McStay Family Remains Found in California Desert, Mystery Deepens

Officials investigating four sets of human remains found in the Mojave Desert in California believe they are the bodies of the long-missing McStay family. McStay Family Remains Found? Nearly four years ago, the McStays left their home in suburban San Diego County on a chilly February night and piled into their Isuzu Trooper. Parents Joseph, 43, and Summer McStay, 40, and young sons Gianni and Joseph Jr. left behind two dogs, two bowls of popcorn and a mystery. Their car turned up four days later in the parking lot of a mini-mall near the U.S.-Mexico border, with a few birthday toys for one of the boys tossed in back. There was no sign of the McStays, until this week. Relatives never believed the theory that the family had left for Mexico; instead they suspected foul play. Now, tragically, it looks like they were correct. KFMB says officials have notified relatives that two sets of the human remains found in the desert were identified as Joseph and Summer McStay. San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies also uncovered the skeletal remains of two small bodies believed to be their boys, authorities said Friday. An off-road motorcyclist noticed a few scattered bones four days earlier, near what turned out to be a pair of shallow graves on the edge of the desert. After years of false leads and purported sightings in the region, San Bernardino County Sheriff John McMahon put at least part of the mystery to rest. He announced that the four McStays were homicide victims. But, the sheriff said, it would take more investigation before detectives could know how or why. “It’s not really the outcome we were looking for,” Joseph McStay’s brother, Michael, said, pausing at the podium of a San Bernardino news conference. “But it gives us courage to know they’re together and they’re in a better place.” The brother described the “tough road” his family has endured and asked the media to give them space for grieving. A half dozen relatives sat nearby, in tears. From the time the family disappeared in February 2010, detectives in San Diego County said they were baffled by the case, as the family had no enemies. No signs of forced entry or a struggle at the McStays’ home were found. No one reported a trace of them until the following Monday, when security guards at the small shopping center in San Ysidro, Calif., found the SUV. They had the car towed, seemingly just another belonging to visitors who illegally parked in the lot before taking the pedestrian crossing to Mexico. The Isuzu yielded no significant clues. Investigators wondered if the McStays had simply walked over the border, for reasons unknown, never to return. That theory gained traction when video from a surveillance camera at the border revealed pictures of a man and woman, each holding a small boy’s hand. Also raising eyebrows with police? An FBI forensic lab had picked through family computers and found other possible hints of an impending trip to Mexico. Someone had searched: “What documents do children need for traveling to Mexico?” Another search indicated a possible interest in Spanish lessons. Continue reading about it on the L.A. The Devil Made Him Do It: Lead Singer Of A Christian Heavy Metal Band Hires Hitman To Kill His Estranged Wife

A Christian singer hires a hitman to kill his wife? Oh the irony. Christian Singer Hires Hitman To Kill Wife According to NY Daily News The lead singer of Christian heavy metal band “As I Lay Dying” tried to hire a hit man to kill his estranged wife, authorities said. Grammy-nominated rocker Tim Lambesis, 32, was arrested in a sting operation 2 p.m. Tuesday in Oceanside, Southern California. Authorities said they sprang into action after hearing Thursday how he wanted someone to murder Meggan Lambesis — the mother of his three adopted children. “The information came to us late last week. We acted quickly on it. I believe we averted a great tragedy,” said Jan Caldwell of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. Heavily tattooed Lambesis, who lives 20 miles north of San Diego in Del Mar, was served with divorce papers by his wife in September 2012. The long-haired singer’s band, formed in 2000, has released six albums. Its most successful was “An Ocean Between Us” which soared to No. 8 on the Billboard charts in 2007. His group had recently returned from tour in Asia, reports Billboard.com. Metal Blade, the group’s record label, has not commented on the arrest. Lambesis, who was charged with solicitation of another to commit murder, is due in court for arraignment Wednesday or Thursday. If you hated your wife that much, why not just divorce her? Youtube

Not-So-Christian Mingle: One-Time Pops Perv For Forcing Sex On Fling Found On Dating Site

Be careful, your spiritual match might just be the devil in disguise. A California man used a Christian dating site to help find a woman to victimize in all the worst ways. Via NY Daily News reports : A California man was arrested this week after being accused of sexual assault a woman he met through an online Christian dating website. Sean Patrick Banks, an unemployed 37-year-old from Del Mar, allegedly used the website ChristianMingle.com to meet a woman in November police say he forced to have sex while visiting her home. Detectives have spent the past several months looking for the perpetrator, who allegedly called himself “Rylan Butterwood” and “Rylan Harbough” on the site, false names that gave police fits in trying to find the true culprit. Banks was charged with two counts of sexual assault and one of residential burglary. He has posted a $500,000 bail and pleaded not guilty. Banks could spend 36 years to life in prison if convicted. Police fear that Banks may have attacked other women. “After further follow-up in the investigation, the La Mesa Police Department is concerned there may have been more cases (involving) other women,” Lt. Matt Nicholass said. He believes additional victims could live outside of La Mesa. “This individual traveled around a lot,” Nicholass told KSWB-TV. “And we are concerned that there are people obviously outside of La Mesa or potentially outside of San Diego County that could be a victim.” Site officials say the company is doing it everything it can to help with the investigation. “We are in communication with the La Mesa police department and willing to assist them in any way we can with the investigation,” a ChristianMingle representative told KSWB, adding that the site takes “tremendous precautions” to protect daters. Banks’ next court hearing is scheduled for March 1. SMH. This is so scary. People please be careful about who you give your address to! Online dating is very dangerous. Our prayers are with that poor woman and we truly hope that the police are wrong and there aren’t any more victims.

Junior Seau Autopsy Report: No Alcohol, Drugs or Brain Damage Found

Former NFL star Junior Seau had no alcohol or illicit drugs in his system upon committing suicide this year, nor did he exhibit any signs of brain damage. According to the autopsy and toxicology reports released Monday by the San Diego County medical examiner, Seau’s medical history was unremarkable. His girlfriend, Megan Noderer, told police that Seau gave no indication that he planned to kill himself, making his decision to do so even more of a mystery. When Noderer returned to their home May 2 after a morning workout, she found Seau in bed, dead of a gunshot to the chest from a .357 magnum revolver. No note or “documents that were suicidal in nature” were found. The San Diego County medical examiner declared Seau’s death a suicide the next day. The 43-year-old was taking prescription medicines for orthopedic problems and insomnia, and was under the care of Chargers physician Dr. David Chao. The former Oceanside and USC football star drank only “socially [and] did not smoke, and there was no history of illicit drug use,” according to the report. Seau “had an unremarkable medical history” and exhibited no “suicidal ideation or confirmed suicide attempt,” Deputy Medical Examiner Dr. Craig Nelson wrote. Brain damage among football players due to concussions has become a controversial issue in the NFL, where Seau was a star for the San Diego Chargers. At the request of the Seau family, brain tissue was sent to the National Institutes of Health for more advanced investigation. May he rest in peace. [Photo: WENN.com]

50 Shades Of Slay: One-Time Believes Three Suspects In Killing Of Marine’s Wife Were Into Some Kinky Isht …

Marine’s Wife Suspected Killers Linked To Alternative Sex Lifestyle Keep thinking that “50 Shades Of Grey” business is a cool way to get your kicks. It’s looking like it got this woman murked and another one taking the rap for her nasty freakazoid lover. The three people accused of killing a 22-year-old Marine wifewere engaged in a sadistic sexual lifestyle that may be linked to her death, according to court documents released Wednesday. Detectives believe two of the defendants, a Marine and his girlfriend, may have sexually accosted Brittany Dawn Killgore before killing her, according to one document. Four search warrants, ordered released by an appeals court over the objections of the district attorney’s office, provide an inside look at the unusual relationship involving Staff Sgt. Louis Perez, 45; Jessica Lopez, 25; and Dorothy Maraglino, 36, all charged with murder in connection with Killgore’s slaying. The three shared a house in Fallbrook in northern San Diego County where detectives believe Killgore may have been killed either April 13 or April 14. Her body was found days later near Lake Skinner in Riverside County. Perez, Lopez and Maraglino routinely engaged in sex play that included bondage, punishment, masks, whips, spanking, cutting, a “sex dungeon,” an unspecified “sex apparatus” and role-playing of slave, servant and master, according to one document. “Because of Perez and Maraglino’s unusual sex fetishes, I believe they may have accosted Killgore for these reasons,” one San Diego County Sheriff’s Department detective wrote in a sworn affidavit accompanying a search warrant. The search warrants include an assertion that an unidentified woman was once held hostage in the “sex dungeon” until she submitted. On April 13, Killgore agreed to accompany Perez to San Diego for a dinner cruise, according to the documents. Within 13 minutes of Perez picking her up at her residence, Killgore texted a friend: “Help.”Unable to get a response from Killgore, the friend texted back: “Brittany, Are U OK? I am freaking out here.” Perez sent back texts via Killgore’s phone indicating that nothing was amiss, according to the search warrants. Perez was the first of the three to be arrested. Detectives found a stun gun and gloves with blood that matched Killgore in his truck. Perez told detectives that he had taken Killgore to the Whiskey Girl Club in the Gaslamp District in San Diego but that the two had become separated, according to a detective. Investigators believe Perez and Killgore never left Fallbrook. Lopez was arrested at a San Diego motel where she had been drinking heavily and had attempted suicide. In a profanity-laced seven-page note addressed “PIGS READ THIS,” she claimed to have killed Killgore out of jealousy and dumped her body “in almost plain sight.” In the note, Lopez referred to Perez as “Master” and Maraglino as “Mistress.” Lopez was Perez’s former girlfriend; Maraglino was his current girlfriend, according to detectives. Killgore’s body showed signs of strangulation and attempts at dismemberment, as Lopez’s note suggested, according to one search warrant. The documents were released at the request of several news organizations. Perez, Lopez and Maraglino have pleaded not guilty. All remain in county jail on $3-million bail each. Killgore’s husband returned from Afghanistan on emergency leave after the killing. SMH. Just disgusting. That poor woman. May she rest in peace. Source Facebook
