Just when you thought you’d heard it all, Texas mother Stephanie Redus, 29, was arrested after attempting to put her three-year-old son on Craigslist. For adoption. Redus, 29, told authorities that she placed the ad because she struggles with depression and anxiety. She is currently pregnant. The ad stated: “Hi, I’m trying to adopt out my three-year-old son. I’m not in a good place in my life and don’t feel like I can care for him properly, but don’t know where to start.” “If you or know anyone who is interested in caring for him please let me know. I’m a single mom and can’t do this. Thanks, Desperate.” The May 1 posting has since been taken down by Craigslist, but not before police got word of it and questioned Redus after locating her through the ad. “The defendant stated that she did make the post but never intended to give … [the] child up for adoption,” an officer told the Houston Chronicle . “The defendant responded that she is currently pregnant and has not been able to take her medication to combat her depression and anxiety.” Redus told authorities that “the posting was to help with her anxiety,” and a neighbor who lives near Redus said he felt the boy seemed well cared for. “You’d see them out here playing,” John Kirby told KTRK. “The little boy, he goes around riding a little electric police car he’s got. Nothing unusual.” The child is now with Child Protective Services. Redus is charged with advertising for placement of a child and is scheduled to appear in court May 21.

Robert Halderman was arrested, but Letterman’s dirty laundry was aired; he publicly confessed to affairs with Late Show interns in an on-air monologue. That’s a bad way to go out… Bullied 15-Year-Old Jumps In Front Of Train In Front Of Classmates Via NYPost A Staten Island teen who pals said had been relentlessly tormented by bullies leaped to her death in front of a train yesterday as her classmates looked on in horror. The Huguenot Staten Island Railway station platform was packed with fellow students from Tottenville HS at around 3:15 when a sobbing Felicia Garcia suddenly broke away and jumped. She died at Staten Island University Hospital. Her sudden death came as a shock, but friends blamed bullying. “She got bullied in the school, especially by the football players, because she looked different and had piercings,” said senior Amanda Liquori. Another friend, who asked that her name be withheld, was at her side when she jumped and had no idea what she planning. That friend also said football players targeted Garcia. “She wouldn’t have done it if she wasn’t bullied,” another pal, Alissa Compitello, wrote on Twitter. “All this girl wanted was to be left alone. And nobody could do that for her.” Apparently bullying wasn’t the only pain in Felicia’s life. Gabriella Leone, whose younger sister witnessed the incident, said Felicia, who lived in foster homes, “had a terrible life on top of all the heartache — bullies at school taunted her and spread rumors. I hope all bullies get punished!” Felicia had written online of her depression. On her Instagram account, she had a picture of her eyes crossed over by the word “Depressed” with the caption, “Just because someone is smiling doesn’t make them happy.” Chancellor Dennis Walcott is in touch with the girl’s legal guardian, according to Department of Education spokeswoman Margie Feinberg. Two years ago, another Tottenville HS student killed himself at the same station. R.I.P. Felicia, remember, it’s never as bad as you think it is. Get help, don’t let bullying ruin your life.
