Celebs Rip Grammys Over Chris Brown Lovefest

Chris Brown managed to stir up some controversy once again at the 2012 Grammy Awards … even if all the singer did was show up, perform and win. Some stars, including Miranda Lambert, wondered why the Best R&B Album winner / convicted felon was featured on not one but two performances. On Monday, the country superstar tweeted “Chris Brown twice? I don’t get it. He beat on a girl … Not cool that we act like that didn’t happen.” “He needs to listen to Gunpowder and lead and be put in his place. Not at the Grammys.” That’s a reference to Lambert’s 2007 hit “Gunpowder and Lead.” The lyrics to that song describe a woman preparing to kill her abusive husband when he gets out of jail. “His fist is big but my gun’s bigger,” she sings. Lambert isn’t the only celeb who questioned Brown’s Grammy presence. “Chris Brown … (bites tongue) have we forgiven him?” Michelle Branch asked. Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet posted, after watching Brown’s Grammy performance , “Are Chris Brown’s mom and dad CBS and Grammy Brown?” “Looks like all is forgiven (with) Chris Brown,” Sherri Shepherd tweeted. “That’s all I’ll say.” As of right now, Chris has not responded to these Tweets. “Team Breezy we have come such along way and I’m so appreciative of you guys!!!! No matter what anyone says…. WE MADE IT!!” was all he wrote. Chris infamously assaulted then-girlfriend Rihanna on the eve of the 2009 Grammys, an incident some feel should have kept him from this year’s show. Your take: Did the Grammys show Chris too much love?

Cheryl Cole and Derek Hough: Back On!

British pop star / X Factor judge Cheryl Cole and Dancing With the Stars professional Derek Hough have reconciled their relationship, according to reports. He allegedly dumped her last spring (or got dumped by her, depending on what you read), but apparently neither can resist each other … or Coldplay. They were caught canoodling in the audience at a recent show! The pair, who started dating in early 2010 after the former split with her husband, then split in mid-2011, reportedly began seeing each other again recently. Enter the obligatory romance-rekindling Coldplay concert. A witness said of Cole and Hough: “They were really slushy. He stood with his arms round her waist as they mouthed the words to each other for ‘Fix You’.” Who doesn’t want to drop their pants when that comes on? [Photo: WENN.com]

Mitt, Schmitt: Who’s Your Favorite Celebrity Mormon?

With wins in the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary, Mitt Romney has a leg up in the race for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012. If he won the right to face our first African-American President, Barack Obama, Romney would become the first Mormon on a major party ticket. While this is hardly an endorsement of Romney, good for him, and for voters embracing candidates of varying religions, backgrounds and ethnicity. In honor of Mitt, here are a bunch of celebrity Mormons you might not know about! Who’s your favorite? Read THG’s Top 10 and vote in our poll: 10. Mitt Romney . He’ll never be accused of being electrifying on the campaign trail, but he wins. And least so far. Plus, he’s got the hair. 9. Jon Huntsman . Another family man and GOP presidential candidate who embraces his Mormon beliefs. Doing not quite as well in the polls . 8. Amy Adams of Enchanted fame was raised Mormon. Who knew! 7. Marie Osmond and her siblings grew up in a strict Mormon home. 6. Aaron Eckhart of The Dark Knight fame was raised Mormon. Eckhart even transferred to BYU and graduated from the Mormon University in ’94. 5. Paul Walker . Fast. Furious. Mormon! 4. Katherine Heigl . While no longer a practicing Mormon, the former Grey’s Anatomy star credits her LDS upbringing with shaping her character. 3. Lacey Schwimmer . DWTS pro and Mormon (as are our co-#1s). 2. David Archuleta . The American Idol runner-up recently announced he’s stepping out of the limelight to embark on a two-year Mormon mission. 1. Julianne and Derek Hough . The Footloose star and DWTS pro siblings pretty much hit the genetic jackpot with looks, charm and physical abilities. Who’s your favorite celebrity Mormon?

‘Dancing With The Stars’: Ricki Lake Reclaims The Top

Rob Kardashian also impresses the judges. By Kelley L. Carter Ricki Lake and Derek Hough Photo: ABC The talk-show queen has regained her crown! Ricki Lake turned in a stellar performance during Monday night’s “Dancing With the Stars.” Lake impressed with her samba, and she and her partner Derek Hough brought the audience — and the picky judges — to their feet during the semifinals telecast of the show. Ricki Lake and Derek Hough Lake earned a perfect score during the first round from the judges; hard-to-please head judge Len Goodman even cheered her on, saying, “Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous!” She later came back to dance the tango, which earned her another pair of perfect 10s and a nine from Carrie Ann Inaba. J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff After coming off last week’s impressive dances — he earned back-to-back perfect 30s — the war hero failed to impress the judges this week. He hurt himself earlier at dance rehearsals — he had a twisted ankle — and his paso doble earned a mere 23 points. His second dance was the tango; the judges gave him 27/30 for it. Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke The reality-TV star took on the samba for his first-round dance, and the judges liked what they saw. “Rob, it was amazing,” Inaba told him. He earned 28 out of 30 for that dance. For his second-round dance, he danced the tango, which earned him 27 points. Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy The Olympian failed to channel her sexy the way the judges have been chiding her to do all season long. Her first-round performance was the paso doble, and the judges gave her a paltry 21/30, saying it was too aggressive. Her second dance was a tango, and they said she improved, but not by much. She earned 24/30. Who had your favorite dance this week. Let us know in the comments!

‘Dancing With The Stars’: Rob Kardashian Steps It Up

Ricki Lake earns top score, but Rob and J.R. Martinez aren’t far behind. By Kelley L. Carter Cheryl Burke and Robert Kardashian Photo: ABC There wasn’t much scary on Monday night’s “Dancing With the Stars.” The reality competition show is down to the last six couples, and nearly everyone stepped up their game on the show’s Halloween show. Everyone dressed the part — some scary, some just plain old fun — and the judges seemed mostly pleased. Once again at the top of of the leaderboard were Ricki Lake and Derek Hough, who earned three 9’s from the judges. The show also had the celebrities doing a group dance the judges also scored, which was added to their individual scores. David Arquette and Kym Johnson Arquette and his partner took on the cha-cha-cha dressed as a magician and a magician’s assistant, and the judges found the dance to be, well, magical. “Lots of tricks and lots of treats. You’ve turned yourself into a dancer here. You need a little bit more rhythm, but overall, well done,” said head judge Len Goodman. 24/30 J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff The war hero has been consistently impressing judges — and voters, apparently — with his dance moves. On Monday night, he took on the tango, and the judges for the most part thought the duo captured the tone of the piece and found the dance to be upbeat, precise and sharp. “Another very solid performance. This timing was so hard and you actually lost it a few times. You know it,” judge Bruno Tonioli said. 25/30 Nancy Grace and Tristan MacManus Dressed as a devilish duo, the judges thought their routine was off this week. The big problem was the footwork, they said. “Well we have our good days and we have our not-so-good days. Last week was a good day, this week was not so good. I watched you, and you are having the time of your life, and I give you so much credit for that. But you sort of lost your choreography,” judge Carrie Ann Inaba said. 21/30 Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke The Kardashians took on the tango this week and hoped to make the judges rethink the relative low scores they gave him last week. In the audience to cheer him on was his sister Kourtney, her boyfriend Scott and their son, Mason. (Missing, of course, was his sister Kim Kardashian, who filed for divorce after 72 days of marriage with NBA player Kris Humphries.) As for the performance, the judges thought it was his best dance yet. “I thought you did a terrific job. Your footwork was good; it had the right amount of attack. … You did a terrific job. And this is a gruesome week, because we’ve got the team dance coming,” Goodman said. 25/30 Ricki Lake and Derek Hough The former talk-show hostess danced the paso doble (dressed as Little Red Riding Hood), and the judges said that in spite of her nursing an injury, they loved the shapes and twists that she made. “It was like a blizzard of passion and fear! Another incredible performance,” Tonioli said. 27/30 Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy The athlete danced the samba, and unlike past weeks, the judges thought that she coped well with what they considered to be a difficult dance. They liked the production and thought she danced as if her life depended on it. “There’s a newfound ease with you, and it’s beautiful to see,” Inaba said. 24/30 All the celebrities also danced a group dance — Team Tango and Team Paso Doble — and they got scored by the judges. Team Tango (Grace, Martinez and Arquette) danced to Rihanna’s “Disturbia,” and the judges thought they didn’t do as well when they danced individually as couples, but liked when they danced as a group. 23/30 Team Paso Doble (Lake, Kardashian and Solo) fared much better. They danced to Evanescence’s “Wake Me Up Inside,” and the judges thought it was powerful, moody and dramatic. 26/30 Who had your favorite dance Monday? Let us know in the comments!

Dancing With the Stars Top 7: Who Will Prevail?

As we know, the winner of Dancing With the Stars will be the man or woman to combines quality moves on the parquet with a fan base that calls and texts in droves. Scores do count for half the dancers’ aggregate scores each week, but when they differ by, say, 1-4 points, that leaves plenty of wiggle room for fans to close the gap. On last night’s Dancing With the Stars results show, Carson Kressley was sent home after posting the lowest scores Monday. But it won’t always be that predictable. We’ve already seen a pair of surprise ousters in Chynna Phillips and most of all Kristin Cavallari . Rob Kardashian has been undeservedly in the bottom three twice. Is Rob at risk of meeting the same fate as K-Cavs, or is he winning over fans as well as the judges? How much longer can Chaz Bono and his two left feet last? As of right now, it looks like Ricki Lake and J.R. Martinez are on a collision course for the finals, but anything can happen. That’s why we ask for your take here: Who will win Dancing With the Stars?
