LisaRaye is launching her very own collection of jeans with PZI, the retailer that creates “the ultimate fit in denim for the woman with curves.” Due out this summer, LisaRaye was involved with the design, material selection and structure of the line. Offered in sizes 4 to 18, and in four different lengths, the denim was designed “with no gape at the waist [and] more room in the hips, rear, and thighs.” “I believe in this jean line. It contours the body and holds us in. It has stretch to it. I’ve designed some really pretty designs,” she said. From the look of the promo photos, the LisaRaye collection boasts several styles and cuts, but retains one similarity: they’re all white. And can you blame her? The color has become her trademark. She is the queen of wearing white – even after Labor Day. We’ll even get the chance to watch her audition models for the new line of denim when she returns to our television screens with the second season of her reality series “LisaRaye: The Real McCoy” on April 7 at 9pm on TV One. So when the Femme Fatale singer needed to make sure she was at her sexiest in promotional photos for the album, she called upon the legendary design duo. “We love Britney and we love to dance to her new songs!” Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the design team behind D&G, told U.K.’s Telegraph about the pop star. “We can’t wait to hear the whole album!” In photos, Spears looks hot sporting three designs by the duo. In one photo, she rocks a polka-dot body suit with platform peep-toe heels. In another shot, Spears sits on a bathroom cabinet, gazing into a mirror, while looking glamorous in a buttery gown made of a silk bustier and matching chiffon skirt. She pairs the look with tie-up platforms. Now that the Weinsteins have succeeded in cutting The King’s Speech down to a PG-13 rating, the real battle begins. It’s time to prepare a new set of marketing materials to let families everywhere know that can bring the kids without fears of exposure to the F-word. Now the first poster for this new cut has hit and… it’s certainly not subtle. But just in case the Weinsteins decide that this design isn’t bringing the families in droves like they hoped, I’ve drafted up a few alternate versions that may get the job done.
