Reese Witherspoon acted like anything but America’s Sweetheart to police in Atlanta early Friday, as both the actress and husband Jim Toth were arrested during a traffic stop. Sources tell TMZ officers pulled over the couple’s Ford Fusion because it was weaving in and out of lanes. As the cops spoke to Toth, Witherspoon reportedly pulled out her fame card, telling them: “You’re about to find out who I am … You are going to be on national news.” While Toth was booked for drunk driving – allegedly blowing a .139 on a Breathalyzer – the Oscar winner grew visibly frustrated with the ordeal. She reportedly got out her car on multiple occasions and was eventually arrested for disorderly conduct as a result. Jim and Reese were both taken into custody and released a short while later. The police report describes Jim’s eye lids as “droopy” and his eyes as “blood shot and watery.” The officer on the scene also detected a “strong odor” of alcohol emanating from Toth.

This week on Celebrity Apprentice, the teams were tasked with creating an interactive experience that perfectly captured the atmosphere of South Africa. Can you ever see these people tasked with that in real life? In any case, Plan B (Penn, Lisa, and Gary) handled the “Romance” angle, while Team Power had an “Adventure” of their own … and Brande Roderick got the chop. Donald Trump felt that Lil Jon should have been taken to task for setting team team on a creative path that proved their downfall, but it was not the case. Brande ended up rescuing poor Lil Jon – YEAH! – despite his third-grade style art project and basically put herself in the crosshairs instead. Oh well. What do you think? Did she deserve to get fired?

New information is starting to trickle in regarding the death of Shain Gandee . Found today inside a truck near Sissonville, West Virginia, authorities now confirm Shain was alongside his uncle and an unidentified female passenger. Sissonville Because the 1984 Bronco is buried in a mud, law enforcement officials are still working on removing the bodies – but they confirm that Gandee may have passed away from carbon monoxide poisoning . The corpses were discovered by a passing ATV occupant, while the location of the truck is so remote that cell phone reception is blocked all around it. Hence why no one in the party could be reached in the hours leading up to their passing. If the exhaust pipe was covered in mud while the vehicle was running, sources close to the investigation say accidental carbon monoxide poisoning likely played a role in this tragedy. But no official word yet from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.

Donald Trump has dropped his lawsuit against Bill Maher. At least for now. The blowhard has withdrawn the $5 million lawsuit he filed against the comedian who dared him to prove he wasn’t the spawn of an orangutan last year. Trump sued Maher in February, claiming Maher flaked out on a “promise” to donate $5 million to charity if the Donald could prove he wasn’t part ape. Maher made the “offer” on The Tonight Show after Trump made his $5 million challenge to President Obama regarding the POTUS’ college transcripts. Trump said he formally responded to Maher’s challenge with a copy of his birth certificate, proving he’s the “son of Fred Trump” and not a monkey. Maher scoffed, calling the whole situation a joke, which it clearly was. For whatever reason, Trump has now filed documents to dismiss the case, who a rep for the Celebrity Apprentice star says the door could be reopened. “The lawsuit was temporarily withdrawn to be amended and re-filed at a later date,” says Michael Cohen, Trump’s Executive V.P. and Special Counsel. Thank goodness. We’d hate to see a frivolous lawsuit go to waste. Also of note, the billionaire mogul is feuding with Mark Cuban and Macy’s, so he’s got his hands in a lot of ridiculous pots at the moment. So to speak. Maybe there’s only so much nonsense even he can keep track of?
