‘The Diary Of Justin Bieber’: Check Out Two More Sneak Peeks!

In new ‘Diary’ clips, Justin Bieber rehearses ‘Eenie Meenie’ with Sean Kingston and does vocal exercises lying on the floor. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber Photo: MTV News & Docs While MTV News has been following Justin Bieber all around Manhattan as he promotes his new album, My World 2.0, earlier this year, his life was being documented by a camera crew for a new special about him, airing this weekend. On Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET, fans can get a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to be the teen idol in MTV’s “The Diary of Justin Bieber.” In one clip from the special, Bieber is lying on his back with his backup singers all around him doing vocal exercises by singing the phrase “I know” over and over again. In another clip, Bieber, his backup singers and Sean Kingston groove and practice their track “Eenie Meenie” before Bieber sings his part all on his own. In other clips from the show, Bieber is seen on a promotional tour for the album performing for various crowds and even playing a little basketball during his downtime. When asked how he finds inspiration for his love songs, he tells a reporter that anyone can find and experience love at any time. “It’s weird when people say, ‘You’re only 15,’ because I know I am only 15, but at the same time I think at any age you can experience love,” he said. “Whether you’re 80 or 5, you’re always gonna … I don’t know. There’s a difference between love and being in love, because you can love someone but not necessarily be in love. So I think I’ve loved girls, but I don’t know — I haven’t been in love before.” Are you excited for Justin’s “Diary”? Let us know in the comments! MTV News will be rolling out previews from “The Diary of Justin Bieber” all week — don’t miss the full show, airing on MTV Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET! Justin Bieber Beats Nick Cannon At Bowling During My World 2.0 Party

‘He’s about to take over the world,’ Cannon says of Bieber’s newfound success. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber Photo: James Devaney/ Getty Images NEW YORK — Not only can Justin Bieber celebrate the release of his sophomore album My World 2.0, but he also rose to victory against Nick Cannon at his bowling-themed release party at Lucky Strike Lanes in Manhattan. It’s made even sweeter since Cannon seemed pretty sure he was going to beat Bieber at his own game. Only minutes before he stepped inside to compete against Bieber, he spoke to MTV News about his plans to kick his butt at the game. “I’m going to! I’m about to show Justin that he has no skills,” he said. “He can’t bowl. We privately had this conversation and he said that his game is only decent. My game is ill. I’m next-level — I’m like the Tiger Woods of bowling, but without all the drama.” And while Beiber is seen bowling in his music video for his single “Baby,” Cannon had been hitting the lanes to train for his bout against Bieber. “Practicing and everything,” he shared. “Justin’s gonna get it. I got the bowling attire. I’m ready to bowl.” But as it turned out, Cannon was all talk and was taken down by Bieber and lost to him in their big match. Despite losing to him, does Cannon have a case of Bieber fever? “Kind of. I feel it coming on. That kid is definitely busy … he’s got a lot of hot stuff going on. He’s about to take over the world. We’re gonna see him live and in person [tonight].” MTV News will be rolling out previews from “The Diary of Justin Bieber” all week — don’t miss the full show, airing on MTV Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET! Justin Bieber Fans Say What They Love Most About Him

‘His voice, his hair, his smile, his eyes and everything else,’ one fan tells MTV News about Justin Bieber’s most endearing qualities. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber fans Photo: MTV News Justin Bieber certainly has a devoted fanbase: In an amazingly short amount of time, they’ve taken him from Internet sensation to a household name. And during a week that sees a flurry of Bieber activity — his My World 2.0 came out today (March 23), he appeared twice on “The View” this week, he’s performing at the Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday and “The Diary of Justin Bieber” airs on MTV Sunday at 7:30 p.m. — MTV News asked his fans to share a few other reasons why they love him. “He has a great personality. He came from Canada and he connects with his fans a lot,” Amanda Pine shared with MTV News. “And he tries really hard to see everyone.” While the fans certainly love his music, they were quick to weigh in on the 16-year-old pop star’s looks. Another fan, Danielle Cerroni, said, “His voice, his hair, his smile, his eyes and everything else.” Like Cerroni, Stephanie DaSilva says there’s not much she doesn’t love about the 16-year-old pop star. “That’s not even a question. It’s everything!” she gushed. “I like his hair. I like his eyes. I love his lips. Nice butt!” “How can you not [love him]?” Brooke Bonstead said. “He’s just amazing. I mean, come on, everyone has Bieber fever. He’s a teenage boy. All teenage girls like him and he can relate to all teenage people.” Rachel Bower admitted that while he relates to teens, he’s not normal teen. “[I like him] a lot — like an infinite amount,” she said. “I just think he’s really talented and he’s really mature for his age. He’s not an ordinary teeny-bopper performer.” MTV News will be rolling out previews from “The Diary of Justin Bieber” all week — don’t miss the full show, airing on MTV Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET! Is Justin Bieber The Next Justin Timberlake? Experts Weigh In

We examine the teen idol’s career prospects following My World 2.0. By James Montgomery Justin Bieber Photo: Larry Marano/ Getty Images Justin Bieber is only 16 years old and has just an EP and one full-length ( My World 2.0, which, if you’re reading this, you’ve probably already purchased) in his discography, but it’s never too early to start asking: What’s next? More specifically, where does Bieber go from here? Barring some colossal event — meteorite, sandstorm, etc. — My World 2.0 will debut at #1 on next week’s Billboard albums chart, with some speculating that it could sell upward of 500,000 copies in its first week of release. Next month, he’ll perform on “Saturday Night Live,” and in June, he’ll launch an arena tour. But what happens after that? How will Bieber’s career pan out? It’s insanely early to posit questions such as these, but when an artist manages to capture the pop-music zeitgeist in the way Biebs has (and do it at such a young age), sometimes you’ve just got to ask. So we reached out to some experts to see just how high Bieber can go. Turns out, they tend to think the answer is already right before our eyes, in the careers of some of today’s pop luminaries. “He is signed with Usher, and he’s the same age as Usher was when he first became a star. Justin Timberlake too. So they’re the model for him,” Entertainment Weekly music critic Leah Greenblatt said. “Like both of them, he keeps it sort of clean, so moms can feel good about playing his music too. I can see him playing a bunch of instruments, so perhaps, like Justin, he moves into making more organic music, and each of his albums get progressively more interesting.” “It depends on how much he continues to put himself out there. The model is a Lady Gaga or a Ke$ha, for better or worse,” music critic Maura Johnston added. “Gaga is always reaching out to her fans, and Bieber is very savvy about that. But the question is: What happens after his fans see him live? Where else is there to go as far as experiencing him as a fan?’ So he has to keep that momentum going. “And that’s why I say Ke$ha, because that’s sort of the downside of this. She’s sort of retreated into herself and believing her own B.S. It’s a turnoff to fans. Whereas with Gaga, she’s super invested in communicating with them,” she continued. “And Bieber is similar. But his hooks are his good looks and the fact that his fans think they can tweet him and get his attention. Teen idols are supposed to be really untouchable. But Bieber really isn’t like that. You might not get a phone call from him, but there’s a chance he might ‘@ reply’ to you on Twitter, and that’s enough.” A lot of what happens to Bieber seems to rely on his willingness to keep building on that momentum, and that bodes favorably. Because by all accounts, he is blessed with a rather prodigious work ethic. Music is what he does for fun. “He seems like an instinctive performer. He loves working,” Greenblatt said. “I know from his label rep that he plays drums and guitar on almost every track on the album, and he can learn a new instrument in like 30 minutes. So he’s sort of a savant, which is something you don’t get from a packaged tween star.” But all the hard work in the world can only take Bieber so far. Because at some point down the road, he’s going to face the great teen-idol equalizer: He is going to grow up, his voice is going to change, and he’s going to have to make the leap from boyhood to (young) manhood. It’s a roadblock many can’t seem to overcome. Will Bieber buck the trend? Only time will tell. “The big question is: What will happen when his voice breaks?” Greenblatt said. “But supposedly, your voice is like a muscle, where if you work on it, it won’t break. So who knows? If he tops out at 5-foot-3, that may be an issue too.” “He definitely has to capitalize on now, on being younger, while at the same time trying to figure out what he’s going to do next,” Johnston added. “That’s tough to do. It’s interesting to watch today’s teen idols attempting to move on. Nick Jonas is trying it now, with middling results. I mean, I like that he has members of the New Power Generation in his band, but I don’t think kids understand it.” Then again, all the postulating in the world only matters so much. Ultimately, it will be Bieber’s fans who have the final say about his career, and, well, they don’t show any sign of deserting him anytime soon. “How can you not [love him]?” fan Brooke Bonstead told MTV News. “He’s just amazing. I mean, come on, everyone has Bieber fever. He’s a teenage boy. All teenage girls like him, and he can relate to all teenage people.” “[I like him] a lot, like an infinite amount,” another Bieber fan, Rachel Bower, added. “I just think he’s really talented and he’s really mature for his age. He’s not an ordinary teenybopper performer.” What do you think is next for Justin? Do you think he’ll have a long career? Let us know in the comments! Game Recruits RZA, Dr. Dre For R.E.D. Album All-Star Production Cast

‘The only person I’m upset I didn’t work with on this album is DJ Premier,’ he tells Mixtape Daily. By Shaheem Reid The Game Photo: Moses Robinson/ WireImage The O.D.: A Mixtape Daily Exclusive Game said he got just about everybody he wanted for his upcoming The R.E.D. Album — he has some of the finest tracks featuring guests from all over the hip-hop hemisphere. “I feel great about this album,” he said recently after going over tracks at Dr. Dre’s house. “It’s back full-force Aftermath and I’m conjoined with Star Trak.” (Pharrell Williams is one of the LP’s executive producers.) “I got this colorful movement over here where it’s beautiful music on this side [with Star Trak] — then when I need to go dark or super grown and sexy, I got Dre over here. The combination is crazy — mixed in with a Cool & Dre track and RZA track and all the sh– I been doing. The only person I’m upset I didn’t work with on this album is DJ Premier. I feel his sh– would have been perfect for this all-star producer cast that I have. One Premier track would have did me just fine. I would have murdered that sh–. But we ain’t get it in, ’cause he was doing a whole bunch of sh– for Christina Aguilera. I’m just Game. So I gotta just wait for the next album.” The Compton MC said he lets the fans know from the start of the album that he’s not playing. “They got the intro to the album, which is titled ‘Infrared,’ ” Game said of Cool & Dre. “It’s one of them joints that Shaheem is gonna love. All the real hip-hop fans, to hear me rap, how I’m rapping on my intro, it’s gonna f— people up. Before you get to #2, you gonna already know I’m serious. I’m spitting. I go in. I done played this for RZA, Dre, Pharrell — all the people who heard this is like, ‘N—a, that’s crazy!’ I haven’t spit like I’m spitting on the intro since ‘300 Bars.’ I touched every topic. Everything involving me, I touched.” We’ll get a prelude to Game’s work with Cool & Dre on a song called “Shake,” as it’s one of the highlights on his upcoming Gangsta Grillz mixtape with DJ Drama, All Red Everything. Game tells a mayhem-filled story over the beat that incorporates the looped word “shake” throughout. ” ‘Shake’ is bad, man,” Game said. ” ‘Shake’ is crazy. Cool & Dre brought it in and I went through the ‘shakes.’ I told the story, cutting myself off right before the ‘shake’ came in [on the track]. I didn’t write none of that down. I went in and said the whole sh– straight through. “You know what it is about them?” he asked about Cool & Dre. “They are more like my brothers. I can go in with the any moment and make a song. The streets is gonna f— with it.” For other artists featured in Mixtape Daily, check out Mixtape Daily Headlines .

Snoop Dogg Has ‘Believable’ Superpower In ‘Malice N Wonderland’ Movie

‘I’m able to deflect bullets and cause a great range of sound that can blow your eardrums out,’ he tells MTV News. By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Shaheem Reid Snoop Dogg Photo: MTV News Snoop Dogg is re-releasing his Malice N Wonderland album as a two-part project, a suite of new music and a pre-packaged movie, which, according to the veteran rapper, will help explain the concept behind the collection. Snoop told MTV News last week that More Malice, featuring new collaborations with Jay-Z and Kid Cudi, should provide fans with more than enough Snoop. “I like to be very creative. I like to give people all of Snoop Dogg when I give them an album,” he said. “I felt like on the [ Malice N Wonderland ] record, I didn’t give all of Snoop Dogg like I really could have. I had to make the record be about 12 songs and conceptually stick to the script as opposed to what I normally do with 20 to 21 songs on the album and overdose people. So what I did [on More Malice ] was, I pulled back from the music and put a little more thought in the creative side as far as the visual aspects.” In addition to the slate of new tracks, Snoop recruited Jamie Foxx, comedian Michael Collier and upstart MC Nipsey Hussle for the “Malice N Wonderland” movie; Snoop plays Malice and eventually makes it from his unruly surroundings to Wonderland, the same concept as the album. During his movie journey, Snoop has a lone superpower: the ability to control things with his hands. “I’m able to deflect bullets and cause a great range of sound that can blow your eardrums out,” he said. “You know, I can just do many different things, whatever I want to do with my hands. This is the power that I wanted that people could identify with that wasn’t so farfetched, like me flying through the sky or going through a building. That’s just kind of hard to believe, but the way I got it, it’s believable.” The California MC has had success in Hollywood throughout his musical career, from roles in “Starsky & Hutch” and “Bones” to “Baby Boy.” “I like playing different characters that are diverse, that are farfetched from your imagination to where you feel like, ‘Only Snoop Dogg can do that,’ ” he said. “When I played Huggie Bear [in ‘Starsky’], it was like a natural fit for me. When I played Bones, it was like a stretch for me. When I played in ‘Baby Boy,’ it was like something I should’ve been doing. So I tried to do things that throw you for a loop, but at the same time, when you see them, you say, ‘Wow, only Snoop Dogg could do it.’ And I felt like this was the perfect look for me right now.” Snoop will host a star-studded premiere for “Malice N Wonderland” on Monday (March 22) at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. Nicole Scherzinger ‘Scared’ Of Pam Anderson On ‘Dancing With The Stars’

‘She is just fierce to me,’ the Pussycat Doll says of her co-star. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Larry Carroll Nicole Scherzinger Photo: MTV News She promises to bring lots of energy to the dance floor as one of the new contestants on the 10th season of “Dancing with the Stars” — but Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, who has an extensive dance background, admitted that she’s scared of one castmember this year: Pam Anderson. “Talk about dance experience,” she told MTV News. “She is just fierce to me. I’m scared of her, actually. She is the one. I don’t know if I’ll be able to take her down but she’s going to be hot and sizzling. She’s gonna do her thing.” Scherzinger herself has also made quite a career out of being sexy, but fans tuning in week after week expecting Scherzinger to turn up the hotness for the show may be surprised — that’s not her thing this season. “Not at all! I will leave the sexy part to Pamela Anderson! Because she’s the hottest chick out there,” she gushed. “For one, I never tried to be sexy or anything — for me the music’s what brings out that sensuality. I’m just gonna be myself.” Not only will Nicole be Nicole, she also plans to just have a good time while out there with partner Derek Hough. “[I’m] just gonna have fun with it. In the show I’ll be able to connect with everyone in a completely different light. “With this show, I feel like people are so used to seeing me in a certain light — they think they know me, but they don’t,” she added . “I just want to connect with everyone out there in a completely different way. I’m gonna have a lot of fun.” Do you think Nicole should be scared of Pam? Who do you think will win “Dancing With the Stars”? Tell us in the comments!

‘The Diary of Justin Bieber’: Check Out A New Sneak Peek!

‘The Diary of Justin Bieber’ airs on MTV Sunday at 7:30 p.m., but you can get a new preview right here! By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber performs in Paris Photo: MTV News & Docs Justin Bieber is hard at work promoting his new LP, My World 2.0, this week, with appearances on “The View” and “The Late Show With David Letterman” on Tuesday (March 23, the day of his album’s release) and he’s performing at Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday. But on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET, fans can get a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to be Justin Bieber in MTV’s special, “The Diary of Justin Bieber.” In a new sneak peek from the special, Bieber performs his single “Baby ” at a radio station while wearing a winter hat. He then performs the song for a crowd of girls in an intimate setting — they knew every word as he told the crowd to “bounce, bounce.” And finally, he performs it in front of a bigger crowd, where he also tells the audience to bounce, gets up close with them, and finally causes a frenzy by tossing his baseball cap into the crowd. In another clip, Bieber is seen playing guitar and singing his My World song “Favorite Girl” to a crowd that knows every word. In a previously released sneak peek, Bieber is seen in France talking to a reporter about singing love songs at such a young age, explaining that people of virtually any age experience it. “It’s weird when people say, ‘You’re only 15,’ because I know I am only 15, but at the same time I think at any age you can experience love. Whether you’re 80 or 5, you’re always gonna … I don’t know. There’s a difference between love and being in love because you can love someone but not necessarily be in love. Justin Bieber Fans Come From All Over The World To ‘View’ Taping

‘I came all the way from the Philippines to see Justin,’ one fan says. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Rya Backer Justin Bieber performs on “The View” on Monday Photo: ABC While the crowd inside “The View” studio on Monday (March 22) was full of women who traveled from all over to hear the opinions of the show’s five hosts, the crowd outside the studio was mostly full of teenage girls hoping to either get inside to see Justin Bieber perform or, at the very least, catch a glimpse of him leaving the studio. How long had they been waiting? “Well, since 1 o’clock [Sunday], but then we went home and took a break, but then we saw people here at 10 o’clock at night so then we came down and that’s when we started waiting,” April Augostineloi told MTV News. “We’ve waited for so long, we went to the Roosevelt Field Mall. We never go to see him. We’ve only went to one concert … and the concert was amazing and we really hope we get to see him. We really like him a lot.” Another fan, Amanda Pine, also waited hours to try and see Bieber on the show. “Well, I would bust out crying,” she shared, adding that she too missed out on a chance to see him at the mall. ” ‘Cause we waited at the mall for 22 hours and we got inside and when they said it was canceled, we just busted out crying.” Cassidy Mavros said that she had been waiting to see Bieber since 4 a.m. “He’s hot!” she exclaimed. “I will cry. We’ve been here since 4 this morning. We got up at, like, 2 [a.m.].” Lauren Famiano may have been on line earlier, if she and her pals hadn’t gotten lost on their way to “The View” studios. “I’m gonna cry. We’ve been here since 2 o’clock in the morning and we got lost here, so I hope we get in. We got here at like, 6:30, but we got lost in the city,” she explained. “So we had to find our way here.” Another fan, Stephanie DaSilva, added that if she didn’t get into the show she would “flip out … I woke up mad early for this. I told my teacher I would be here.” “Well, it’s my birthday on April 19, so I came all the way from the Philippines to see Justin Bieber,” fan Clara Giron explained. “I saw it on the Internet. I dragged my mom. I told my mom I’m going to see Justin Bieber here. I’m lined up. I’m starting to cry now. All my friends are Justin Bieber fans and I can’t believe I’m here,” she said. “Hopefully he sees this video — I want to tell him come over to the Philippines; everyone loves him there.” Related Videos Sneak Peek: ‘The Diary Of Justin Bieber’ Related Photos Behind-The-Scenes Of ‘Diary Of Justin Bieber’: Chelsea Piers Behind-The-Scenes Of ‘Diary Of Justin Bieber’: Paris

Justin Bieber Talks Girls, Family, Fame On ‘The View’

‘I just try and take one day at a time,’ he says of his meteoric rise to fame. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber performs on “The View” Monday Photo: ABC NEW YORK — Justin Bieber made history on “The View” as the first guest to make two appearances on the show in the same week. On Monday (March 22), not only did he perform a new track from his new album, My World 2.0 , which comes out tomorrow, he also sat down with the ladies to talk about his meteoric rise to fame and how he takes his family on the road with him. “I just try and take one day at a time. It’s been an amazing roller-coaster ride. My mom usually travels on the road. My grandma’s with me today,” he explained. “Usually I have a tutor, but this is release week so everything is crazy. I miss being able to go and hang out with my friends, but this is an amazing experience.” While Bieber fans lined up outside the studio to try and catch a glimpse of the pop star, inside the audience was full of older women who traveled across the country probably more to catch a glimpse of the show’s hosts than Bieber himself. Yet they kept their energy high for the teen phenom. This summer he’ll be hitting the road for his tour and admitted that having his mom by his side at all times isn’t always that easy. “You know, not a lot of 16-year-old boys are with their mom, so we bump heads sometimes. but we have the best relationship,” he said, adding that it’s easy for him to avoid temptations. “I have the greatest team with me and my mom’s on the road — I don’t want to let her down.” And when he wasn’t dishing to the ladies about his career, he was laughing at a YouTube video of him when he was 12 singing Aretha Franklin’s “Respect.” In a shot of him not shown on the show, he laughed at the footage and whispered to himself, “Oh my!” Citing girls as the inspiration for his new album, he even revealed his celebrity crush, other than Beyonc
