Of all the revelations on tonight’s long-awaited Bruce Jenner-Diane Sawyer interview , one of the most surprising may have come when Jenner revealed that the first of his many kids and step-kids to learn about his gender identity was none other than Kim Kardashian. Bruce stated that Kim saw him wearing a dress several years before he shared his secret with his other kids. Kim apparently had no visible reaction to the sight of her stepfather dressed as a woman. As Bruce tells it, she simply “got in her car and went for a drive.” When his youngest daughters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, spotted him wearing a dress on their in-home security camera shortly thereafter, they were similarly drumbstruck, believing, Bruce says, “that it was not something they could discuss.” Kim initially struggled with Bruce’s hidden identity, but during a recent hear-to-heart with Jenner, she revealed that a surprising source of compassion helped her come around. Bruce says Kim said to him, “You know what turned me around? Kanye.” “I can be married to the most beautiful woman in the world,” Kanye reportedly said to Kim. “I can have the most beautiful daughter in the world. I have that. But I’m nothing if I can’t be myself.” So it looks like the reports of Kim fully supporting Bruce on his journey were entirely true, and the rumors of her being embarrassed by her beloved stepdad were simply the most vicious kind of tabloid rumor.
