Back in August, The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub was granted a restraining order against her husband, Marty Caffrey. Now, Danielle has been granted a second restraining order. She says that Marty will not leave her alone, let alone grant her the divorce that they both so sorely need.. Us Weekly reports that a rep for Danielle Staub has confirmed that Marty has been issued a temporary restraining order. The order against her estranged husband, which will be good for 10 days, was for the personal safety of Danielle and her children. Danielle has two adult daughters: Christine, age 24, and Jillian, age 20. An inside source explains that a factor in this second restraining order was an allegation against Marty of emotional abuse. “She couldn’t take it anymore,” the insider shares grimly. Emotional abuse can be serious, and it sounds like that was just one of the issues that drove Danielle to this desperate measure. “She went to the police department last night to file it,” the source reveals. Based upon Us Weekly’s reporting, we take that to mean Wednesday night — January 2. “It will be good for ten days,” the insider notes. Ten days, we hope, will be enough time for Danielle to either resolve the situation or obtain another, more permanent court order. “Danielle has been trying to end the marriage,” the source explains. Danielle and Marty married in May, but split just months later. “He’s been telling people that Danielle wants to work on their marriage, but it isn’t true,” the insider reports. Chillingly, the source adds: “He wont let her go.” That is very alarming to hear. The insider reports that Danielle’s legla team has “made four settlement offers to Marty.” “He’s refused all of them,” the source states. The insider adds that Marty has also “refused mediation.” “He’s intentionally dragging this out,” the insider accuses. “He has a second home nearby,” the source notes. “But refuses to leave the house that Danielle is living in.” Marty tells Us Weekly that he hasn’t “even seen Danielle [much]” and doesn’t know “why she would need a restraining order.” “I think what’s gone on here is that the last three episodes of the Housewives …” he theorizes. “Danielle has been portrayed her as this crazy bitch to everybody, including me, my kids, and Margaret and other cast members,” Marty speculates. That’s true. Danielle lashed out on camera . It’s part of her job, basically. “She received profound backlash messages on social media that she didn’t expect,” Marty claims. “It has thrown her for a loop,” he concludes. “And she’s taken out the blame on me.” Just weeks ago, Danielle herself opened up to Us Weekly about Marty’s behavior. “The fact that anyone would use your partner’s past,” she began. “As a way to abuse them.” Danielle continued: “and then verbally abuse and emotionally abuse my daughter or my children or my friends that are around me.” “There isn’t one woman that he’s had a conversation with that could say that he’s not an abusive man,” Danielle emphasized. ”It’s erratic behavior and it’s constant. According to TMZ , Forest Whitaker filed divorce documents to split from his wife Keisha Nash Whitaker on Thursday — just two days after Christmas. Keisha and Forest wed in 1996 and share three adult daughters together. There is no custody or child support dispute to be had, and Forest has already requested that the court terminate any spousal support. The actual cause of their split remains unknown, though the actor cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason in his paperwork. SMH! In October of this year, Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett finally divorced . It’s really, truly over. Now, some of the realities of that are just sinking in — as Kendra experienced her first Christmas as a divorced mother. In a heartfelt message to fans, she reveals the real emotional pitfalls of sharing your kids on a major holiday. “This early morning we woke up, opened up presents, and rode around on our new bikes for an hour,” Kendra’s Instagram post begins. “I never thought I’d ever hear the words “this is more fun than Fortnite” but I did,” she writes, adding: “LOL.” Fortnite is a battle royale style game, made by Epic Games, that is extremely popular with younger kids. Though it’s great to see children enjoying themselves and engaging with peers, Kendra probably appreciated hearing the white lie that bike-riding is more fun. “I gotta be real though…” Kendra says. “After this bike ride,” she reveals. “I had to give my babies up.” Kendra refers to sending her kids to their dad’s house now that she and Hank are divorced. “This is the first year I’m literally alone..” Kendra laments. At least, she reveals, she was alone “’til @iamjessicahall just invited me over.” “I just want to say how beautiful your pictures are with your families on Christmas,” Kendra writes on Instagram. Kendra is known for a lot of social media engagement with her fans. Kendra affirms: “I feel warm and happy for all of you who are lucky to have what you do.” “My day is going in waves,” Kendra explains. “Being my first year separated.” Of course! “I have music/movies on, enjoying myself and then [it] hits me,” she reveals. That is very normal for anyone grappling with a new reality. But Kendra says that she is “doing a lot better than I predicted.” Having sudden moments of sadness is a lot better than being a weepy mess like you’re on a commercial for a mood stabilizer. “And,” Kendra says. “Friends reaching out makes me smile.” Sometimes, you want to be alone to process your emotions and to just experience your life. Other times, you welcome a distraction and emotional support from loved ones. Kendra needs that right now. “But,” she admits, it is “hard adjusting to new after years of what I believed was perfection.” Absolutely. From death to divorce, the first “different” holiday can really drive home how much your life has been transformed. “Definitely not looking for sympathy,” Kendra clarifies. “Just telling my story.” Just because other people have it worse doesn’t mean that Kendra doesn’t deserve sympathy, folks. “Sure divorced peeps can relate lol,” she suggests. She is totally right. “Anyways,” Kendra concludes. “Off to @iamjessicahall house.” Good for her for doing her best to enjoy the holiday. Some divorced parents are, quite frankly, not as lucky as Kendra. Sometimes a mom who has primary custody doesn’t see her children for weeks around Christmas or other key holidays. This of course leaves one parent as the parent who reminds children to do their homework, while another is the “fun” parent they see on holidays. It’s great to see that she and Hank were able to work it out so that they could both see their kids, even on big days like Christmas. Dividing time may not be fun, but it certainly beats the alternative. We imagine that little Hank and Alijah didn’t mind it. Though it’s not always true when there’s a divorce, some kids really do get twice the presents — or close enough — when their parents split. it’s always good to look for a silver lining. The Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador continues feuding with fellow Housewives , but she’s also caught up in another fight. Her ex-husband, David, is accusing her of being an alcoholic. He has filed papers with the court to prevent her from drinking — at all — when she’s spending time with their teen daughters. Us Weekly confirms that David Beador filed papers with the court, hoping to forbid Shannon from drinking around their teenage daughters. “The mother has publicly stated on television within the last month, she ‘self-medicates’ with alcohol,” the documents accuse. Discussing your personal life is part of being a reality star, but your words can be thrown back in your face in court if you’re not careful. “That behavior is detrimental to the children,” David’s attorney claims. Their children are Sophie, who is 16, and twins Stella and Adeline, who are each 14. According to David’s team’s request, Shannon would be under very strict rules that go beyond avoiding having wine with dinner. The proposed court order would prevent Shannon from drinking at all while the girls are with her. That would include a ban on drinking eight hours before the girls come to stay with her. An order like this is usually made when someone has demonstrated that they have a drinking problem. That said, for those without a drinking problem, it’s usually easy enough — if socially inconvenient — to follow. Does Shannon have a drinking problem and, if so, is it actually negatively impactful to her girls in any way? Honestly, we don’t know. Either way, this sounds like a clear effort to use Shannon’s status as a reality star against her. Things had been going a little better with Shannon and David’s divorce, right up until the reunion special aired. Is this David’s attempt to exact revenge upon Shannon for disparaging him and his girlfriend on international television? Or was this born of genuine concern? This news comes on the heels of Shannon facing a real medical crisis. On Monday, December 17, Shannon revealed that she had gone to the emergency room. “At ER with horrible pain in my ribs,” Shannon shared with her fans and followers. “Getting tests.” “Everyone so nice but not a hospital fan…” she admitted. Mystery pains are never good, but when they’re in or around your chest, they can be downright scary. Fortunately, Shannon had more to tell her followers. “No blood clot,” she announced. “And all is good.” The human body is kind of a mess, so sometimes phantom pains defy explanation. In this case, if Shannon received a specific diagnosis, she did not see fit to share it with fans. “Heading home with an antibiotic,” Shannon revealed. “Thank you to so many of you for the well wishes.” Shannon told her fans: “It’s overwhelming and kind.” Maybe David has real concerns about Shannon’s drinking, or maybe this is just a game that he’s playing with their divorce. Maybe both. Some fans cannot help but be reminded of one of the elements in the dissolution of their marriage. David, as you may recall, did not respond well when Shannon’s stress eating caused her to gain weight. It reached a point where Shannon said David stopped loving her because she was fat . Does David, even now that he’s moved on with a younger lady love, feel a need to control what Shannon puts in her body? Or is this just fatherly concern for his teenage daughters, who may soon be exposed to alcohol at parties if they are not already? His motives remain shrouded. We’ll see what the court decides. Just weeks after ending her engagement to Pete Davidson, Ariana Grande dropped a new single , “Thank U, Next.” The powerful anthem, a tribute to her exes, is smashing music records. Its lyrics have also inspired November’s hottest meme. Billboard Woman of the Year Ariana Grande keeps setting new records only to surpass them. In recent days, she’s been doing it with the same song, as she shared on Instagram. “Thank u, next has surpassed 100 MILLION streams on spotify in only 11 days,” reads a graphic shared on social media. The graphic puts that in perspective: “it is the fastest song in HISTORY to reach this milestone.” Ariana shared the image with a very grateful black heart emoji in the captions. Keep in mind that that’s only her Spotify success. It doesn’t include people listening on YouTube — or pirating it. Her record-smashing feat doesn’t include people using other streaming services. It also doesn’t include those of us who eschew streaming music and instead immediately purchased it from iTunes or Amazon. Part of the appeal is that it’s a beautiful song. The song’s real meaning also contributed to its success. “Thank U, Next” is an anthem to Ariana’s exes — to three, in particular. Ariana had an 8-month relationship with Big Sean from 2014 to 2015. “Thought I’d end up with Sean / But he wasn’t a match,” Ariana sings. Starting in the summer of 2015, Ariana dated backup dancer Ricky Alvarez for about a year. “Wrote some songs about Ricky / Now I listen and laugh,” Ariana sings. Famously, Ariana got engaged to Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson, and broke things off in October. “Even almost got married / And for Pete, I’m so thankful,” Ariana’s lyrics affirm. On a sadder note, she dated Mac Miller for two years starting in 2016. He died just a few months ago. “Wish I could say, ‘Thank you’ to Malcolm / ‘Cause he was an angel,” Ariana sings bittersweetly. “Thank U, Next” appeals to people as a song and as an athem. Some can relate in their own lives — they really appreciate their past loves and past relationships. Others are just Ariana Grande fans and love to hear how at peace she is with her romantic past. But it’s more than just a song, folks. It’s a meme. For ages now, social media has been filled with “one taught me love, one taught me patience, one taught me pain” posts. These posts, quoting lyrics from Ariana’s song, can do everything from critique three films or three characters or three condiments. Of course, Ariana’s release of this song such a short time after ending her relationship with Pete Davidson has fueled conspiracy theorists. There are people in the world who believes that all celebrity activities, from relationships to their art to overdoses and deaths, are a scripted facade. These are the same people who use words like “illuminati” and “Deep State” with total sincerity. So they think that for some unknowable reason, Ariana and Pete were “ordered” by, like, Beyonce or George Soros to get engaged, then split. According to this admittedly hilarious theory, Ariana had this song prepared and mixed for whenever they were ordered to break up. Why? Maybe, like, mind-control embedded in the song. It did release right before election day! Ariana being a talented and passionate musician with the resources to pull together a song quickly is apparently too simple of an explanation. There is a glaring omission from Ariana’s song — her ex Graham Phillips. They performed together on Broadway along with current Dynasty star Elizabeth Gillies. You might know Graham from The Good Wife or from his more recent appearance on Riverdale as a seriously awful dude. Our guess is that the fact that they dated in 2011, when Ariana was mostly just known as a Nickelodeon star, is a factor. Also, she probably just views Graham as a friend whom she once dated. There’s a difference between that and an “ex.” In case you were wondering if there was bad blood, we looked into it and found no evidence of hard feelings. In fact, they staged a mini-reunion this past summer with another former castmate. Ariana was probably right to narrow her scope of exes to a handful.
