Tony Elumelu Launches $100 Million Program To Help Black Businesses Tony Elumelu, an attributed philanthropist and African billionaire has just launched a program to help African American businesses under his Toney Elumelu Foundation according to Financial Juneteenth : In 2014, Elumelu, along with other prominent American and African business moguls, partnered to form a summit in Washington DC that consisted of more than 45 African and American business heads, along with 50 African business leaders. The common theme of the platform was to see to the improvement in the economic stance of Africans, as well as African-Americans, and to create advancement opportunities for all who interacted. The vision set forth by Tony Elumelu is one that he believes merges more than simple aid; it creates a solid partnership between Africa and the U.S. It’s the beginning of a business journey that takes a different, but more rewarding, path for all of those invested. The trip to Africa taken by President Obama was another key indicator that steps are being taken in the right directions to strengthen business ventures between Africa and America. These attempts coexist with The Tony Elumelu Foundation as it extends its principles for growth to businesses owned or started by women and minorities. The most significant move, by far, is the entrepreneurship program that The Tony Elumelu Foundation will spearhead. It is designed on a financial standing of $100,000,000 to be disbursed among entrepreneurs throughout the U.S and Africa. This newly formed relationship between Africa and the U.S is one that can create a positive mode of growth for African American entrepreneurs who stay the course and take the route the foundation has designed. Woman Shoots Driver After Getting Hit In With Slurpee During Fight A 36-year-old Michigan woman was arraigned Wednesday on assault, weapons and drug charges after she allegedly fired a shot at a man during an apparent road rage incident . Via Detroit News : Harrison Township resident India Marchea McDougal told deputies she opened fire after the man exited his 2003 Chevy pickup during an altercation in Harrison Township, approached her vehicle and tossed liquid in her face, according to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office. She was charged in 41B District Court with assault with intent to murder, felony firearm and possession of less than 25 grams of a controlled substance. Deputies found numerous bottles of prescription narcotics inside her vehicle, said Lt. John Michalke, spokesman for the sheriff’s office. McDougal faces life in prison on the assault charge. She received a bond of $750,000 cash or surety at arraignment and is due back in court Oct. 26. The woman was arrested around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday after a 40-year-old male driver called 911 to report that a female motorist in a 2004 Lexus SUV opened fire following an argument while stopped at a red light on Crocker at Metropolitan Parkway, officials said. McDougal also called police after the incident and said she opened fire because she was “scared for her life” after the man exited his truck, approached her car holding a Styrofoam cup and tossed liquid in her face. The man, a Warren resident, told police the altercation began when he “exchanged words” with McDougal a few blocks north at Crocker and Reimold, before both motorists proceeded to the red light. The complainant told authorities he exited his truck to confront McDougal about her driving. He said he remained on the driver’s side of his vehicle until the argument escalated and he returned to his vehicle. People ain’t isht!!!!

Half-Eaten Fish Comes Back To Life And Jumps Off Plate Video A new viral video shows a half-eaten raw fish wiggling its fin s and then leaping off the edge of the plate in a Japanese restaurant… Via WPXI reports: At the end of the clip, the fish makes one more attempt to escape before the cameraman runs away scared and shuts off the footage. One explanation for why the fish moved may be in the soy sauce. According to National Public Radio, “Because this (fish) was just killed, its muscle cells were still intact and operational. A live (fish) moves by sending an electrical command from its brain to its muscles. The commands say ‘contract’ or ‘relax.’” Since the fish’s brain was no longer operating, it couldn’t send signals. Salt acts as a substitute. And soy sauce is rich in salt. It caused the muscle cells to react. “Extra sodium (the salt) sends ions to the cell that trigger the cell to open up, creating a cascade of chemical activities that causes the cell to fire, so the muscle twitches,” NPR reports. Dee-1’s “Don’t Be Scared” Interview Fresh off an interview with Slim Jesus , David, Danni and Janne chatted with New Orleans rapper  Dee-1  about his celibacy, his Lil Wayne mixtape getting banned and his battle with depression. On his vow of celibacy till marriage: I’m living the pure life right now. Ain’t no sex, ain’t no self pleasure. I’m so open and transparent at this point in my life. I haven’t always been this way but at this point […] Ultimately I’m a very god fearing man, I don’t think if I try to do it the right way and honor God by not having sex before marriage I don’t think he’ll allow it to be bad. On his “Separated At Birth”mixtape being stalled by Young Money: I just went through some craziness with the whole YMCMB thing. I was gonna do a mixtape called “Separated At Birth” based on me and Lil Wayne; it got banned. The night before my mixtape was gonna come out my record label called me from New York frantically like; ‘You can’t put the mixtape out!’ They were like ‘Nah there’s potential that lawsuits might fall upon us, your physical safety might be at risk.’ All I was doing was taking Lil Wayne concepts and flipping them and doing a 180 on them to make them more conscious alternatives to his subject matter. Some of the songs are very direct though, one song in particular called “Call Your Bluff” might seem like I’m calling Lil Wayne out and I kind of was. On depression: “I realized that me doing it on my own and trying to talk to friends, that train has kind of run its course. It’s time for me to talk to people who do this for a living. A lot of this revolved around this time last year, I was out here for the BET Hip-Hop Awards and I just remember you’re supposed to smile on the red carpet, smile for interviews, I was on the cypher last year—meanwhile I”m just hurt on the inside. That’s an interesting dynamic to have to live through, it’s tough. Nene Leakes Says She’s Happier Since Leaving RHOA Former RHOA star Nene Leakes recently opened up about her reality TV past and says she feels much ‘happier’ since departying from the Bravo series. Leakes said this to CBS News : I feel like I’m happier. When you work in a lot of negativity, it becomes a part of who you are and I feel like I’m getting back to me, myself and I. It’s happy and free. It’s been a refreshing time away from the girls. I’ve done [the show] every season for eight years so I really needed to have a break. I’m not saying I would never ever go back, but it was good to step away. I’m a part of the Bravo family. I love Bravo, they love me — I have a great relationship with Andy Cohen. Everybody over there loves me. We all have a good relationship. I started the show and I’d go back whenever I felt like going back. I just don’t ever want to say never. When was the breaking point ? The whole time I was doing season 7, I was just dying. I was like, “Oh my God. I can’t take it anymore.” To me, when I really, really was like “This is it” was when I walked into scenes and the girls would just focus on me as if they wanted to argue with me. Do you think Nene will ever return to RHOA??

This…is…some…bull…isht. Reviews Say Cleveland Officer Acted Reasonably In Shooting Tamir Rice Two “independent” experts have concluded the unarmed shooting death of Tamir Rice was justified. According to a retired F.B.I. agent and a prosecutor, officer Tim Loehmann acted “justifiable” when he shot the 12-year-old within two seconds for holding a toy gun. The New York Times reports: Two outside investigators looking into the death of Tamir Rice have concluded that a Cleveland police officer, Tim Loehmann, acted reasonably in deciding last year to shoot when he confronted the 12-year-old boy carrying what turned out to be a replica gun. Those opinions, reached separately by a Colorado prosecutor and a former F.B.I. supervisory special agent, were released Saturday night by the Cuyahoga County prosecutor, Timothy J. McGinty, whose office will ultimately present evidence in the case to a grand jury to decide on possible criminal charges. “The question is not whether every officer would have reacted the same way,” Kimberly A. Crawford, the retired F.B.I. agent, wrote in her report, which noted that Officer Loehmann had no way of knowing Tamir’s gun was fake. “Rather, the relevant inquiry is whether a reasonable officer, confronting the exact same scenario under identical conditions could have concluded that deadly force was necessary.” The reports, which were commissioned by the prosecutor’s office, come almost 11 months after the shooting outside a recreation center on Nov. 22, 2014. Both Ms. Crawford and S. Lamar Sims, the prosecutor from Colorado, said in their reports that they were evaluating Officer Loehmann’s actions under the United States Constitution, not Ohio state law. “There can be no doubt that Rice’s death was tragic and, indeed, when one considers his age, heartbreaking,” Mr. Sims wrote. But he added that “Officer Loehmann’s belief that Rice posed a threat of serious physical harm or death was objectively reasonable as was his response to that perceived threat.” SMFH…this is just the latest bit of tragic news surrounding Tamir’s death. Nikki Mudarris Accuses Mally Mall Of Domestic Violence, Blackmail The cell-phone sex tape between Nikki Baby and Mally Mall that leaked last week was the result of blackmail, according to Nikki. Even though Mally Mall has denied having any direct involvement in the sex tape’s release, the reality starlet claims he threatened her with freaky footage about a week before the tape dropped, and there may be more explicit clips of the two on the way… Via TMZ : Nikki Mudarris is accusing her ex BF Mally Mall of not only leaking their sex tape … but also hitting her, destroying her property, and threatening to blackmail her. The “Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood” star says Mally is obsessed with her and told her he would “EXPOSE UR DIRTY P” if she didn’t stop being a bitch. She says a week later, he leaked a sex tape they had made. Mudarris makes the accusations in her request for a restraining order against Mally Mall. In the docs, she also says he’s threatened to kill himself. As for violence against her … Mudarris says Mally injured her nose back in February, and has destroyed her phones multiple times. Nikki seems to fear Mally’s exotic pets, because when asked about any weapons he might own — she points out his collection of wild animals and snakes. Interesting…Mally does have a couple of wild bobcat/cheetah mixes as a pets. Maybe he’s planning to sic them on Nikki?? Mudarris says Mally’s been hitting her up for money, and believes he’s recorded other sexual encounters without her knowledge to blackmail her. In other words — don’t be shocked if another sex tape leaks. A judge granted the restraining order … which requires Mally Mall to stay 100 yards away and have no contact with Nikki. Last night Mally sounded like he was just as done with Nikki as she is with him. Damn…well for the judge to have granted the order there must have been some serious threat. But seeing as how Nikki has a tendency to tear up Mally’s stuff as well, it’s probably best that the two stay away from each other… Instagram
