She’s going out of her way to prove herself.” How so? She’s hanging out with Rob’s friends , making a point to say hello to Selena Gomez and Perry at the Kids’ Choice Awards last month. She’s going out of her way to interact with fans and even sign autographs in public. She is “ upping Kristen’s style game ,” according to Glamour . Will these changes stick? Will they make a difference? Will they mean that one of those magazine headlines that scream Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are Getting Married might one day come true? Let’s hope so.

Via MyFoxDetroit : The city of Detroit faces a major financial crisis and one member of city council thinks President Barack Obama should step in and help. City Council member JoAnn Watson said Tuesday the citizens support of Obama in last month’s election was enough reason for the president to bailout the struggling the city. “Our people in an overwhelming way supported the re-election of this president and there ought to be a quid pro quo and you ought to exercise leadership on that,” said Watson. “Of course, not just that, but why not?” Nearly 75 percent of Wayne County voters pulled the lever for Obama in November. “After the election of Jimmy Carter, the honorable Coleman Alexander Young, he went to Washington, D.C. He came home with some bacon,” said Watson. “That’s what you do.” Young served as Detroit’s mayor for 20 years and served as vice chairman of the Democratic National Committee from 1977 to 1981. The White House has expressed no plans to bailout the cash-crunched city that some experts say could run out of money by the end of the year. The federal government has bailed out cities in the past, however. In 1975, President Gerald Ford extended more than $2 billion in credit to New York City to help it avoid a financial collapse. D’Andre Lane denied abusing and killing his 2-year-old daughter, Bianca Jones, but the Detroit dad still was sentenced to life in prison with no parole Monday. Lane, 33, told the court before his sentencing that he loved his daughter and all of his children. He said he didn’t abuse the children but did discipline them. “I understand you want to see someone take the fall, but you have yet to bring any evidence forward that says my daughter is dead,” Lane said. Banika Jones, Bianca’s mother, supported Lane’s innocence. “There’s a murder conviction , and she’s not legally dead,” Jones said of Bianca, who would’ve been three in November. “They made a mistake and I intend to correct it.” A Wayne County jury found Lane guilty of murder and first-degree child abuse in October in the disappearance of his daughter; the case remains unsolved. Judge Vonda Evans also sentenced Lane to 11-30 years for first-degree child abuse, saying he used manipulation, mental abuse and discipline to control others. “You beat and verbally abused her to others and you destroyed her mentally,” Evans said. “Physically you took her around and treated her body like a rag doll, putting her in a car without food and diapers and lied about a car-jacking in a city plagued with violence.” Evans said Lane lied about the car-jacking because he underestimated the attention it would get. Police and about 1,100 residents conducted a week-long search for the child. At 9:45 p.m. December 2, 2011, Lane called 911 and told dispatchers he was carjacked by two men in the area of East Grand Boulevard and Brush Street in Detriot. He said the alleged assailants drove away with his daughter, who was strapped in a car seat. The Mercury Grand Marquis that Lane was driving was found blocks away, with the engine running and the doors open. The car seat was there, but Bianca was gone. “Now you will face what you tried to escape with your life,” Evans told Lane, who was taken out of the courtroom after the sentencing and called Evans a liar.

Oh wait, that’s right; Rihanna’s dad has a violent history too. Ronald Fenty has more than forgiven the bad boy for his assault and is now hoping he asks for her hand in marriage. “Whatever makes her happy. I hope one day she will get married,” he told Life & Style. “Everyone adores Chris; he’s a super guy.” Why does he have so much love for the star? “The family loved Chris Brown before they even met him,” Fenty continued. “I always thought he was extremely talented. He always gave me great respect.” Rihanna, 24, and Brown, 23, began dating in 2008, but their relationship ended when he brutally assaulted her one year later. However, the two have seemingly rekindled their romance after Brown broke up with girlfriend Karrueche Tran at the beginning of October 2012. Outspoken Fenty has made controversial comments in the past regarding his famous daughter. In addition to speaking out about her love life, he has also passed judgement on her figure. In March 2012, he admitted to Heat magazine he would tell the Bajan beauty if she had put on weight. “I actually thought she was a little fat, the last time I saw her,” he said. “But when I saw her at this year’s Grammy’s, I thought she was back to her normal size. “I used to joke with her, Robyn (Rihanna’s first name ) you’re getting too fat.” Let’s give him the Dad of the Year Award.
