According to Vibe: Nicki Minaj doesn’t only top charts, she kills box offices, too. YMCMB’s First Lady made her big screen debut this past weekend in the chick flick The Other Woman, which hit theaters April 25. She joined the all-star cast, composed of Leslie Mann, Kate Upton and Cameron Diaz, in knocking Captain America: The Winter Soldier from the top spot, cashing in $24.7 million, according to HuffPo. The rapper has also been prepping her forthcoming album, The Pink Print, due later this year, by going au naturel. She recently told MTV News about her new look, “It’s not a make-over, I went so far to the other side that there’s only one place to go from there. Hey guess what? This will shock them even more. The Kardashians are world-class attention-seekers, but they usually rely on tried and true methods like sex tapes and famous boyfriends to stay in the spotlight. But since everyone and their sister is getting naked on Instagram these days, Khloe Kardashian decided to get experimental by posting this photo of herself wearing a sheep costume and holding a giant handgun. Just as she’d hoped, the pic has received a lot of attention, but probably not in the way Khloe had expected. The Fort Hood shooting is still a recent and painful memory for millions of Americans and gun control remains one of the country’s most hotly debated issues, so Khloe has understandably come under fire for the ill-timed post that many see as a glorification of firearms. In all likelihood, Khloe didn’t intend to make any kind of political statement and is likely just trying to distract from rumors that she’s having a baby with French Montana . But who knows? Maybe Khloe is trying to send the message that she’s ready to defend herself in the event that the devastated Lamar Odom tries to win her back. Or maybe this is her way of showing the world what kind of mother she would: an absolutely freakin’ terrifying one. We’ll probably never know for sure why Khloe posted the world’s strangest selfie, but at least we know she’s not the black sheep of the family anymore.

When a 12-year-old girl posted racy photos of herself on Facebook, her mom was upset. So she beat her HARD and posted a video of THAT on Facebook: Mom BEATS Daughter This was not your run-of-the-mill beating, either. Helen Bartlett whipped her offspring with a strap for several minutes, causing the video to go viral and spark a heated debate over corporal punishment. Some viewers support the mom’s actions, while others are appalled, for obvious reasons – and this isn’t even the full-length video she put online. You can see the uncensored version Barlett shared – and has no regrets about. She says she is “prepared to go to jail” to set her “problem child” straight. She says she beat her daughter for posting underwear photos and sexting, and did it to keep her off the streets and stop her from getting pregnant. Noble goals, to be sure … but seriously? Perhaps most amazingly, a few days after this went up, the 12-year-old and her older sister put up their own video, in which they defended their mom. They said she was a good mother who just wanted to protect them, reassuring viewers that her mom loves her and she has no intention of killing herself. She hasn’t, however, been back to school. Since the video of the beating went viral last week, her mother says she fears being made fun of there and getting bullied … how’s that for irony? In her video, the 12-year-old said, “I am very sorry for bringing shame on you and the family. I know you love me dearly. And I love you dearly, too.” You be the judge … right or wrong?! Right! Let the talk show host carousel begin anew. Craig Ferguson announced during a taping of The Late Late Show today that he will leave the program in December. “CBS and I are not getting divorced, we are ‘ consciously uncoupling ,’” Ferguson joked. “But we will still spend holidays together and share custody of the fake horse and robot skeleton, both of whom we love very much.” David Letterman of course, announced his own retirement (effective in 2015) earlier this month, with Stephen Colbert named as his replacement . Some believe Ferguson is upset over not being considered for the 11:35 p.m. gig. “During his 10 years as host, Craig has elevated CBS to new creative and competitive heights at 12:30,” said Nina Tassler, Chairman, CBS Entertainment. “He infused the broadcast with tremendous energy, unique comedy, insightful interviews and some of the most heartfelt monologues seen on television.” Added Tassler: “Craig’s versatile talents as a writer, producer, actor and comedian speak to his great days ahead. While we’ll miss Craig and can’t thank him enough for his contributions to both the show and the Network, we respect his decision to move on, and we look forward to celebrating his final broadcasts during the next eight months.” So… here we go again: Who should replace Craig Ferguson as host of The Late Late Show?
