“106 & Park” host Rocsi stunned the crowds and cameras earlier this week when she attended the Global Grind-hosted event “A Conversation with ‘Tower Heist’ Director Brett Ratner.” Wearing a sheer, floor-length black gown, she proudly showed off her lacy undergarments – and her legs, thanks to a knee-high slit. A wide belt accentuated her tiny waist. Do you find this red-carpet appropriate? Fab Or Fug? Rocsi’s Spring Bling Bikini Rocsi Looks Glam While Partying In Cali [PHOTOS]
‘Anonymous’ actor Rhys Ifans shows off his terrifying Lizard voice in an exclusive interview with MTV News. By Josh Wigler, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Rhys Ifans Photo: MTV News For Andrew Garfield , becoming your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is as simple as slipping on some red-and-blue tights. For Rhys Ifans , the process of becoming the Lizard — the reptilian nemesis Peter Parker will face in next summer’s “The Amazing Spider-Man” — is considerably trickier. As is the case with so many superhero films these days, Ifans filmed his scenes as the Lizard while wearing a complicated motion-capture suit that will make way for the villain’s scaly visage somewhere along the post-production process. But fans won’t have to look too hard to see Ifans’ performance shine through the presumably CGI-heavy Lizard’s presence: His eyes, facial expressions and — yes — even his voice will be front and center when “Amazing Spider-Man” swings into theaters. “It’s totally my voice,” Ifans told MTV News when asked if we’d be hearing his Lizard voice when the movie arrives next year. “I’m sure the voice will be toyed with in the eventual edits, but when I was shooting the CGI moments, when I wasn’t actually human, when I was Lizard, I looked like a crash-test dummy in a green leotard thing. There were many moments when I had to speak to Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone as the Lizard.” Not content with simply telling us that we’d be hearing his Lizard voice, Ifans one-upped us with one heck of a terrifying exclusive: his first public performance of the Lizard’s voice! “Sooooo prettyyyyy,” he hissed at MTV’s Josh Horowitz, making our fearless reporter very, very uncomfortable. “Beauuuuutiful MTV … ” Perhaps not the most menacing words Ifans could have strung together, but let us assure you, witnessing the incredibly talented “Anonymous” actor’s Lizard drawl firsthand is not an experience we’ll soon forget. If his Lizard voice is even half as terrifying in the final edit of “Amazing Spider-Man” as it was in person, webheads everywhere are going to be very pleased next summer. What do you think of Ifans’ “Spider-Man” voice? Let us know in the comments! Critics are generally positive, although most point out similarities between latest entry and its predecessors. By Kevin P. Sullivan Paranormal Activity 3 Photo: Paramount This Halloween is the third in a row that the shaky-cam, faux-documentary series “Paranormal Activity” has released an entry into theaters, and critics agree that “Paranormal Activity 3” shares more than just a filming style with its predecessors. While the critical consensus is generally positive, most reviews note how similar the new “Paranormal” is to the two that came before it. This could be seen as a good or bad thing depending on how you feel about the first two films. There are new scares filling out a quiet, homespun frame, but not much else. Check out our roundup of the reviews, and be sure to read MTV News’ five reasons to check out “Paranormal Activity 3.” As a Sequel ” ‘Paranormal Activity 3’ is a prequel, revealing that the characters in ‘PA1’ and ‘PA2’ had already been through the all-night video surveillance ordeal. At least in this film they are undergoing it for the first time, which is less than can be said for us. The formula for the films involves pallid characters, perfunctory dialogue and very long waits for something to happen.” — Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times The Director ”Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost have fun with the archetypal image of a white-sheeted costume ghost, but mostly what they’re aces at is timing. They know just how to thread a handheld camera up the stairs, down a hallway, and into the scattered bric-a-brac of a middle-class children’s bedroom, settling at just the right moment upon a talking teddy bear that plays as a joke, even as a part of you momentarily thinks: Is that bear possessed?” — Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly The References ”Having been handed the entirely uninspiring challenge of fattening up the ‘Paranormal’ origin story (pop culture mythology in the making, or not), directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman (the doofuses behind the 2010 is-it-or-isn’t-it-a-sham-doc-about-an-Internet-sham, ‘Catfish’) reach into their kit bag of plot elements from, and references to, a whole bunch of older horror movies that most of their target demographic likely hasn’t seen. A bit of ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ here, ‘The Shining’ there, ‘Poltergeist’ there, not to mention some Japanese stuff, and, of course, ‘Blair Witch’ itself, particularly at the end.” — Glenn Kenny, MSN Movies The End ”As usual, the climax, in which the family makes the mistake of retreating to the sweet grandmother’s (Hallie Foote) house, replaces the air of mystery with an all too explicit explication for what’s been going on. But it does effectively fulfill its requirement of setting things up for the inevitable next installment. One doesn’t need a Ouija board to discern that it will probably arrive sometime around next Halloween.” — Frank Scheck, The Hollywood Reporter Bottom Line ”Like its predecessors, the movie is more clever than good, and if you feel as if you’re being manipulated by the filmmakers, it’s because you are. That’s the fun of these movies, something you know going in. The point is to manipulate you in the scariest way possible, and ‘Paranormal Activity 3’ does a good job of that.” — Bill Goodykoontz, Arizona Republic Check out everything we’ve got on “Paranormal Activity 3.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . Moore also tells MTV News that the teen comedy’s ongoing release delays have been ‘a tough thing.’ By Kara Warner, with reporting by Eric Ditzian Ashley Greene Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images Although it’s been awhile since we’ve had any updates about a release date for Miley Cyrus and Ashley Greene’s delayed teen comedy “LOL,” anticipation continues to build for the film, which will mark a departure for former Disney star Cyrus and Greene, who is best for her role as sweet-natured psychic Alice Cullen in the “Twilight Saga” series. But when MTV News recently caught up with Demi Moore, who plays Cyrus’ mom in the film, we got some scoop about her experience with the singer/actress, as well as some dish on what we can expect from Greene’s performance. “[Cyrus] is great, she did great,” Moore said during a promotional run for her upcoming financial thriller “Margin Call.” “I really loved the movie; I loved working with her and the director. They just put it on pause because they had another film they were focusing on. It’s a tough thing when you have a movie you’re looking forward to coming out,” she added of waiting on the film’s release date. With regard to Greene’s performance, Moore teased that moviegoers can expect to see a very different side of the “Breaking Dawn” star. “She’s saucy, she’s really saucy,” Moore said with a smile, which prompted her “Margin Call” co-star Simon Baker to chime in. “I love it when you say that,” Baker said. “Is she sassy too?” “Sassy and saucy,” Moore promised. “LOL” is based on the successful 2008 French film “Laughing Out Loud.” The American version is a coming-of-age story about a group of young people — led by Cyrus’ wild-child character Lola — trying to navigate high school peer pressure and romance in a tech-savvy era. The cast also includes Thomas Jane (“Hung”), Gina Gershon (“Rescue Me”), Jay Hernandez (“Takers”) and Austin Nichols (“One Tree Hill”). It’s good to be Chris Brown right now. Team Breezy has his back. Karrueche Tran is not pregnant. Even Rihanna says she’s a fan. And the BET Hip Hop Awards just bestowed three honors upon him. Most notably, Chris won Best Hip-Hop Video for “Look at Me Now.” Brown was on tour and not present, but Tweeted: “Thank you BET but most of all TeamBreezy!” The show, hosted by Mike Epps and MC’d by Da Brat (yep, she’s still around) opened up with a performance by T.I. (no word if the party bus took him there). Wiz Khalifa, Heavy D and Tyrese, Rick Ross and the Maybach Music Group, Big Sean and even DMX alongside Swizz Beatz hit the stage and rocked the crowd. Lupe Fiasco also took the mic and gave a political performance (big surprise) with a mysteriously masked female vocalist who turned out to be … Erykah Badu. Hungarian police swarmed warehouse to seize stash of guns being used on set. By Gil Kaufman Brad Pitt on the set of “World War Z” on August 18, 2011, in Glasgow, Scotland Photo: Jeff J Mitchell/ Getty Images Onlookers may have thought that the intense police action was part of the plot, but when Hungarian police and a SWAT team descended on the set of Brad Pitt ‘s film “World War Z” on Monday, it was not a scripted event. According to US Weekly , the SWAT team raided a Budapest warehouse where weapons were being stored for use in the epic zombie flick , with anti-terrorism officers seizing 85 guns. The firearms, which were supposed to be nonfunctional, were automatic, military-style assault rifles that were in good working order. The guns were confiscated at an airport near the film’s set, where they were being stored. “This morning a private plane brought guns wrapped in a parcel from a company to an individual [in Budapest],” said the director of Hungary’s anti-terrorism unit in a statement. “Guns like these are highly illegal to transport even if they were to [be] used as stage guns, which hopefully they weren’t.” A source told the magazine that Pitt — whose Plan B Entertainment is producing the movie set for a December 2012 release — isn’t to blame for the prop snafu. “The movie company’s employees must have made a mistake bringing the guns in without the Anti-Terrorism Unit’s permission,” said the unnamed source. The movie, which is being helmed by Oscar-nominated director Marc Forster ( “Machine Gun Preacher,” “Stranger Than Fiction”) and is based on a beloved novel by Max Brooks, stars Pitt as a United Nations employee who is traveling the world in an effort to stop a zombie plague from wiping out humanity. Forster has promised that he is taking a different approach to how the zombies move in the film from how they lurch in the book. “In Max Brook’s book they move in the George Romero [“Night of the Living Dead”] fashion. I feel like we have a little bit different approach,” he revealed. “But it doesn’t exclude that they might not eventually be fashioned [on] how George Romero’s zombies move, it’s just a little bit different approach. I think that will probably be the biggest discussions that there will be.” Check out everything we’ve got on “World War Z.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .

“I love George Clooney’s movie, The Ides of March ,” Harvey Weinstein raved recently when asked for an Academy Award prediction. “I love politics, and this movie is the best political movie — it’s gotta be right up there with the best of the best. Seriously, it is the toughest, most incisive, no-bullshit movie I’ve seen this year. And [Ryan] Gosling hits it out of the ballpark. And the entire cast is great. Clooney just nailed it. It’s an appropriate movie for these times. So Oscar prediction? That that gets nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor. And it’s not mine.” [ Vulture ]
