Man Murders Transgender Woman After She Embarrassed Him In Front Of His Friends Did embarrassment lead to the shooting death of a 21-year-old transgender woman in Maryland? Via CBS News : Police say 20-year-old Rico LeBlond shot and killed Zella Ziona, whose legal name was DeAndre Smith, on Oct. 15, because Ziona “began acting flamboyantly towards LeBlond and greatly embarrassed Leblond in front of his peers,” according to charging documents obtained by CBS affiliate WUSA. Investigators wrote in the document that the suspect and victim has been engaged in a “simmering dispute that had been escalating” as a result of their friendship becoming public. LeBlond is suspected of shooting Ziona multiple times in the head and groin. Police are considering hate crime charges against LeBlond, who is already facing a first degree murder charge. But the victim’s family tells WUSA that they’re already convinced the motive was hate. “I do believe in my heart that this was a hate crime,” said Kalany Thomas, Ziona’s aunt. Kalany Thomas and Sade Thomas, a cousin of the victim, both told WUSA that Ziona previously had trouble with people because she was a transgender woman. “I just want to know why?” Said Sade Thomas. “Why did you take such a beautiful, amazing soul like that and he was never the type of person to hate you or do anything to you?” Twice as many transgender or gender nonconforming people have been killed in the United States this year compared to last year, according to statistics gathered by the National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs, an advocacy group. Seriously?! Man Beats Stepfather For Spilling Kool-Aid A Florida (of course) man is facing assault charges after authorities say he got so irate at his stepfather that he punched him in the head. Why? Because he spilled his cup of Kool-Aid. Myrtle Beach Online reports: A 32-year-old man is facing assault charges after his stepfather claims they got into an altercation over spilled Kool-Aid. The 57-year-old victim told police he was at his home on Rockwood Drive around 11 p.m. Saturday, after he got into an argument with his stepson after the stepfather knocked over his cup of Kool-Aid. After becoming “irate” over the spilled drink, the younger man reportedly punched him in the head several times, causing a visible injury to the stepfather, according to the Rock Hill police report. The stepson reportedly fled from the area after the assault, and officers were unable to locate him after they arrived on scene. A short time later, police were called back to the Rockwood Drive home when the stepson returned, and officers reportedly found him hiding behind his bedroom door. The man was charged with third-degree assault and battery, and was transported to the Rock Hill city jail. SMH…was it really that serious???

NYPD Cop Randolph Holder Dies After Being Shot In The Head By Gunman A beloved NYPD housing officer was killed late last night , shot in the head by a gunman during a chase and gunfight on a pedestrian overpass above the FDR Drive in East Harlem, says officials. Via NY Daily News : Officer Randolph Holder, 33, was shot in the forehead by the callous gunman, who had stolen a bike and was being pursued by cops along the promenade hugging the East River around 8:30 p.m., Police Commissioner Bill Bratton said. The brave officer died at 10:22 p.m. at Harlem Hospital. A suspect, shot in the legs, was arrested. Holder, who emigrated from Guyana, was a third-generation police officer, following in his father and grandfather’s footsteps in the line of duty, Bratton said during a somber press conference at the hospital. The unmarried immigrant joined the NYPD in July 2010 and worked in Police Service Area 5, wearing Shield No. 13340 as he patrolled the public housing projects of East Harlem. Martese Johnson Files Federal Lawsuit Against Virginia Officers UVA student Martese Johnson has filed a federal lawsuit against the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control and three officers following a brutal and bloody arrest that went viral in March. According to The Root reports: The lawsuit claims that the ABC violated the 21-year-old’s constitutional rights, accusing agents of unlawfully detaining Johnson when he was arrested in the early-morning hours of March 18 following St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. Officers “brutally assaulted, seized, arrested and jailed Martese without probable cause and in violation of the United States Constitution, federal statutes and the laws of Virginia, believing (falsely and without sufficient information) that Martese had presented a fake identification card to gain entry to a restaurant and bar on University Avenue in the City of Charlottesville, Va.,” the lawsuit reads, according to the Post. The suit contends that the ID was valid. Johnson was charged with public intoxication or swearing and obstruction of justice without force, but those charges were dropped by Charlottesville prosecutor Warner Chapman, the Post reports We hope Martese finally gets the justice he deserves!

Really??? Daycare Leaves Baby Inside After Closing Parents of a 1-year-old are currently fighting to have a Chicago daycare shutdown for leaving their baby behind after closing. According to the couple, their child Journee was left in the dark at the daycare facility after workers closed the operation and aimlessly left their child to roam free. Why? Because they thought she was a toy doll. Fox 32 Chicago reports: A Chicago father went to go pickup his 1-year-old daughter at daycare on Monday. But instead, he found a locked building with all the lights shut off and his little girl crying alone inside. Now, dad Cornelius Jones and mom Quanesha Borum want ‘All Things Are Possible For Kids’ daycare shut down because police told them this is not the first time this has happened at the business. “I was ringing the bell and no one came to the door, so I called the number and no one answered the phone, so I called again like two more times and I was like, so I kicked the door like two times, then I heard my baby screaming in the background,” Jones said. When no one answered, he called 911 and his girlfriend, the baby’s mother. The fire department had to break in the front door, which workers were repairing Monday night. The baby, one-year-old Journee, was found crawling around in the back room of the daycare. “I was glad that she was OK, but I was like real mad, I was mad because how could you leave a baby in a daycare, how could a child go unaccounted for,” Jones said. And here’s what the daycare director had to say for herself…. The director, Tommie Butler, shielded her face from our camera but offered an explanation to Journee’s mother. “She said the lady that was in charge of Journee put her to sleep and once everybody got ready to leave, she told her that everybody was gone,” Borum said. “But my thing is, I come here and I sign her in and out, and so why wasn’t the list checked before everybody left?” The director told FOX 32 she is not sure who the last person at the daycare was, because she left about 15 minutes before the dad arrived. However, she told the baby’s mother that when workers checked the daycare, they thought her daughter was a doll. Police were on the scene as of 9PM and are continuing their investigation. The actor says he endorses Trump because he “worked his way from nothing” even thought his father was a millionaire… “I would 100 percent want to run Trump’s campaign. 100 percent,” he said. “I mean, first that’ll be the best party ever when he won, and second, Trump’s an easy sell… When you look at Trump, he’s an easy sell because you can sell him as the guy who worked his way up from nothing. And I think if you’re a ‘pull yourself up by your bootstraps’ candidate, people would identify with that.” So, does all this praise mean that Mackie is backing Trump for the 2016 presidency?
