Not cool, bro Paul George Under Fire For Domestic Violence Tweets About Ray Rice Early this morning Indiana Pacers forward Paul George decided toss two rusty pennies into the Ray Rice discussion bucket. Unfortunately for him, he was probably better served keeping his day-late-and-dollar-short mouth closed. Here was his first off-base offering: Shut up, stupid. SHUT UP, STUPID! Bruh…smh Paul’s overseer, NBA legend and Pacers’ President, Larry Bird, immediately released a statement chastising Paul’s tweets and distancing himself and Pacers from his ignorance. “Paul George’s tweets from earlier were thoughtless and without regard to the subject of domestic violence and its seriousness in society. We have talked to Paul to strongly express our displeasure and made it clear that the NBA and the Pacers’ organization will not condone or tolerate remarks of this nature. Paul understands that he was wrong and why his tweets were so inappropriate and is very apologetic.” Flip the page to see the carnage that is Paul George’s Twitter mentions. Image via AP

She’s Going IN!!! Miss Jackson Enlists Gloria Allred To Announce She’s Suing Floyd Mayweather [Video]

This is one fight that we don’t see Floyd coming back undefeated from Floyd Mayweather’s Ex Shantel Jackson Files Lawsuit Accusing Him Of Abuse And Invasion Of Privacy According to TMZ reports: Floyd Mayweather’s ex-fiancee Shantel Jackson is suing the boxer — claiming he attacked her on multiple occasions and once PULLED A GUN ON HER and threatened to shoot. According to the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ Sports, Jackson claims Floyd first got violent with her back in 2012 … right after he was released from the slammer in a domestic violence case involving another woman. Jackson claims the two were arguing when “He twisted [her] arm, choked her and forcibly took her phone away from her to look through it.” Jackson claims Mayweather got violent again in April 2013 … when during another argument, he “bent her arm, restrained her, and pointed a gun at her foot, asking ‘Which toe do you want me to shoot?’” In her suit, Jackson claims he then demanded her to remove her 17 carat diamond engagement ring at gunpoint. Jackson also claims Mayweather invaded her privacy when he posted photos of her sonogram on social media — and claimed the “real” reason they broke up is because she “killed our twin babies.” There’s more … Jackson claims Mayweather struck again in Feb. 2014 at his condo at the Ritz in L.A. Shantel claims she was trying to leave following yet another argument — when Floyd grabbed her by the arm and dragged her back inside. She claims Floyd blocked her from leaving for more than an hour. She’s suing for assault, battery, defamation, invasion of privacy, intentional infliction of emotional distress, harassment and more. Is it bad that we’re eagerly awaiting 50 Cent’s take on this recent turn of events? SplashNews

NFL Enforces Tougher Domestic Violence Policy – Two Incidents Equals Lifetime Ban

Everybody gets one… NFL Enacts Stricter Policy On Domestic Abuse The NFL has come under fire for its lenient punishment of domestic abusers . Now, the Commissioner is looking to change things. Via DailyMail : The National Football League has enacted stiffer punishments for any personnel who commit domestic violence. In a letter to team owners, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said players, coaches and owners now face a six-game suspension for a first offense and a lifetime ban for a second. Goodell said second-time offenders may petition for reinstatement after a year, but with no guarantees. Harsher penalties could also be levied for offenders with incidents before joining the NFL or ‘violence involving a weapon, choking, repeated striking, or when the act is committed against a pregnant woman or in the presence of a child,’ the letter states. The NFL has been criticized for its inconsistent and often lax penalties for off-field offenses. Ravens running back Ray Rice, for example, had to sit out just two games for hitting his now-wife Janay in an Atlantic City casino. In contrast, Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon had to stay out of the 2014 season and was banned for a full year for testing positive for marijuana. In his letter, the commissioner admitted that he ‘didn’t get it right.’ ‘We allowed our standards to fall below where they should be and lost an important opportunity to emphasize our strong stance on a critical issue and the effective programs we have in place,’ Goodell wrote. ‘My disciplinary decision led the public to question our sincerity, our commitment, and whether we understood the toll that domestic violence inflicts on so many families. I take responsibility both for the decision and for ensuring that our actions in the future properly reflect our values.’ The NFL Players Association said the union was informed of the new policies but didn’t have to approve it, as it’s a change in personal conduct policy, a source told USA Today Sports. Hopefully this will make players think twice about their actions . Do you think the new punishment system is fair or overkill?
