starts repeating, over and over, that she will own a horse. It’s just a little bit unbearable. We feel for Catelynn, we really do, and it must be terrible to suffer from mental illness like she does. But let’s remember that, earlier this season, she bought a miniature pig , and that pig was a big part of what drove Catelynn to go to rehab. The poor animal squealed and squealed, like pigs do, but she couldn’t handle it, and she told her Teen Mom producers that she needed help. Catelynn and Tyler Argue Over Catelynn’s Depression (Again) So she went to rehab, she came back home, but she’s still been struggling with even getting out of bed in the mornings . But she wants to buy a horse? Things just aren’t looking great for Catelynn. That’s all.

Adele Opens Up About Postpartum Depression, Binge Drinking

Adele is one of those celebrities who generally keeps her personal life very private.  She’s got one of the best voices on the planet and is one of the most relatable celebrities out there.  The 28-year-old is currently touring North America as part of her world tour in support of her album, “25.” The star opened up in the December issue of Vanity Fair about her personal life and what it’s like to live in the spotlight.  One of the things that came up was Adele chatting about her having postpartum depression.  “I had really bad postpartum depression after I had my son, and it frightened me,” she tells the magazine. “One day I said to a friend, ‘I f**kin’ hate this,’ and she just burst into tears and said, ‘I f**kin’ hate this, too.’ And it was done. It lifted,” she explains. “My knowledge of postpartum—or post-natal, as we call it in England—is that you don’t want to be with your child; you’re worried you might hurt your child; you’re worried you weren’t doing a good job,” Adele says. “But I was obsessed with my child. I felt very inadequate; I felt like I’d made the worst decision of my life. It can come in many different forms. Eventually I just said, I’m going to give myself an afternoon a week, just to do whatever the f**k I want without my baby. A friend of mine said, ‘Really? Don’t you feel bad?’ I said, I do, but not as bad as I’d feel if I didn’t do it.” Adele also chatted about what made her cut back on drinking alcohol.  “Having a hangover with a child is torture,” she says, referring to herself as once a “massive drinker.” “Just imagine an annoying three-year-old who knows something’s wrong; it’s hell,” the global superstar adds. “I used to love to be drunk, but as I got more famous I would wake up the next morning and think, What the f**k did I say and who the f**k did I say it to?” Adele recalls. “I can see from an outsider’s perspective that I will never write songs as good as the ones that are on 21, but I’m not as indulgent as I was then, and I don’t have time to fall apart like I did then. I was completely off my face writing that album, and a drunk tongue is an honest one.” “I would drink two bottles of wine, and I would chain-smoke. Then I’d write the lyrics down and the next morning think, F**k, that’s quite good. Then I’d find the melody. But since I’ve had my baby, I’m not as carefree as I used to be.” However, with things changing over the past few years, Adele may not be rushing to expand on her family.  “I think it’s the bravest thing not to have a child; all my friends and I felt pressurized into having kids, because that’s what adults do,” she says. “I love my son more than anything,” Adele insists,”but on a daily basis, if I have a minute or two, I wish I could do whatever the f**k I wanted, whenever I want. Every single day I feel like that.” “I’ve always been pretty melancholy,” she explains. “Obviously not as much in my real life as the songs are, but I have a very dark side. I’m very available to depression. I can slip in and out of it quite easily,” she shares. But, I haven’t had that feeling since I had my son and snapped out of my postpartum depression.” Postpartum must be a scary thing for any mother to go through.  What do you think about all of this? Maksim Chmerkovskiy: I’d Like to Kill Hope Solo!

Back in 2011, Hope Solo competed on Dancing With the Stars along with fan-favorite Maksim Chmerkovskiy as her coach and partner. The duo performed respectably, finishing in fourth place, but their working relationship is remembered as one of the most volatile in the history of the show. Rehearsal footage showed Chmerkovskiy getting rough with Solo during rehearsals, and neither of them had anything good to say about the other after their time on the show was through. Just when it seemed that they had quietly gone their separate ways, Solo dropped a bombshell in her memoir, claiming that Chmerkovskiy slapped her  during one of their final rehearsals together. Maksim swears that incident never happened, but Hope still sticks to her story three years later. So we suppose it’s not surprising that Maks didn’t have a lot of kind things to say about the former USWNT goalie in a recent podcast interview: “She’s just a sh-tty person,” Maksim says. “You can have a sh-tty life growing up, but if you’re a bad person, there’s no excuse for that.” The remark was made during a game of “F-ck, Marry, Kill” and not surprisingly, Chmerkovskiy stated, “I would definitely kill Hope Solo” (hypothetically, of course). Jeez. Tell what you really think Maks!

Hayden Panettiere Enters Treatment for Postpartum Depression

Back in December Hayden Panettiere welcomed a baby girl . It was the first child for both Hayden and her boxer fiance, Wladimir Klitschko, and the couple gushed with pride as they shared the first photos of baby Kaya .  Unfortunately, it now seems that Hayden;s well-publicized struggles with postpartum depression have shown no sign of relenting, and sources confirm she recently decided to check into an in-patient therapy center to receive treatment. “Hayden Panettiere is voluntarily seeking professional help at a treatment center as she is currently battling postpartum depression,” says a statement issued by reps for the actress. “She asks that the media respect her privacy during this time.” Hayden has been remarkably candid about the emotional difficulties she endured in the months following her daughter’s birth: “You don’t realize how broad of a spectrum you can really experience that on,” Hayden said during a recent appearance on Live! With Kelly & Michael. “It’s something that needs to be talked about. Women need to know that they’re not alone, and that it does heal.” In recent weeks, it looked as though Panetierre was beginning to overcome her depression, as she frequently posted upbeat tweets, such as, “I feel like I’m finally coming into my own body!” Sadly, as anyone who’s life has been touched by depression knows, and upswing can be followed by an abrupt downturn. Interestingly, Hayden’s character on the ABC series Nashville also suffers from postpartum depression. Panettiere has stated that she drew from personal experience in depicting her characters emotional struggles. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Welcomed Babies in 2015
