Man Kills Wife Then Tricks Her Family Into Believing She’s Alive For Over A Year; Eventually Murders Them & The Family Pets

Source: Mihajlo Maricic / EyeEm / Getty   Florida Man Murders Wife, Makes Family Believe She’s Alive For Over A Year According to the Tampa Bay Times , Shelby Svenson, 25, admitted to killing his wife Jamie Ivancic — but only after he had already been arrested for also killing three of her family members. Ivancic reportedly had told family members about a year ago that she was planning to leave Svenson, and take the children with her. Both Ivancic and Svenson were previously arrested on domestic violence charges, accused of assaulting each other. The last time anyone actually spoke directly with Ivancic was about a year ago, on January 25th, 2018, when she had a FaceTime call with her sister Karma Stewart. Police believe Ivancic may have been dead for over a year, but Svensen convinced her friends & family that she was still alive by reportedly texting and sending photos of the couple’s two children from her phone, and telling them that she was unavailable to talk when they called to speak with her. During an interrogation regarding the triple murder, Svenson also admitted to killing his wife by way of “violent blunt-force trauma” and burying her body in the backyard of their previous residence in Port Richey, Florida. Ivancic’s parents and brother were found dead in their home on New Years’ Day and Svenson was arrested in Ohio two days later, driving his murdered mother-in-law’s stolen SUV. When police arrived, they found Richard, Laura and Nicholas dead as well as the family’s three dogs. No official statement has been made yet as to the motive for those murders, either. The Tarpon Springs Police Department was not immediately available for comment. Continue reading

Dog Lives Matter: Cop Canned After Being Caught On Camera Shooting Pooch [VIDEO]

A @CountyFaulkner sheriff’s deputy shot a dog in the face for fun. The sheriff’s office responded by saying the dog—a chihuahua—was “aggressive” and that the incident is being reviewed. https://t.co/VseXp0roMq — Natasha Bertrand (@NatashaBertrand) January 6, 2019 Cop Fired By Arkansas Police Department For Shooting Dog In The Face So it turns out that there are consequences for cops shooting innocents after all… An Arkansas police officer named Keenan Wallace has been fired after he was captured on video shooting a small dog named Reeses in the face. To make matters worse, Wallace was a K-9 handler! You’d think he would be more compassionate to animals right? According to NY Post reports: The footage was captured when Wallace responded to a call about an aggressive dog at an apartment complex in Conway, AR, Fox 16 reported. It shows the deputy speaking with a homeowner while two small dogs run around the yard, but when Reeses starts barking, Wallace shoots the dog. The yelping from the animal is really heart-wrenching. This is Reese’s the Poor dog that was shot. pic.twitter.com/YpRg0HJt2c — Catie (@catiejwoodson) January 5, 2019 Reeses survived the shooting but suffered a shattered jaw and requires surgery and ongoing medical treatment. A GoFundMe page was created to help cover her medical costs which give a more detailed description of the events leading to her injury. The page had raised 14,698 of a $15,500 goal as of our reporting. Wallace has been terminated from his position according to a post on the department’s Facebook page: “I was notified Friday of an incident involving Deputy Keenan Wallace. Deputy Wallace fired his service weapon that injured an animal while in close proximity to a citizen. I believe there were numerous opportunities to de-escalate the incident, “ reads a statement from Tim Ryals on the County Sheriff’s Facebook page announcing Wallace’s termination. “Our Department is saddened about this incident and apologizes for any distress and disappointment this incident has caused anyone who was affected by this disheartening event. We will keep Reeses in our thoughts through the recovery process,” continues the post. Prosecutors are reviewing the incident to determine whether criminal charges will be filed or not, Ryals said. Reese's, the dog, shot by Faulkner County K9 handler prepares for surgery. #arnews https://t.co/kmWjpLS3z2 pic.twitter.com/2KdBFCNyqE — KATV News (@KATVNews) January 6, 2019 Welp… We figured out how to get cops to stop shooting black people. We all gotta start walking around with dogs — because if dogs get shot, cops get fired. Crazy right?

Not Today, Satan! Rural Alabama Police Blame The Devil For Spike In Homicides

Source: MICHAL CIZEK / Getty Alabama Cops Blame Devil On Rising Homicides Sigh. A police department in rural Alabama is under fire for a Facebook post that intertwines religion and government says an opposition group. According to AL , the Freedom From Religion Foundation charges that the Opp Police Department (what a PERFECT name for a group of cops, the opps) is violating the law by using their platform to endorse a religious belief. Two firearm-related murders in two days prompted the department to take their frustration to Facebook: THIS PAST SUNDAY, A YOUNG MAN WAS SHOT AND KILLED IN KINSTON. MONDAY NIGHT, A MOTHER WAS SHOT AND KILLED IN NORTHERN COVINGTON COUNTY. THERE HAVE BEEN FIVE MURDERS IN COVINGTON COUNTY IN 2018. THESE MURDERS HAVE BEEN DONE BY OUR YOUNG PEOPLE. THIS IS HAPPENING BECAUSE WE HAVE TURNED AWAY FROM GOD AND EMBRACED SATAN. WE MAY HAVE NOT MEANT TO DO SO BUT, WE HAVE. IT IS TIME TO ASK FOR GOD’S HELP TO STOP THIS. IT IS TIME TO BE PARENTS AND RAISE OUR CHILDREN, NOT HAVE THEM RAISE US. IT IS TIME TO FULLY SUPPORT LAW ENFORCEMENT AND STAND BY THE OFFICERS AND DEPUTIES THAT ARE FAR TOO OFTEN HAVING TO WALK INTO THESE DANGEROUS SITUATIONS AND CLEAN UP THE MESS. FRIENDS, IT IS TIME TO STAND UP AND BE RESPONSIBLE, GROWN UP LEADERS IN OUR COMMUNITY. BOTTOM LINE, THERE ARE SHEEP; THERE ARE WOLVES AND THERE ARE SHEEP DOGS. WHICH GROUP DO YOU BELONG TO ? Maybe they figured that since they were in the Bible belt that the community of 6,500 would be amenable to such a characterization. But maybe, just maybe, if the Opp cops were better at their job then the murders wouldn’t have happened in the first place, or maybe the Opp cops ARE the devil. *shrug*

That’s Your Dog, Huh? Here’s Why Twitter Reactions To Cop K-9 Ringo Are Infuriating To Black Folks

When Ringo, a yellow Lab, was retired after working for a Mississippi police department for 9 years, his handler took him to a shelter instead of keeping him. Now the officer has been demoted. https://t.co/Ofv9JUzA7W — The New York Times (@nytimes) December 18, 2018 Black Folks Aren’t Feeling The Reactions To Story About Cop K-9 Ringo Twitter users of color are currently repulsed by the New York Times story seen above. Mississippi police officer Carl Ellis in was charged with taking care of his narcotic-sniffing K-9 partner, Ringo, upon the dog’s retirement from the Jackson Police Department. Instead, he dropped the dog at a local shelter and was caught when Ringo’s former trainer Randy Hare was contacted about adoption. As a result of this shabby behavior of a former police officer, Ellis was “demoted”. But this story isn’t about Ringo or the shady officer who dumped his bestest boy at the shelter, this is about people’s reactions to this story in contrast to how they react when police kill unarmed Black people. How could you treat your partner that way after 9 years?! Ringo is better off with someone else. What is wrong with people? — BCB (@BCFB828) December 18, 2018 We don’t typically see this kind of passionate decry of police conduct from WASPy folks when they decide to empty a clip on kid in a hoodie. …officers literally kill people and I don’t see this much backlash outside of the marginalized communities it happens to. I love dogs and want them to be cared for but I’m astounded by these responses in comparison to when officers literally kill unarmed people — eMo Bamba (@marciMcFly) December 18, 2018 We just tired. That’s all. So this is what it takes to have an officer demoted? Not wanting to take care of a dog, not planting weed in a kids car or KILLING PEOPLE — Hellraiser III: Imani on Earth (@ImaniChanel) December 18, 2018 Flip the page to see some of the cringe-y and animal-loving outrage from whites and the righteously indignant responses from people of color. PETA Pleads for End to “Anti-Animal" Rhetoric, Is the Butt of Every Joke

DISCLAIMER: We love animals at The Hollywood Gossip. We have an entire section of our website dedicated to dog photos and we look at it any time we feel sad. That said, we do not love the way PETA approaches its mission of trying to protect the rights of animals; not when most of its ads and statements seem more focused on garnering attention than actually protecting said animals. Case in point: accusing Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra of horse abuse at their wedding. Another case in point: equating anti-animal language with racism and homophobia. Yes, PETA has actually done this with a Tweet and a chart that is thankfully so ridiculous that Twitter has gone straight from outrage to mockey. See what we mean below… 1. Words Matter What? Huh? What phrases is PETA even talking about here?!? 2. So Glad You Asked! This is a real chart. These are examples of “anti-animal language” PETA would like us to stop using, replacing the phrases with the suggestions to the right. 3. Take It Away, Twitter! Internet users had many responses to this chart, starting with a few serious ones such as the one above. 4. This Should Be Our Concern? REALLY?!? 5. Did This Just Happen? 6. FIXED! The responses then started getting more humorous… and awesome. View Slideshow

HBCU Football Recap: North Carolina A&T State Reigns Over The MEAC Again

Read this article:

North Carolina A&T State clinched its second consecutive MEAC championship and trip to the Celebration bowl with a dominating performance in a 45-0 road victory against arch-rival North Carolina Central in the Aggie-Eagle Classic. It was the most lopsided victory for either team in the rivalry since North Carolina Central returned to the conference in 2011. The Aggies (9-2, 5-1 MEAC) overwhelmed North Carolina Central on both sides of the ball. They gained 539 yards total offense with a three-pronged attack with quarterback Lamar Reynard, receiver Elijah Bell and running back Marquell Cartwright, doing most of the damage. Raynard, who sat out the Aggies’ victory against Savannah State a week ago due to a concussion, returned and completed 16 of 23 passes for 257 yards and two touchdowns; Bell, who has been dogged by injuries all season, appeared to be completely healthy as he caught 10 passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns and is two catches shy of breaking the school record for touchdown receptions; Cartwright, the leading rusher in the MEAC, ran for 110 yards on 20 carries to top the 1,000-yard mark for the second consecutive season. The Aggies have had a 1,000-yard runner in eight of the last nine seasons. Cartwright also scored a pair of touchdowns. North Carolina A&T’s defense was nothing short of suffocating. The Aggies held the Eagles to a miniscule 41 yards total offense, including minus-21 rushing – the lowest number in the 90-year history of the rivalry. “That’s what we do. That’s what we’re about. Stop the run,” said first-year North Carolina A&T coach Sam Washington, who was the Aggies’ defensive coordinator for seven seasons under Coach Rod Broadway before being elevated to the top spot when Broadway retired. “They play into what we do, so we knew we could give them a considerable amount of problems. The thing you worry about is are the kids going to deviate from what we do because their eyes start to deceive them. But they didn’t. They did a good job of executing the game plan.” KEY RESULTS Bowie State 41, West Alabama 35 – The Bulldogs advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division II playoffs with a home victory. It was the first playoff victory in school history for Bowie State (10-2). The Bulldogs will travel to Georgia to face Valdosta State in the second round Saturday. Quarterback Amir Hall threw completed 31 of 48 attempts for 376 yards and a touchdown to lead the Bulldogs past West Alabama (8-4). The Bulldogs fell behind in the early going when Martin Tyriq caught a seven-yard touchdown from Harry Satterwhite at the 10:36 mark in the first quarter. The Bulldogs answered with a nine-yard touchdown pass from Hall to Jordan Crockett, who caught seven passes for 131 yards and a touchdown, and a three-yard touchdown run by Hall for a 14-7 lead. Satterwhite tied the score with a 38-yard touchdown pass to Jonnas Spivey before Gene Carson booted an18-yard field goal to give the Bulldogs a 17-14 halftime lead. West Alabama went ahead 28-27 in the opening minute of the fourth quarter, but Hall scored on a five-yard touchdown run and Roger Richardson returned an interception 36 yards for a touchdown to give the Bulldogs an insurmountable lead. Tyler Bush’s five-yard touchdown run with 5:09 remaining in the game cut Bowie State’s lead to the final margin, 41-35. West Alabama got the ball at Bowie State’s 46 with 3:16 left on the clock for its last possession. The drive ended at the Bulldogs’ 23 when Satterwhite’s pass on fourth-and-six to Qua Boyd was incomplete. Alcorn State 24, Jackson State 3 – The Braves ran off 21 unanswered points in the second half to capture their fifth consecutive SWAC East Division championship with a home win against the arch-rival Tigers. Alcorn (8-3, 6-1 SWAC) will host the winner of Southern-Grambling State matchup in the Bayou Classic in the SWAC Championship Game on Dec. 1. Jackson State (5-5, 4-3 SWAC), a decided underdog entering the game, played a spirited first half and the score was tied 3-all entering the third quarter. Alcorn came out of the locker room and overpowered the Tigers with their running game, which generated 217 yards. The Braves had 394 total yards to 195 for Jackson State. Running back De’Shawn Waller led Alcorn’s ground attack with 124 yards. P.J. Simmons, who ran for 67 yards, scored the Braves’ first touchdown on an eight-yard scamper on Alcorn’s first possession of the second half. Quarterback Noah Johnson connected with freshman Juan Anthony on a 47-yard touchdown pass, and Taurence Wilson ended the scoring with a 31-yard interception return for a touchdown. Bethune-Cookman 33, Florida A&M 19 – The Wildcats scored the game’s final 16 points to defeat the Rattlers for the eighth straight time in the Florida Classic in Orlando and deny their arch-rivals the MEAC title and berth in the Celebration Bowl. Florida A&M (6-5, 5-2 MEAC) ended the season with a three-game losing streak. The Rattlers went ahead 19-17 on Ryan Stanley’s nine-yard touchdown pass to George Webb with 37 second remaining in the third quarter, but Bethune-Cookman (7-5, 5-2 MEAC) tied the score when Vernon Walker returned the blocked point after touchdown kick for a two-point score. The Wildcats took the lead on Jabari Dunham’s five-yard touchdown run at 13:53 of the fourth quarter, and they sealed the victory with Tydarius Peters’ 90-yard interception return for a touchdown with 17 seconds to play. Both teams had highly productive offensive performances. Florida A&M amassed 465 total yards with Stanley throwing for 305 and a pair of touchdowns. However, he also threw a pair of interceptions.  Bethune-Cookman racked up 417 yards, 201 rushing and 216 passing. Tupac Isme burned the Rattlers for 208 yards on just five carries. Lisa Vanderpump: Leaving The Real Housewives For Good?!

Will she stay or will she go? That is the question that has been following around Lisa Vanderpump for weeks. There was talk in late September that Vanderpump is no longer having fun as a cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills… … and Lisa Rinna told Us Weekly that the veteran Bravo star simply vanished for long periods of time during filming of the latest season. This has all led to speculation about Vanderpump’s future on the series, especially in the wake of her brother’s tragic passing. (As previously detailed, Mark Vanderpump died of a suspected drug overdose in May. He was 59 years old.) Might she actually leave the franchise? Despite all the money it has made for her and all the name recognition it has helped her achieve? We now have an answer — and that answer is yes . According to a network insider, per Radar Online, the drama between Lisa and the other ladies , specifically former best friends Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley, have become “too much” for Vanderpump to deal with. This may not have been the case in the past. But combine Mark’s passing with the many other projects that consume her time and Vanderpump is ready to leave the Housewives behind. “She was dealing with grief, filming Vanderpump Rules, opening [new restaurant] TomTom and running the Vanderpump Dog Foundation,” explains this Radar inside, adding: “She was not equipped to handle Housewives, even before the drama happened.” For those unfamiliar with the drama being referenced above: A source has said that Vanderpump got into a major argument with Kemsley after the latter adopted a puppy from Vanderpump Dogs — only to then drop it off at a shelter after the canine “nipped” at her young kids. Lisa stopped filming episodes of The Real Housewives soon after this went down, although Tom Schwartz told Us Weekly that his friend just needed a “mini sabbatical” after the death of her brother. Vanderpump has mostly mourned this loss in private, although she did issue a simple statement on Instagram shortly after Mark died. It read: “It’s been a devastating couple of weeks… one day at a time… I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all your love and support. Love Lisa xo.” Radar, however, writes that Vanderpump’s absence from shooting isn’t just some little break. It’s a full-fledged break- up . “She has no plans to return to the show,” the insider tells this website. “But who knows what the future holds.” Lisa, though, WILL return to Vanderpump Rules in the future and she also just announced a partnership with Caesars Palace to open Vanderpump Cocktail Garden in Las Vegas next year. She’s doing pretty darn well for herself. View Slideshow: The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Cast: Already Plotting to TAKE DOWN Denise Richards!
