George Lopez has officially been charged with battery after getting into a fight with an alleged Trump supporter at a New Mexico Hooters last month. Las Cruces Sun New s reports: Lopez will be receiving a criminal summons to Las Cruces Municipal Court for the misdemeanor count. He’ll either have to appear in person or hire an attorney to appear for him for his court hearing. You may recall that back in October, cell phone footage surfaced of the comedian trying to snatch the phone and grab the back of the man’s neck after he put his arms on Lopez’s shoulder and said, “MAGA,” referring to Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan that has clearly targeted Mexican-Americans. Lopez hasn’t responded to the charges.

It was depleted, and I had to fix it,” Trump said. “What he did to our military made this country very unsafe for you and you and you.” It sounds like Donnie didn’t want any smoke with the former first lady, so he lashed out at Barack.

In an upcoming interview with ABC’s Good Morning Robin Roberts , she opens about her past fertility issues and a devastating miscarriage she experienced 20 years ago. “I felt lost and alone and I felt like I failed, because I didn’t know how common miscarriages were because we don’t talk about them,” Obama, 54, said. “We sit in our own pain, thinking that somehow we’re broken,” adding, “So, that’s one of the reasons why I think it’s important to talk to young mothers about the fact that miscarriages happen, and the biological clock is real.” Adding, “I think it’s the worst thing that we do to each other as women, not share the truth about our bodies and how they work, and how they don’t work.” This is the first time Mrs. Obama has publicly spoken about her fertility issues. . @MichelleObama opens up to @RobinRoberts in revealing new interview; says she felt “lost and alone” after suffering miscarriage 20 years ago. When asked why she shared that part of her life with the public, Obama stressed that she wanted for people to understand the work that couples need to do in order to stay together. “For those young people out there who think that marriage is supposed to be easy. And marriage counseling for us was one of those ways that we learned to talk out our differences,” she said. “I want them to know that Michelle and Barack Obama who have a phenomenal marriage and who love each other, we work on our marriage, and we get help with our marriage when we need it.” In addition, she described falling in love with Mr Obama one summer night in Chicago. “As soon as I allowed myself to feel anything for Barack,” she writes, “the feelings came rushing – a toppling blast of lust, gratitude, fulfillment, wonder.” Swoon. Source: Mark Wilson / Getty Mrs. Obama also had some choice words about President Trump in her book, stressing that she will never forgive him for starting the Birther Movement, which questioned the citizenship of her husband, the first Black president of the United States. “The whole [birther] thing was crazy and mean-spirited, of course, its underlying bigotry and xenophobia hardly concealed,” she wrote. “What if someone with an unstable mind loaded a gun and drove to Washington? What if that person went looking for our girls? Donald Trump, with his loud and reckless innuendos, was putting my family’s safety at risk. And for this I’d never forgive him.” People took to Twitter to commend Michelle Obama for being so candid and open about her life. “One of the worst things we do as women is not share the truth about our bodies, and how they work.” I am so grateful Black women, like Michelle Obama and Serena Williams, are being so honest about the barriers many people face to become parents. https://t.co/0Co4bZ82Qa — Evette Dionne (@freeblackgirl) November 9, 2018 Michelle Obama. Donald Trump hopped deep into his emotions while dealing with a CNN reporter during Wednesday’s White House press conference. While the President was attempting to dismiss reporter Jim Acosta, the guy refused to sit down and hush up, held on to the mic when an intern attempted to snatch it, and got that last question off. Needless to say, Trump wasn’t feeling it. He went in on Acosta, accusing him of being a terrible person and treating people horribly. Next thing you know, Jim Acosta gets his White House credentials pulled. While according to TMZ , CNN believes it’s due to Trump having to face tough questions he wasn’t in the mood for, Sarah Huckabee Sanders swears it’s because Acosta “put his hands” on a female White House staffer (the microphone girl) in an aggressive manner: https://twitter.com/PressSec/status/1060333176252448768 https://twitter.com/PressSec/status/1060333619728801792 https://twitter.com/PressSec/status/1060374680991883265 Acosta definitely pushed her arm away, but…it seems the White House is dragging this, a bit. B lack candidates were instrumental in helping the Democrats win the U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday, enabling Democrats to end one-party rule and turn up the heat on President Donald Trump . But it was a mixed result, with disappointments in places like Florida where Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum lost in a close race for governor. At the same time, several Black candidates made history, like Ayanna Pressley who become Massachusetts’ first Black woman in Congress . Some of the elections were plagued with a number of instances of attempts to suppress the Black vote, including a concerted effort in Georgia ahead of Election Day that continued on Tuesday . Some of these women made history by winning competitive primary elections, as they overcame racism, gender bias and obstacles within the Democratic Party. Congratulations to Jahana Hayes, the former national teacher of the year who just became the first Black women ever elected to Congress in Connecticut. #ElectionNight #Midterms2018 #RepresentTheVote https://t.co/BFuTdEpje8 — NewsOne (@newsone) November 7, 2018 Racism was an effective GOP tool The Republican base responded to racist dog whistles in several elections. Ron DeSantis infamously warned Florida voters not to “ monkey this up ” by electing his rival Andrew Gillum, who is African American. Within days, Florida residents began to receive racist robocalls that mocked Gillum. Stacey Abrams was also targeted with racist robocalls in Georgia shortly after Trump called her unqualified to be governor of Georgia before holding a rally for her GOP rival Brian Kemp . “I heard people were making racist robocalls in my name against Stacey Abrams, who I am one hundred percent for, in Georgia,” Oprah said on Instagram. “I just want to say: Jesus don’t like ugly … And we know what to do about that: vote. Tomorrow show up and show out, and vote.” pic.twitter.com/CvK5VP60Az — Kyle Griffin (@kylegriffin1) November 6, 2018 Triumph for anti-Trump activism “This was a remarkable wave of grassroots activism that swept across the country — with women and people of color leading the way. From a U.S. House of Representatives that reflects the will of the people to the passage of Amendment 4 in Florida, which restored voting rights to convicted felons, this election was an overwhelming rebuke of Trump and Trumpism, and a show of support for candidates who look like America and campaigned on a bold, forward-looking and inclusive vision,” said NAACP President Derrick Johnson . Vigilance needed to combat voter suppression Fighting against voter suppression is an ongoing struggle that requires tenacity. Georgia emerged as the epicenter for voting rights, where activists filed lawsuits against Kemp to ensure the votes of African Americans were counted. Kemp desperately used every trick in the book to win his election. “Voter suppression played a huge role in the silencing of the political voices of the Black community and all people of color,” the NAACP president said. “As we saw in Georgia and Tennessee, Republicans engaged in a massive voter suppression strategy that has included further rolling back the Voting Rights Act.” GA Secretary of State Brian Kemp stooped to new low in his ongoing efforts to keep black people from voting for @staceyabrams . U PDATED: 6:34 a.m. EDT, Nov. 7 — After a suspenseful Election Night, Stacey Abrams said she wouldn’t concede the race to be Georgia’s next governor to Brian Kemp, who was accused of orchestrating widespread voter suppression against Black people before and during Election Day. Mark Ganzon/Getty Images for Fenty Beauty Rihanna Is Serious About Not Wanting Trump To Play Her Music This past weekend, political analyst Philip Rucker was tweeting about how amazing Donald Trump’s rallies were because they throw out free T-shirts and blare Rihanna’s “Don’t Stop The Music” and everyone just loves it. Of course, this tweet ended up making the rounds and circled back all the way to Rihanna , who obviously isn’t okay with her music being played anywhere that’s associated with 45. She swiftly tweeted her disapproval and promised that her song wouldn’t be played at “those tragic rallies” for music longer…and Rih meant BUSINESS. Not for much longer…me nor my people would ever be at or around one of those tragic rallies, so thanks for the heads up philip! https://t.co/dRgRi06GrJ — Rihanna (@rihanna) November 5, 2018 According to the people over at TMZ , the star really did fire off a cease and desist letter to the cheeto-in-chief after he played “Don’t Stop the Music” at his Sunday rally in Chattanooga, TN. According to the letter, Trump has used Rihanna’s music “in connection with a number of political events held across the United States,” which is deemed “improper” because Rihanna hasn’t given her consent. Trump could ask permission from here on out, but we all know what her answer would be–which is probably why his people didn’t bother approaching her in the first place. This is far from the first time we’ve seen Ms. Fenty get political. Rihanna has remained politically active during this midterm season, and she endorsed Florida candidate Andrew Gillum on Instagram over the weekend as she continues to encourage every one of her fans to go vote. On top of that, Rih also made headlines recently for her apparent refusal to play at the Superbowl halftime show, which she did in support of Colin Kaepernick.
