Get Your Life Together: Three Months After Skating On Murder Charges, Casey Anthony Is Unemployed And Back In A Courtroom

This heifer… You would think after all those months in jail and the loss of her daughter, and arguably being given a second chance at life that she shouldn’t have gotten, Casey Anthony would be doing her best to live right, right? Nope. Casey Anthony showed up to her monthly probation meeting yesterday evening and is living a typical American life: She has no money, no job, and she’s been drinking, according to the Florida Department of Corrections. As we’ve mentioned before, Anthony’s terms of probation allow her to drink alcohol, but she’s not allowed to “consume alcoholic beverages to the extent that your normal faculties are impaired.” According to the DOC, Anthony “says she did not drink to excess” and didn’t do any illegal drugs either. Although Anthony’s terms of probation stipulate that she must “work diligently at a lawful occupation,” she’s not, even though she’s been offered $500,000 to work for Larry Flynt. The DOC says she’s not attending vocational or educational classes either, so exactly WTF she’s doing is anyone’s guess. “Currently, no violations have been noted,” the DOC says. “Her probation officer continues to supervise her based on the conditions set forth by the court.” And her money problems are probably about to get worse: Casey is currently being sued by the woman who’s life has been destroyed by Casey’s lying. Disguised in sunglasses and a baseball cap, Casey Anthony was deposed Saturday for a civil lawsuit that accuses her of ruining another woman’s reputation. Attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez used videoconferencing to question Anthony, who was at an undisclosed location in Florida. John Morgan, who is representing Gonzalez, said he asked Anthony about the disappearance of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee. Anthony told detectives in 2008 that Caylee had been kidnapped by a nanny named Zenaida Gonzalez. Detectives said no such baby sitter existed. Morgan’s client, who has the same name as the fictional baby sitter, has sued Anthony, claiming her reputation was ruined. Anthony answered few questions and her attorney, Charles Greene, repeatedly invoked the Fifth Amendment, Morgan said. The Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution protects witnesses from being forced to incriminate themselves. “I think there were times where some of the questions irritated her,” Morgan said, pointing to questions about her mother and father, and her brother’s testimony. Morgan said Anthony tried to disguise herself by wearing a Philadelphia Phillies baseball cap and long, thick black hair that appeared to be from a wig. She also wore a large pair of Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses, Morgan said. He described her as “not happy to be there.” She couldn’t even make up a fake name that wasn’t going to f*** her life up? Get it together, Casey. Source 1 Source 2

Crazy Boyfriend Arrested For Murder In Missing Vegas Showgirl Case

We told you this brotha looked a bit “off” : The former boyfriend of a missing Las Vegas showgirl has been arrested for murder. The arrest of Jason “Blu” Griffith comes after much doubt had been cast on him considering the couple’s often tumultuous relationship, and nearly a month since Debbie Flores-Narvaez, 31, vanished without a trace after last being seen at Griffith’s home on Dec. 12. Flores-Narvaez’s body was recovered in downtown Los Angeles, although police are mum on where and when the discovery was made. Three days after she was allegedly at his home, Flores-Narvaez’s car was found abandoned in a Northwest Las Vegas neighborhood, its license plates removed. Griffith, 32, is being held without bail in the Clark County Detention Center, jail records show. The brunette beauty worked in several of Las Vegas’s top nightclubs after following her dream to be a trained dancer. She previously studied law and business, her family said, and she was also a cheerleading ambassador for the Washington Redskins football team. Prior to her disappearance, Flores-Narvaez sent an ominous text to her mother. “In case there is ever an emergency with me, contact Blu Griffith in Vegas,” the text sent on Dec. 1 read. “My ex-boyfriend. Not my best friend.” “It was a rocky relationship,” Celeste Narvaez-Flores told PEOPLE after her sister went missing. “A lot of ups and downs.” Last October, Griffith, also Las Vegas entertainer, was arrest for domestic violence and formally charged with coercion following a confrontation with his ex-girlfriend. A preliminary hearing is set for April on the coercion charge. Police did not immediately return calls. The attorney retained by Griffith on the coercion charge said he could not speak about the murder arrest since he has not yet been formally brought on to represent Griffith on the case. In light of the murder charge, Celeste Narvaez-Flores told PEOPLE, “I don’t want to react until I talk to the police face to face and hear what it is that they need to tell me.” SMH. R.I.P. Source

Fellow student charged with murder in the death of Pearland, Texas teenager

PEARLAND, Texas – A Pearland student is facing murder charges in the death of an 18-year-old classmate who went missing Tuesday afternoon. Police said Hermilo Vildo Moralez, 19, was identified as a person of interest in the disappearance of Josh Wilkerson Tuesday after officers noticed Moralez loitering in the area of Wilkerson’s abandoned vehicle. Wilkerson was last seen at his high school, Pearland ISD’s PACE Center, around noon on Tuesday. His parents reported him missing after finding his car abandoned at a shopping center in the 5000 block of W. Broadway. Police said they found Wilkerson’s shoes and backpack in a dumpster near his vehicle. When they initially questioned Moralez at the shopping center, investigators said he falsely identified himself and refused to give his address. According to court documents, Moralez told them he knew Wilkerson from school, and he’d seen him earlier that day. Once his true identity was discovered, Moralez was taken into custody and charged with failure to identify himself. Investigators, along with dozens of volunteers and members of Texas EquuSearch, launched a search effort for Wilkerson Tuesday afternoon. As their investigation progressed, police said Moralez agreed to cooperate with search-and-rescue activities. While walking with detectives through a field Wednesday afternoon, investigators said Moralez, who was handcuffed at the time, tried to pull a detective’s weapon from his holster. Moralez was immediately restrained and returned to the city jail. He was then charged with attempting to take a weapon from a peace officer. Wilkerson’s body was found in a field near FM 518 and FM 521 around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. According to court documents, Moralez told investigators that Wilkerson had given him a ride home from school Tuesday and made a pass at him. Moralez said he pushed Wilkerson off, and the two began to fight near the back patio of his father’s home. Moralez told police that during the fight, he grabbed a wooden rod and hit Wilkerson with it several times. He said when he got up off the ground, Wilkerson didn’t move. Investigators said Moralez then partially burned the body before dumping it in the field. When police found Wilkerson’s body, they noted that the teen’s hands and feet were bound, according to court documents. Investigators said they went back to the scene of the crime and found a large amount of blood on the patio and a bloody wooden rod in a nearby field. Moralez was charged with murder Thursday and was being held without bond. He is also awaiting trial on an unrelated harassment charge. added by: edbr

‘Disappearance Of Alice Creed’ Was ‘Demanding,’ Gemma Arterton Says

‘I didn’t know if I was going to be able to achieve the level of terror and angst,’ actress tells MTV News of brutal new film. By Eric Ditzian Gemma Arterton Photo: mtv news In 2010, we’ve seen Gemma Arterton battling gods in ancient Greece in “Clash of the Titans” and galloping on horses across the sands of time in “Prince of Persia.” But American audiences have never seen the 24-year-old British actress as we do in “The Disappearance of Alice Creed.” From her very first moment onscreen in this taut thriller of an indie flick, she’s physically and emotionally stripped bare. Arterton plays the title character, a woman from a wealthy family who’s kidnapped and held hostage in an anonymous room. She spends a great deal of the film tied to a bed, a ball gag stuffed in her mouth as she’s routinely stripped naked and forced into one humiliating act after another. Yet as the film evolves, Alice strikes a plan of her own, beginning to snatch back power from her two male captors. With secrets revealed in a piecemeal fashion, you start to realize exactly how she came to be in this utterly dysfunctional dynamic. With the movie now in theaters, Arterton sat down with MTV News to talk about the difficulties of the shoot, how filming nude scenes is no big deal and why “Alice Creed” has given her the opportunity to embrace smaller movies rather than those big-budget action flicks. MTV : On behalf of the moviegoing public, I’d like to say congratulations for delivering the most dysfunctional love triangle of the year! Gemma Arterton : It is! It is! But let’s not reveal too much. MTV : That’s all we’ll say. It is a difficult and often brutal movie from the very first scene, when you’re abducted, stripped naked and tied up. How do you get into that mind-set on set? Arterton : You just do it. We shot in sequence, which is really unusual. So from the first day, I was filming that stuff. It was the stuff, physically, that I wasn’t looking forward to, because it was really demanding, and I was exhausted at the end of it. But actually, I was more intimidated and nervous about the rest of the film, which, psychologically and emotionally, is so dramatic. I didn’t know if I was going to be able to achieve the level of terror and angst. You just go for it. When I read the script, I just loved it. I hadn’t read anything that held me like that before. All of the physical things that happen, I went, “Yeah, it’s not great to have to do those things, but it’s part of this wonderful film, and I’m not going to complain about it. I’m just going to do it.” MTV : Speaking of those difficult things, there are some brutal nude scenes. The night before, are you dreading filming that stuff, or is it just another day at the office? Arterton : Honestly, it is just another day at the office. I know it’s really hard to believe, [but] I was thinking so much about all the other stuff I had to do, all of the crying and the fear, that that was just the easy bit, in a way. I didn’t have to worry about anything. I think it’s good to treat it like that. I remember when we were on set, everyone is always so respectful and they really make a fuss out of you. I remember just trying to make everybody laugh in those scenes, because then the tension is broken and everyone can just get on with the job. A lot of a hoo-ha is made out of [nudity]. Also, I’m a really big fan of French cinema, and it’s not a big deal for French actors and French moviemakers. It’s just another part of the movie. If it’s relevant, it should be like that. MTV : Also, the ball gag you always have to wear. By the end of it, my jaw was hurting. How long did you have to suffer? Arterton : Oh, the ball gag! For the first week, I was really like the overzealous actor going, “Put it on really tight. I want to feel it, and the handcuffs and all that.” And then I started actually hurting myself, and I had these cuts at the side of my mouth and my wrists were bruised, so we worked out a way I could fake it. But it was just, take after take, just pop the ball gag in. If I was talking too much, they’d pop the ball gag back in. Actually, they used to disinfect it every day with mouthwash. So now with mouthwash, I get that kind of memory of the ball gag. MTV : “Alice Creed” is very different from what American audiences have seen from you after “Clash” and “Prince of Persia.” What is more your sweet spot? Is it the big blockbuster or the indie flicks? Arterton : This sort of movie is the type of thing I see that I will buy on DVD and will read about and be excited about. I do like blockbusters, but for me, it’s a very different style of acting. The reason I wanted to do this film is, I just wanted to do something that was focused on the story and the acting. It’s really exciting making the big movies, because it’s what you imagine, when you’re a kid, moviemaking is like. As an actor, this film is the most satisfying type of work. Since making this movie, my career has changed. It’s done me more favors than anything else I’ve done, although it’s probably been seen by less people. MTV : What are the types of roles that are coming your way? Arterton : Whereas before it was usually the girl role, it’s now movies where the girl is leading the movie. Also, more quirky indie films. Before, people make an assumption of you based on the pop side of the work you do. I’m so pleased, because now I can do both! MTV : So what’s next for you? Anything you’d like to reveal? Arterton : I’d love to tell you, because they’re so cool. But they’re not fully financed, so I don’t want to jinx it. I just can’t wait to tell everybody! Check out everything we’ve got on “The Disappearance of Alice Creed.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .
